Non-contact type touch panel system, method of controlling same, and non-contact type input device mountable on existing touch screen
Provided are a non-contact type touch panel system that enables a user to input information even without touching a display panel with a finger, and a method of controlling the system. Further, a non-contact type touch panel display structure is also proposed. The non-contact type touch panel display structure can maximally prevent direct contact by a user when the user inputs information to a touch panel because a touch screen is spaced apart from the outer edges of a display. Further, the non-contact type touch panel display structure has a function of enabling a user to visually or aurally recognize information when the information is input in a non-contact type.
OCCUPANT MONITORING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
An occupant monitoring device for a vehicle includes a display, a controller, and an imager. The display is configured to display an operation screen for an occupant in the vehicle. The controller is configured to execute control based on an operation type determined as an operation performed by the occupant on the operation screen of the display. The imager is configured to image the occupant in the vehicle. The controller is configured to avoid executing the control based on the determined operation type in a case where the operation type performed by the occupant at least involves movement toward the imager.
Identifying an Object in a Field of View
The technology disclosed relates to identifying an object in a field of view of a camera. In particular, it relates to identifying a display in the field of view of the camera. This is achieved by monitoring a space including acquiring a series of image frames of the space using the camera and detecting one or more light sources in the series of image frames. Further, one or more frequencies of periodic intensity or brightness variations, also referred to as ‘refresh rate’, of light emitted from the light sources is measured. Based on the one or more frequencies of periodic intensity variations of light emitted from the light sources, at least one display that includes the light sources is identified.
Device for interfacing with a computing program using a projected pattern
A device for interfacing with an interactive program is provided, including: a housing, including, an IR projector for projecting an IR pattern into an interactive environment; a camera for capturing images of the projected IR pattern; an image processor configured to process the captured images for identification of the projected IR pattern; a transceiver configured to communicate with a computing device, the transceiver configured to transmit data generated by the image processor to the computing device, such that a position of the device in the interactive environment is determined based on the captured images of the IR pattern, the determined position of the device being utilized as input for the interactive program.
WEARABLE DEVICES FOR COURIER PROCESSING AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The disclosed embodiments include wearable devices and methods for performing courier services. In one implementation, the device includes a depth camera for detecting object depths in a field of view, a scanner for decoding visual codes, a speaker for producing audible sounds in response to an electrical signal, memory, and a processor. The processor may execute instructions to detect a scanning event based on a first signal received from the depth camera, determine a scan region associated with the scanning event, provide a second signal to the scanner causing the scanner to decode a visual code located within the scan region, generate scan data based on a third signal received from the scanner, and provide a fourth signal to the speaker causing the speaker to emit a notification sound. The wearable device may also capture signatures, dimension objects, and disable device functions based on time and place restrictions.
DISPLAY DEVICE AND INPUT/OUTPUT DEVICE
A circuit which detects an output current from a pixel and an output current from an input device, and converts the output current into data is provided. The current detection circuit includes an integer circuit, a comparator, a counter, and a latch. The integrator circuit integrates the potential of a first signal during a period determined by a second signal and outputting it as a third signal. The comparator compares the potential of the third signal with a first potential and outputting a fourth signal. The counter outputs the number of pulses included in a fifth signal as a sixth signal during a period determined by the fourth signal. The latch holds the sixth signal. The integrator circuit preferably further includes an operational amplifier and some capacitors. The first signal is supplied from a pixel included in a display device or an input portion included in an input device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INTERACTIVE PROJECTION
An interactive projection system and method comprising a camera/projector unit having a computer processor connected via a network to a content server and content database. The system projects interactive trigger areas on a three-dimensional object. Specific content stored on the content server or locally in the memory of the computer processor is associated with each trigger area. A user interacts with the trigger areas and the system projects informational or entertainment content about the object on the surface of the object.
TOUCH SENSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLY
A touch sensing apparatus is disclosed comprising a panel that defines a touch surface, a plurality of light emitters and detectors arranged along a perimeter of the panel. The light emitters are arranged to emit a respective beam of emitted light that travels above the touch surface, wherein the light detectors are arranged to receive detection light from the emitted light. The plurality of light emitters and detectors are arranged above the touch surface and are connected to a substrate extending in a direction parallel with a normal axis of a plane in which the panel extends. A method of assembling a touch sensing apparatus is also disclosed.
Display capable of interacting with an object
A system includes a screen and a computer that detects an object near the screen and allows interaction between the object and the computer.
Method for outputting command by detecting object movement and system thereof
The present invention discloses a method for outputting a command by detecting a movement of an object, which includes the following steps. First, an image capturing device captures images generated by the movement of the object at different timings by. Next, a motion trajectory is calculated according to the plurality of images. Further next, a corresponding command is outputted according to the motion trajectory. The present invention also provides a system which employs the above-mentioned method.
