Image display apparatus and method of controlling image display apparatus
A projector includes a projection unit, an external I/F, an image I/F, a connection detecting unit, a manipulation detecting unit, and an instruction information generation unit. The connection detecting unit detects connection in the external I/F and the image I/F. The manipulation detecting unit causes the projection unit to project a detecting image when connection is detected and detects a manipulation performed with respect to the detecting image. The instruction information generation unit executes processing which is based on the detected manipulation.

Method and wearable device for providing a virtual input interface
Provided is a wearable device including: an image sensor configured to sense a gesture image of a user setting a user input region; and a display configured to provide a virtual input interface corresponding to the set user input region.
Spatial image display touch device
A spatial image display touch device includes an imaging element, a display, an optical film and a sensor unit. The imaging element and the display are retained in a housing and inclined to each other. The display generates an image light passing through the imaging element to form a spatial image. The optical film, composed of a plurality of micro-grids arranged in a matrix, is attached on the display. The sensor unit is mounted in the housing to detect an object appearing at the position wherein the spatial image is displayed. By arranging the optical film in front of the display, only the spatial image is visible and the problem of ghost images is avoided.

PRESSURE SENSING TOUCH SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Pressure-sensing touch systems and methods are disclosed for sensing the occurrence of a touch event based on pressure applied at a touch location. The touch system includes a light-source system and a detector system operably adjacent respective input and output edges of a waveguide. Pressure at a touch location on the waveguide gives rise to a touch event causes the waveguide to bend or flex. The waveguide bending causes a change in the optical paths of light traveling by FTIR, causing the light distribution in the output light to change. The changes are detected and are used to determine whether a touch event occurred, as well as the time-evolution of the touch event. The changes in the output light can include polarization changes caused by birefringence induced in the waveguide by the applied pressure applied. Various detector configurations are disclosed for sensing the location and pressure of a touch event.
