A method in which a sensor controller is connected to a sensor having an electrode group provided together with a display panel configured to operate in during a variable refresh cycle among a plurality of refresh cycles, and an active stylus performs bidirectional communication with the sensor controller. According to the method, the sensor controller acquires a present refresh cycle among the plurality of refresh cycles of the display panel, generates an uplink signal, which serves as a reference for synchronization corresponding to the acquired present refresh cycle, and transmits the uplink signal to the active stylus, which is not detected as yet or is detected already, at the present refresh cycle.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND OPERATION CONTROL METHOD

An electrical device and an operation control method are provided. The electronic device includes a touch module and a processor. The touch module includes a touchable region. The touchable region is divided into at least a first touchable region and a second touchable region. The first touchable region is configured to implement a first function. The second touchable region is configured to implement the first function and a second function. The processor is electrically connected to the touch module. When at least one first touch point is detected in the first touchable region, at least one second touch point is detected in the second touchable region, and the processor determines that a distance between the first touch point and the second touch point is within a predetermined distance, the second touchable region is switched to implementing the first function.

User interface for managing access to credentials for use in an operation

The present disclosure generally relates to managing access to credentials. In some examples, an electronic device authorizes release of credentials for use in an operation for which authorization is required. In some examples, an electronic device causes display of one or more steps to be taken to enable an input device for user input. In some examples, an electronic device disambiguates between commands to change the account that is actively logged-in on the device and commands to cause credentials to be released from the secure element.

Method and apparatus of diagnostic test

Method, apparatus and computer program for providing a personalized study plan to a learner through cognitive and behavioral diagnosis of the learner. A learner who uses a data input device such as a smart pen and a stylus pen by using data obtained from the data input device. The method, apparatus and computer program relate to technology for obtaining input data based on information inputted by a user for at least one question with the data input device, creating test behavior data on the user from the obtained input data, analyzing cognition and behavior of the user based on at least one of metadata on the at least one question and the created test behavior data, and providing a personalized study plan to the user through an algorithm using machine learning based on the cognition and behavior analysis.

RANKED CHOICE ON AN ABSOLUTE SCALE

Methods, systems, and non-transitory machine-readable mediums for ranking on an absolute scale include displaying, on an electronic display, a first handle, a second handle, and an interactor, determining a value of the first handle and a value of the second handle based on their respective positions on the interactor, in response to a user dragging the first and second handles on the interactor, and determining a rank of the first and second handles based on the values of the first and second handles, in response to the user dragging the first and second handles on the interactor.

Clickpad with preloaded contact force for an information handling system

Clickpad structures may be attached to surfaces of an information handling system using material stacks comprising an elastic material, such as a sponge, which can preload a force on the clickpad surface. The preloaded force reduces a gap between the clickpad switch and contact point, which reduces instability, rattling, and other negative experiences with the clickpad surface experienced by a user. According to an embodiment, an input device for an information handling system includes a clickpad surface having a first side configured to receive user input and a second side opposite the first side; a first coupling stack comprising a first elastic material with a first thickness; and a second coupling stack comprising a second elastic material with a second thickness, wherein each of the coupling stacks is attached to the clickpad surface and a surface of the information handling system by adhesives.

Keyboard/video/monitor switch for servers without integrated video controller

An apparatus comprises a switch and nodes coupled to the switch. Each node does not include an integrated video controller and transmits data to the switch via a USB and a serial connection. The switch comprises a controller which stores video output generated based on data received via serial connections. The controller: receives a user selection for a first node; transmits the user selection to a first multiplexer; retrieves a first video output generated based on data received via the corresponding serial connection; and transmits the first video output to a second multiplexer. The first multiplexer transmits USB data received from the first node to the second multiplexer. If the first node is in a pre-boot environment, the second multiplexer selects the first video output for transmission. If the first node is in a post-boot environment, the second multiplexer selects the data received from the first node for transmission.

Audio driver and power supply unit architecture

This disclosure relates to speakers and more specifically to an array speaker for distributing music uniformly across a room. A number of audio drivers can be radially distributed within a speaker housing so that an output of the drivers is distributed evenly throughout the room. In some embodiments, the exit geometry of the audio drivers can be configured to bounce off a surface supporting the array speaker to improve the distribution of music throughout the room. The array speaker can include a number of vibration isolation elements distributed within a housing of the array speaker. The vibration isolation elements can be configured reduce the strength of forces generated by a subwoofer of the array speaker.

E-pen association within touch sensor and e-pen systems

An e-pen includes e-pen sensor electrodes (including a first and a second e-pen sensor electrode) and drive-sense circuits (DSCs) (including a first DSC and a second DSC. The first DSC drives a first e-pen signal having a first frequency via a first single line coupling to the first e-pen sensor electrode and simultaneously senses, via the first single line, the first e-pen signal. Based on e-pen/touch sensor device interaction, the first e-pen signal is coupled into at least one touch sensor electrode of the touch sensor device. The first DSC process the first e-pen signal to generate a first digital signal representative of a first electrical characteristic of the first e-pen sensor electrode. Similarly, the second DSC drives a second e-pen signal having a second frequency via a second single line coupling to the second e-pen sensor electrode and simultaneously senses, via the second single line, the second e-pen signal.
