GENERATING MARK INFORMATION ON A VIRTUAL OBJECT
A method for generating mark information in a virtual environment includes displaying a target-perspective picture showing the virtual environment, a sight bead pointing to an aiming position, and receiving a mark operation triggered on a mark control interface. The method further includes, in response to receiving the mark operation, generating, according to the received mark operation, mark information on a virtual object to which the aiming position points. The virtual object on which the mark information is generated is a movable object, a virtual prop, a virtual building, or a virtual landscape object in the virtual environment. The generated mark information is visible at a position of the virtual object in the virtual environment to one or more teammates of the virtual character.
Input apparatus and method
An entertainment system includes a two-handed controller comprising corresponding controls in each of opposing halves of the controller, a first of the corresponding controls in each half providing input in at least two dimensions and a second of the corresponding controls in each half providing input in at least one dimension; and an entertainment device comprising a receiver adapted to receive control input signals from the two-handed controller, and adapted to operate in a first mode where the received control input signals from the controller are interpreted according to an asymmetric control assignment, and to operate in a second mode where control input signals from the first and second controls for a respective half of the controller are used to control the position of a respective virtual limb in three dimensions within a virtual environment provided by the entertainment device.
Systems and methods for communication between a wearable device and a remote device
Systems and methods for managing communications between a wearable computing device and at least one remote computing device, using a host computing device. The host computing device provides a message handling service that receives one or more messages directed to the wearable computing device from the remote computing device, or directed to the remote computing device from the wearable computing device, and, for each of the one or more messages, determines an action associated with the respective message; and takes the action for each of the one or more messages.
User interface devices for use in robotic surgery
A handheld user interface device for controlling a robotic system may include a member, a housing at least partially disposed around the member and configured to be held in the hand of a user, and a tracking sensor system disposed on the member and configured to detect at least one of position and orientation of at least a portion of the device. At least one of the detected position of the portion of the device and detected orientation of the portion of the device is correlatable to a control of the robotic system.
Peripersonal boundary-based augmented reality game environment
A method of providing an augmented reality game environment within a game space includes obtaining, by a processor, sensor data for the game space, determining, by the processor, a position of a player in the game space based on the sensor data, generating, by the processor, player image data of a peripersonal boundary of the player based on the determined position of the player for rendering a representation of the peripersonal boundary in the game space, the peripersonal boundary being disposed about, and spaced from, the determined position, obtaining, by the processor, player data for the player via an input modality, the player data being indicative of a player directive to modulate the peripersonal boundary, adjusting, by the processor, a size of the peripersonal boundary as a function of the player data, and updating, by the processor, the player image data based on the adjusted size of the peripersonal boundary.
Vehicle display device
A vehicle display device according to an embodiment of the disclosure includes a display that displays, as an image, functions for various pieces of vehicle operation information, a knob that is electrically interlocked with the display and selectively operates a corresponding function of the display according to left-right movement thereof, a guide rail that provides a movement path of the knob and divides a plurality of functional areas interlocked with the functions displayed on the display, and a guide part in which magnets having different polarities are alternately arranged in a lengthwise direction of the guide rail to automatically guide a location of the knob.
Hand-guided treatment device with operating element and display field
A hand-guided treatment device is configured for use in working positions tilted relative to each other by a tilt angle of at least 45° about a device longitudinal axis. The device has a device housing, a handle operating unit with a handle extending with a main direction component parallel to the device longitudinal axis and a finger-operable operating element within finger reach of the handle, and a display field arranged on an outside of the device housing with at least one optical display element. The display field is arranged offset relative to the operating element in a housing circumferential direction about the device longitudinal axis and extends in the housing circumferential direction over a housing edge and/or with a curved or kinked course.

DEVICE COMPONENT FOR A MAGNETORHEOLOGICAL BRAKING APPARATUS, HAVING TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION
A device component has a magnetorheological braking apparatus with a stationary holder and at least two brake components. One of the two brake components is connected to the holder for conjoint rotation and extends in the axial direction. The two brake components can be rotated relative to each other. The second brake component has a hollow sleeve part and surrounds the first brake component. A closed chamber is formed between the brake components. The second brake component is rotatably accommodated on the first brake component at a first end of the closed chamber. The closed chamber is substantially filled with a magnetorheological medium. A magnetic-field generator forms a magnetic field to influence the medium in the closed chamber. The second brake component is axially slidable on the first brake component to change a volume of the closed chamber to compensate for temperature-related and/or leakage-related volume changes.
INSTRUCTION INPUT DEVICE
At least a part of a movable switch is placed on a detection surface that is capable of detecting a variation in electrostatic capacitance caused by an approach or contact of a user's finger. A knob is configured to be displaced relative to the detection surface in accordance with an operation of the finger. A first conductive portion is arranged at a position in the knob where is separated from the detection surface. A plurality of second conductive portions are arranged at positions in the knob where are closer to the detection surface than the first conductive portion. A conductive path electrically connects the first conductive portion and the second conductive portions.
