Powered communication system for treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome
11567584 · 2023-01-31 ·

A powered communication system comprises an improved layout of keys configured to treat, mitigate, or delay the onset and reduce the severity of symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) and other pathologies by reducing movement of a user's fingers during typing. A layout of the powered communication system comprises the most-used letters on a home or center row while retaining a plurality of keys in the same placement as the QWERTY keyboard. The powered communication system further comprises customizable function keys to further reduce finger movement and at least one sensor to monitor a user's health while typing.

DYNAMIC INPUT DEVICE SURFACE TEXTURE COORDINATED WITH INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM OPERATIONS
20230027217 · 2023-01-26 · ·

A dynamic texture device coupled to an information handling system input/output device adjusts texture at the input/output device surface based upon texture information generated at the information handling system, such as a walking surface in a virtual world defined by a gaming application. Texture at an elastic cover is adjusted by applying variable magnetic fields to a magnetorheological fluid (MRF) disposed under the elastic cover in a reservoir. For example, an electromagnet changes pole orientation and magnetic strength at MRF contained in a reservoir under a keyboard palm rest to simulate walking in a virtual world on different types of surfaces.

Video Teleconferencing Program Emulating Keyboard Device and Software Application
20230229243 · 2023-07-20 ·

The present invention relates to a handheld keyboard or keypad device used for interacting with one or more video teleconferencing programs running on a separate system, such as, a laptop or any other computing device. The keyboard has a plurality of functional keys for emulating controls or functions of video teleconferencing programs and can be paired with the video teleconferencing programs using a Bluetooth channel established using a wireless transceiver. The functional keys can include functional keys related to a microphone, a camera, emojis, a chat, and more, of the video teleconferencing programs. In some embodiments, the functionality of the keypad is provided by a software application installed in an electronic device. The keypad device enables users to move around and exercise while participating in their teleconference meetings and obviates the need to remain in chairs for multiple hours per day.

Keyboard trading system

The present invention relates to systems and methods for providing customized keyboards for receiving user inputs, and view regions for displaying information for users in useful arrangements. Such keyboards include keys that are pre-programmed to reflect the issues present in each trading pane of the view regions. Using such keys, a user may direct the trading application to quickly and efficiently switch between multiple issues, and place, manipulate or cancel orders on them. The keyboard may also be designed such that multiple keys may be disabled, replaced or mapped to perform different functions.

Phonetic keyboard and system to facilitate communication in English
11705115 · 2023-07-18 ·

A system to facilitate communication in English uses a keyboard having at least one phoneme key that displays a phonetic pronunciation symbol that represent sounds of spoken English. The system also includes a computer board disposed within the keyboard and a processor and associated memory in electrical communication with an input from the phoneme key. The processor executes a set of computer instructions that bi-directionally translates the input as a standard English letter to a phonetic pronunciation or from a phonetic input to a standard English letter. An output device in electrical communication with the keyboard wherein the standard English letter is displayed is also provided. In one embodiment, a computing device configured to execute a set of computer instructions is provided that display a digitally produced keyboard for display that uses a downloadable APP to translate between a phonetic input and a standard English letter and displays a result.

KEYBOARD DEVICE

Provided is a keyboard device that can suppress a reduction in the operability of a key. A rear guiding member comprises a pair of guiding surfaces that, in a side view of a key, face forward and rearward and are formed along an arc that is convex toward the front. The key comprises a pair of sliding surfaces that slide against the pair of guiding surfaces. Due to this sliding of the guiding surfaces and the sliding surfaces, rotation of the key can be guided while displacement of the key in the front-rear direction is regulated. Consequently, because forward and rearward displacement of the key during key pressing can be suppressed, a reduction in operability (feeling of touch) during pressing of the key can be suppressed.

Phonemic keyboard apparatus and method

An apparatus which includes: a computer processor; a computer memory; and a computer display; and an audio speaker; wherein the computer memory has computer programming stored therein which is configured to be implemented by the computer processor to display a keyboard having a plurality of keys on the computer display; wherein each of the plurality of keys includes indicia for a phonemic sound; and wherein the computer programming stored in the computer memory is configured to be implemented by the computer processor to cause a sound corresponding to the phonemic sound of each corresponding key of the plurality of keys to be emitted from the audio speaker when each key of the plurality of keys is selected. A plurality of grapheme outcomes may be determined for each of the plurality of keys when each of the plurality of keys is selected.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND SYSTEM

According to an embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes an image interface, an input interface, a display interface, a manipulation interface, a storage unit, and a processor. The processor is configured to cause a display terminal through a display interface to display a screen so as to receive an input of a key through the manipulation interface; transmit an operation signal indicating the key to the one of external devices through the input interface; and when the key is a repeat key, transmit an operation signal for inputting a character string indicated by repeat information to the one of the external devices through the input interface.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONFIGURATION OF A CONTROLLING DEVICE TO ENABLE SELECTION OF ONE OR MORE MEDIA STREAMS
