Embodiments describe a wireless charging system including an accessory device and a host device. The host device can include a housing having a charging surface and power transmitting circuitry coupled to a power source. The power transmitting circuitry can include an inductive transmitter coil configured to receive a first power and generate magnetic field, an amplifier coupled to the inductive transmitter coil and configured to output the first power to the inductive transmitter coil, an output sensor coupled to the inductive transmitter coil and configured to measure the first power to the inductive transmitter coil, and a power tracking controller coupled to the sensor probe. The power tracking controller can be configured to receive measurement of the first power, and generate a control signal based on the measured first power to modify an output impedance of the amplifier to output a second power different from the first power.

Systems and methods are provided for ultrasonic haptic array devices. One embodiment of haptic array device includes a plurality of cells, each cell including a base and an array of ultrasonic transducer elements, and a support structure configured to independently position each cell. A controller of the haptic array can control a focus point and a direction of ultrasonic output for each of the plurality of cells. Another embodiment is directed to a vehicle user interface having a user interface surface and a haptic array device integrated with the user interface surface. Embodiments are also directed to methods for controlling a haptic array device. One method includes controlling output of at least one first cell of the plurality of cells to control a focus point and a direction of ultrasonic output of the at least one cell, and updating output of the plurality of cells.

Wearable accessory device charging

One embodiment provides a method, including: detecting, at a wireless charger integrated into an electronic device, a connection of a wearable accessory device, wherein the wireless charger is positioned proximate to a probable user contact position; and transmitting, using the wireless charger and during a period when the connection is established, a charge to the wearable accessory device; wherein the wearable accessory device is worn by a user during the connection. A processor coupled to the memory, responsive to executing the instructions, performs operations including receiving a selection of a gaming accessory, receiving a selection of a game, and receiving inputs corresponding to selections of parameters for generating a vibration effect at the gaming accessory. The parameters include a control component of the gaming accessory, a game event associated with the control component, a vibration frequency of the vibration effect associated with the game event, a vibration intensity and duration, and a delay time associated with the event. The processor stores the selected parameters and presents the vibration effect during the game in accordance with occurrence of the game event and in accordance with the selected parameters; the vibration effect is presented after the occurrence of the game event in accordance with the delay time.

For example, an identity of an object placed on a touch-sensitive surface is determined and signal impedance characteristics associated with the object are also determined. The signal impedance characteristics may be utilized to determine tuning settings to apply to capacitive sensors such that the capacitive field of the device extends from the touch-sensitive surface to a touch surface of the object.
