PHONETIC KEYBOARD AND SYSTEM TO FACILITATE COMMUNICATION IN ENGLISH
A system to facilitate communication in English uses a keyboard having at least one phoneme key that displays a phonetic pronunciation symbol that represent sounds of spoken English. The system also includes a computer board disposed within the keyboard and a processor and associated memory in electrical communication with an input from the phoneme key. The processor executes a set of computer instructions that bi-directionally translates the input as a standard English letter to a phonetic pronunciation or from a phonetic input to a standard English letter. An output device in electrical communication with the keyboard wherein the standard English letter is displayed is also provided. In one embodiment, a computing device configured to execute a set of computer instructions is provided that display a digitally produced keyboard for display that uses a downloadable APP to translate between a phonetic input and a standard English letter and displays a result.
Keyboard dock verification
Keyboard dock verification can be performed. A dock report can be created and stored on a keyboard dock as part of the manufacturing process. The dock report can include device information for the child devices of the keyboard dock. When the keyboard dock is attached to a computing device, a dock manager executing on the computing device can query the keyboard dock to retrieve device information for the keyboard dock's child devices. The dock manager can create a dock report from the retrieved device information. The dock manager can also retrieve the dock report that is stored on the keyboard dock and compare it to the dock report that the dock manager created. If the two dock reports match, the dock manager can determine that the keyboard dock is verified and can allow the keyboard dock, including its child devices, to be enumerated on the computing dock.
Multi-angle support cover for electronic devices
Accessory units for electronic devices are described. The accessory units can include a panel that has a flexible substrate with a network of structural elements that are arranged to fold the panel into different forms and shapes similar to origami. For example, the panel can be bent along one or more fold lines that are defined by adjacent structural elements. In some cases, the panels are configured to fold at preferred fold lines, sometimes in non-parallel orientations with respect to each other. In one case, the accessory can be unfolded into a flat configuration and serve as a cover for the electronic device. In some cases, the accessory units can be brought behind and support an electronic device at different angles with respect to a support surface. The accessory units can also include features such as keyboards, touch pads, or other input devices for the electronic devices.
Rolly keyboard
The present invention relates to a rolly keyboard. The rolly keyboard comprises: a body having a polygonal columnar shape; a scroll wheel formed in the body; a key assembly coupled to the body, wherein the key assembly comprises a plurality of key line portions in which the keys are disposed in each of a plurality of lines, wherein the plurality of key line portions are wound in the polygonal columnar shape of the body. Thus, scrolling can be accomplished by the scroll wheel.
INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM VIRTUAL AND PHYSICAL KEYBOARD POSITION COORDINATION
A portable information handling system includes a physical keyboard that extends and retracts from within the system to outside of the system and a display that presents a virtual keyboard that moves synchronously with physical keyboard during retraction and extension. For example, as keys of the physical keyboard become visible or hidden by movement of the physical keyboard, the virtual keyboard slides across the display so that virtual keys are hidden or visible with the virtual keyboard in one example embodiment only showing virtual keys corresponding to hidden physical keys. In another example embodiment, the virtual keyboard accepts key inputs for hidden physical keys, which are disabled from accepting inputs.
Portable electronic device
The present disclosure discloses a portable electronic device including a primary display panel, a keyboard module, a secondary display panel, and a support plate. The primary display panel includes a first pivot and a second pivot. The first pivot and the second pivot are disposed at the primary display panel. The keyboard module faces the primary display panel and includes a third pivot. One side of the secondary display panel is connected to the first pivot, and another side is a free side. The secondary display panel is flipped through the first pivot to be overlapped on an upper surface of the keyboard module or to abut against the upper surface at the free side. The support plate is flipped through the second pivot and the third pivot to be overlapped on the bottom surface of the primary display panel or to support the primary display panel.
KEYBOARD ASSEMBLY
A shelf bracket is provided. The shelf bracket includes a shelf member and opposing side flanges extending from a back plate. A front flange extends from each of said opposing side flanges. The back plate, shelf member, side flange, and front flange define a cavity configured to receive an enclosure, such as by moving the enclosure in a vertical direction in and out of engagement with the cavity. The shelf member defines a bottom limit of the cavity such that movement of the enclosure into the cavity is limited to a first vertical direction and movement of the enclosure out of the cavity is limited to a second vertical direction, the second vertical direction being diametrically opposed to the first vertical direction. A support flange is optionally included, which is configured to engage with a support structure so as to provide support for the shelf bracket.
Electronic apparatus and operating method thereof
The disclosure relates to an electronic apparatus. The electronic apparatus may include a flexible panel comprising an operating side surface and a non-operating side surface. The operating side surface may include a touch operating area. The touch apparatus may include a plurality of raised units. The touch apparatus may be configured to form a plurality of raised operating portions corresponding to the plurality of raised units on a surface of the touch operating area.
FLEXIBLE KEYBOARD APPARATUSES
An example apparatus includes a first flexible portion connected to a second flexible portion. The first flexible portion includes a keyboard having a set of input keys disposed thereon and circuitry coupled to the set of input keys, the first flexible portion is to couple to a portable computing device proximal to a display side of the portable computing device. The second flexible portion has a plurality of fasteners to couple to a kickstand of the portable computing device, the first and second flexible portion to provide an opposing force there between while the kickstand is disposed at one of a plurality of variable support angles.
Measuring Capacitance
An apparatus may include an input surface, a plurality of key positions on the input surface, a force sensor positioned underneath the input surface at at least one of the key positions, and a proximity controller in communication with a capacitance measuring circuit incorporated into the apparatus.
