A detection device includes: a substrate having a sensor region in which photosensors are arranged in a first direction and a second direction. In the sensor region, the substrate includes: read control scan lines extending in the first direction and configured to transmit read control signals; and output signal lines extending in the second direction. The photosensors includes: dummy elements comprising first photodiodes and arranged along a contour of the sensor region; and detection elements comprising second photodiodes and arranged on an inner side of a dummy region in which the dummy elements are arranged. The dummy elements are coupled to neither the read control scan lines nor the output signal lines. The detection elements are coupled to the read control scan lines and the output signal lines and are configured to, after receiving the read control signals, output signals generated by the first photodiodes to the output signal lines.

Projection system

A projection system for projecting an image comprises: a visible light projector that projects the image with visible light; an invisible light projector that projects an invisible light image onto the object with invisible light; an imaging device that captures the invisible light image projected from the invisible light projector; and a controller that obtains information regarding reflected light from the object while obtaining three-dimensional measurements of the object to control the image, based on a capture image. The invisible light image includes a bright region and a dark region having a light amount less than the light amount of the bright region. The invisible light projector emits the invisible light to cause the light amount of the dark region in the invisible light image to be more than or equal to an offset value.

Information processing apparatus, information processing meihod and program

An apparatus and method provide logic for processing information. In one implementation, an information processing device includes a housing and a display unit configured to display at least a portion of a first content to a user. A projection unit is configured to project at least a portion of a second content onto a projection surface. A detection unit configured to detect a displacement between the projection surface and a portion of the housing, the housing being configured to support the display unit, the projection unit, and the detection unit. The detection unit is further configured to determine whether the displacement falls within a threshold distance. The projection unit is further configured to project the second portion of the content onto the projection surface, when the displacement falls within the threshold distance.

Real-time mapping of projections onto moving 3D objects

A “Concurrent Projector-Camera” uses an image projection device in combination with one or more cameras to enable various techniques that provide visually flicker-free projection of images or video, while real-time image or video capture is occurring in that same space. The Concurrent Projector-Camera provides this projection in a manner that eliminates video feedback into the real-time image or video capture. More specifically, the Concurrent Projector-Camera dynamically synchronizes a combination of projector lighting (or light-control points) on-state temporal compression in combination with on-state temporal shifting during each image frame projection to open a “capture time slot” for image capture during which no image is being projected. This capture time slot represents a tradeoff between image capture time and decreased brightness of the projected image. Examples of image projection devices include LED-LCD based projection devices, DLP-based projection devices using LED or laser illumination in combination with micromirror arrays, etc.

Object of the present invention are a method and a system for monitoring a user's attention distribution in the course of a digital image exploration, adapted to produce feedback that give the user himself an indication of the efficacy of the exploration performed, even on the basis of the relevance that the various zones of the image have in relation to a certain goal, relevance that can possibly be determined by an expert system responsible for examining the image as a function of the above-mentioned objective.

Imaging apparatus, imaging method, and program

Provided are an imaging apparatus, an imaging method, and a program capable of accurately and simply controlling a movement sensitivity of an index displayed on a finder monitor to a sensitivity desired by a user by using a touch panel installed on a rear monitor. The imaging apparatus (10) has a finder that includes the finder monitor (13), the touch panel (31) that receives a swipe operation for moving the index, and an image processing unit (24). The image processing unit (24) includes a sensitivity setting unit that sets a first sensitivity for coarsely moving the index by the swipe operation or a second sensitivity for finely moving the index by detecting a contact operation to the touch panel in the swipe operation, and a movement control unit that moves the index on the basis of the swipe operation on the touch panel and the sensitivity set by the sensitivity setting unit.
