ELECTRONIC PEN
An electronic pen indicates a position to a position detection module by transmitting and receiving signals with the position detection module. A cylindrical casing, a core member, a writing-pressure detector, and a writing-pressure transmission member are accommodated in a hollow section of a cylindrical casing. Provided is a pressing member that applies, based on an operation by a user, a displacement force to the core member from a first end, which is opposite to a second end serving a pen tip, to the second end serving as the pen tip. The writing-pressure transmission member includes a protrusion which, in operation, transmits a writing pressure, which has been exerted on the core member fitted in a fit-in portion included in the writing-pressure transmission member, to the writing-pressure detector. The pressing member is configured to apply a displacement force to the core member via the writing-pressure transmission member without applying an axial force to the writing-pressure detector.
Smart pen and a display device using the same
A smart pen including: a body part; a nib part at an end of the body part; a code detection unit for receiving light reflected from a display panel and the nib part, wherein the light reflected from the display panel and the nib part is used to detect shape data for code patterns of the display panel; and a code processor for generating coordinate data based on the shape data and transmitting the coordinate data to a main processor for driving the display panel based on the coordinate data.
INTERACTING WITH TOUCH DEVICES PROXIMATE TO OTHER INPUT DEVICES
In some embodiments, a keyboard is located proximate to a touch sensor that is operable to perform one or more keyboard functions. The state of a touch sensor and/or interaction of an electronic device with the touch sensor is controlled or altered based on detection that an object is proximate to the keyboard. In other embodiments, input to input devices that are proximate are screened. The input devices are located sufficiently proximate that a first input device falsely detects input when a user is actually providing input to a second input device. In particular examples, a location of a user or other object relative to the second input device is determined using a proximity or other sensor. Based on the location, the electronic device determines the user or other object is in position to use the second input device and screens out or filters input from the first input device.
COMPUTER MOUSE WITH AN ADJUSTABLE PALM REST
A computer mouse with an adjustable palm rest includes a main housing defined with a longitudinal direction and a traverse direction and has a carriage. A connecting base is rotatably connected to the carriage along a first axis. A supporting casing has a front wall and a rear wall. A palm-resting cover is fixed to the supporting casing. The front wall is closed to the connecting base. The supporting casing is rotatably connected to the connecting base along a second axis. The supporting casing can be arranged at different oblique angles related to the connecting base. A positioner chain is formed on a surface of the connecting base or the supporting casing and has a plurality of positioning dimples. A positioning assembly abuts against one of the dimples and retains the supporting casing at one of the oblique angles related to the connecting base.
ROLL TURNING AND TAP TURNING FOR VIRTUAL REALITY ENVIRONMENTS
Technologies are described for providing turning in virtual reality environments. For example, some implementations use roll turning that involves rotating around an outer edge of a control input, some implementations use tap turning to move directly to a location indicated by a control movement, and some implementations involve combinations of roll turning and tap turning.
Housing as an I/O Device
There are provided systems, devices and methods for operating a housing for an electronic device as an input/output (I/O) device. In one embodiment, an electronic device includes a housing configured to function as an integrated housing and I/O device and one or more sensors obscured by a panel of the housing. The one or more sensors being configured to sense via the panel of the housing. The electronic device further includes a processing unit communicatively coupled to the one or more sensors and configured to interpret electrical signals generated by the one or more sensors. One or more output devices are communicatively coupled to the processing unit and configured to provide an output in response to the one or more sensors generating an electrical signal.
HOME DEVICE CONTROLLER WITH A TOUCH CONTROL GROOVE
A home device controller can include one or more touch grooves, a touch slider operatively coupled to each of the one or more touch grooves, and one or more processors. The processor(s) can receive signals from each touch sensor, each signal corresponding to a touch gesture performed by a user interacting with the one or more touch grooves. The processor(s) can generate control commands executable by a home device based at least in part on the signals, and transmit the control commands to the home device for execution.
FLEXIBLE OR BENDABLE MAT, BAND OR CYLINDER
A flexible mat (2), optionally to be used for, but not limited to, a pointing device (1) arranged to control the movement of a pointer/cursor on a monitor/display at, for example, a computer or similar electronic device can include a plurality of links (11a-z) arranged side by side and where these links are substantially rigid in their axial direction and mutually rotatable at a limited angle. The links (11a-z) can include, or are made of, a substantially disc-shaped material or a foil, that at least one link (11a-z) is provided with a base portion (16a) extending in the longitudinal/axial direction of the link (11a-z).
OPERATION METHOD WITH FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION, APPARATUS, AND MOBILE TERMINAL
An operation method with fingerprint event recognition, an apparatus, and a mobile terminal relate to the field of communications technologies. The method includes receiving a fingerprint event from a user at a preset position on a mobile terminal, and displaying on a display screen of the mobile terminal at least one shortcut when the fingerprint matches a stored fingerprint event. A sliding gesture input from the user is detected, the sliding gesture starting at the preset position and extending from the preset position to select a first shortcut from the at least one shortcut, thereby improving operation efficiency.
CONTROL DEVICE AND COMPUTER MOUSE
The invention relates to a control device with a stator unit fastened via a stator connection to a support body, and a rotor unit rotatable about the stator unit. The rotatability of the rotor unit about the stator unit can be influenced in a targeted manner by means of a braking device. For its rotatability about the stator unit, the rotor unit is mounted on the support body by means of at least one bearing unit of a bearing device, so that a force acting on the rotor unit from radially outside can be diverted via the bearing unit into the support body, bypassing the stator unit and the stator connection.
