An electronic device includes a display for detecting touch input, and at least one processor for recognizing a type of an auxiliary input device placed on the display. A method for utilizing the electronic device includes detecting via a touch screen a type of an auxiliary input device placed on a display based on a configuration of at least one or more conductors on the auxiliary input device, detecting an input event generated by the auxiliary input device, and executing via a processor at least one function of an executing program corresponding to the detected input event.

Rotary actuator assembly

A rotary actuator assembly includes a rotary actuator having a rotary body on a capacitively-sensing detection surface of the touch panel. A sensor ring coupled to the rotary body includes on a first ring surface includes alternately arranged contact surfaces and insulating surfaces and on a second ring surface includes a circumferential metal surface that is electrically connected to the contact surfaces. A sliding contact includes a contact pad and a contact spring connected together. The contact pad forms an electrical contact point fixed at a position of the detection surface. The contact spring contacts the contact surfaces and the insulating surfaces in alternation as the sensor ring rotates with rotation of the rotary body whereby a variable electrical signal is generated at the contact point. The electrical signal is detectable by the touch panel and the touch panel includes a mutual capacitance touch sensor assembly.

A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may include, for example, a processor that performs operations including detecting a first depression range of a button that includes an electro-mechanical sensor for detecting the first depression range, comparing the first depression range to a first actuation threshold, and asserting a first actuation state when the first depression range is at or exceeds the first actuation threshold. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Various embodiments disclosed in the present document relate to an electronic device capable of wirelessly charging a pen input device. According to various embodiments disclosed in the present document, provided is an electronic device comprising: a housing that accommodates an electronic component in the inner space thereof; a wireless charging coil disposed on the inner surface of the housing forming the inner space; a first magnetic body group disposed on the inner surface of the housing and aligned with the wireless charging coil in a first direction; and a magnetic field sensor, disposed to be spaced apart from the first magnetic body group by a predetermined distance, for recognizing reverse attachment of a pen input device attachable to the electronic device. Various other embodiments may be provided.

Information processing system, information processing device, output device, and information processing method

A robot 150 is placed on a touch panel. When touch sensor action sections 156a to 156c provided on a bottom face 150b of the robot act on a touch pad, an information processing device shows a face image in a rectangular area 16 of a display screen 14 of the touch panel. The rectangular area 16 corresponds to the bottom face of the robot. The face image is grabbed from the bottom face 150b of the robot 150 and appears in a face section 152. Further, the brightness of pixels in areas 18a and 18b of the display screen 14 is changed. The areas 18a and 18b correspond to optical sensors 160a and 160b provided on the bottom face 150b of the robot. The robot 150 detects the change in question, converting the change into a motion of an internal actuator, sound output, light emission, and so on in accordance with predetermined rules.

A touch panel apparatus including a first detector detecting a first operation of a touch operation unit, a second detector detecting a second operation of a rotating operation unit disposed close to the touch operation unit, and a microprocessor performing making a determination whether to prioritize the first or second operation, and outputting an operation command corresponding to the first or second operation in accordance with the determination. The second detector includes six or more touch sensors disposed on an outer peripheral surface of the rotating operation unit, and the microprocessor performs outputting the operation command corresponding to the first operation when the first operation is detected, while not outputting the operation command corresponding to the first operation even if the first operation is detected when the touch operation over a predetermined area on the outer peripheral surface is detected by the touch sensors.

Mouse pad structure

A mouse pad structure (10) includes a pad (1) and an oleophobic film (2), and the pad (1) has an upper surface (11), and the oleophobic film (11) is adhered to the upper surface (11). The oleophobic film (11) includes a plastic substrate (21) and multiple glass microbeads (22) scattered in the plastic substrate (21), so that the mouse pad structure (10) may have a smooth surface and the effects of resisting oil stains and fingerprints and enhancing the aesthetic appearance of a mouse pad.
