DISPLAYING A USER INPUT MODALITY
An aspect provides a method, including: determining, using at least one detector, a location of a hand of a user with respect to an information handling device; receiving, from at least one sensor, gaze tracking data associated with an eye of a user; determining, using a processor and based upon the gaze tracking data, a location within an application currently active on the information handling device of a gaze of the user; identifying, using a processor, a character type associated with the application and corresponding to the determined location; identifying a keyboard having a keyboard layout corresponding to the character type, wherein the identifying a keyboard includes identifying a keyboard layout allowing provision of the identified character type; and displaying, on a display device of the information handling device, at a location corresponding to the location of the hand of the user, the keyboard having the keyboard layout.
KEYBOARD DEVICE
A keyboard device includes a bottom cover, a supporting plate, a flexible circuit board and plural key structures. The supporting plate is installed on the bottom cover. The supporting plate has a curved arc-shaped profile that is bent upwardly in a direction away from the bottom cover. The supporting plate includes plural perforations. The flexible circuit board is arranged between the bottom cover and the supporting plate. The plural key structures are installed on the supporting plate. The plural key structures are penetrated through the corresponding perforations and contacted with the flexible circuit board.
DEPLOYABLE KEY MOUSE
A computer input device can include a housing, a set of key switch mechanisms positioned in the housing, and a removable key structure that is operable between a first configuration positioned in the housing and a second configuration detached from the housing. The removable key can have a position sensor, wherein in the first configuration, the removable key structure is operable to provide a key-based typing input, and, in the second configuration, the removable key structure is operable as a computer pointing device using the position sensor. The removable key structure can therefore allow comfortable, portable, and precise pointer input for a computer input system.
TOUCH TYPE KEYBOARD USING TEMPORAL EVATUATION OF TIMESTAMPS TO MODIFY KEY FUNCTIONS
A keyboard using temporal evaluation of timestamps. The keyboard changes the functions of keys based the temporal relation of key events on home row. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.
Device having integrated interface system
A portable computer includes a display portion comprising a display and a base portion pivotally coupled to the display portion. The base portion may include a bottom case and a top case, formed from a dielectric material, coupled to the bottom case. The top case may include a top member defining a top surface of the base portion and a sidewall integrally formed with the top member and defining a side surface of the base portion. The portable computer may also include a sensing system including a first sensing system configured to determine a location of a touch input applied to the top surface of the base portion and a second sensing system configured to determine a force of the touch input.
ERGONOMIC KEYBOARD
An ergonomic keyboard is disclosed. The ergonomic keyboard includes a first key area, a second key area and an adjustment module. The adjustment module is pivotally connected between the first key area and the second key area. The adjustment module includes a first hearing, a second bearing, a rotary knob, an adjustment screw and a supporting base. The first and second bearings are pivotally connected to the first and second key areas respectively such that they allow adjustment of an included angle. The adjusting screw is fixedly connected to the rotary knob and can be rotated together with the rotary knob. The support base is supported on a plane, and an internal thread of the supporting base and the adjusting screw are screwed with each other. Thus, an inclination angle of the first and second key areas can be adjusted by the rotary knob.
Ergonomic keyboard user interface
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments providing an ergonomic user interface keyboard. An embodiment operates by determining a baseline keyboard interface corresponding to a baseline mobility of a finger of a user. An indication that the finger of the user has sustained an injury with an expected recovery time is received. A new mobility of the finger of the user with the injury is measured. A deviation between the new mobility and the baseline mobility of the finger is determined. An injury keyboard interface is configured with a shifted plurality of keys of the baseline keyboard interface to new positions away from the finger with the injury and towards another finger without the injury based on the deviation. The injury keyboard interface is displayed during the expected recovery time, wherein upon an expiration of the expected recovery time the baseline keyboard interface is displayed.
Adjustable keyboard
The present invention extends adjustable keyboard components. A user can selectively adjust height, tilt, and other keyboard positioning aspects (e.g., pitch, tilt, roll, yaw etc.), to accommodate the specific preferences and/or physical or anatomical characteristics of the user. Keyboard adjustments can tailor a solid foundational position for the user's fingers and hands. The keyboard can include separate left and right modules. Adjustability and separability facilitate highly variable and independent movement of the user's left and right hands. Adjustments and re-adjustments allow a user to make a wide range of alterations to their typing position at any point in time based on circumstances and comfort. As such, adjustments and re-adjustments can (potentially significantly) reduce discomfort and/or injuries associated with repetitive motion.
