MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same are provided. A mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a display unit to output a first area thereon, the first area including a function icon, and a controller to detect setting information related to the function icon, on the basis of a touch degree of a first touch input applied to the function icon, wherein the controller applies the detected setting information to a setting of at least one application corresponding to at least one icon included in a second area, different from the first area, when a second touch input succeeding the first touch input is to applied to the second area.
FLOATING SOFT TRIGGER FOR TOUCH DISPLAYS ON ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A portable electronic device (100) having a touch screen (112) with a floating soft trigger icon (175) for enabling various functions of the electronic device (100), such as bar code reading, capturing RFID data, capturing video and images, calling applications, and/or placing phone calls. The floating trigger icon (175) is displayed on the touch screen (112) to enable easy identification and access of the trigger icon (175). The trigger icon (175) may be selected via application of any one of various unique control gestures (200, 210, 220, 230, 240, 250, 260) to configure the electronic device (100). Based on the selected mode or function of the device (100), the trigger icon (175) may alter its appearance to facilitate use of the device (100). The operation and functionality of the trigger icon (175) may be programmed to customize operation of the device (100).
NAVIGATING AMONG ACTIVITIES IN A COMPUTING DEVICE
A mobile computing device runs multiple activities concurrently and provides at least two modes for interacting with the activities. The user may toggle between the modes as desired. In a full-screen mode, one activity occupies substantially an entire display screen. In a windowed mode, the activity is visible within a window, and a portion of at least one other window is also visible. In the windowed mode, the user can cause windows to move, thereby changing focus from one activity to another. For example, the window having focus can be moved off the screen, to be replaced by a new window that is then given focus. The windows are ordered in a sequence and move in concert with one another; pushing one window off one edge of the screen causes a new window to appear at the opposite edge. A persistent positional relationship can be established among windows.

Touch Operation Processing Method and Terminal Device
A touch operation processing method includes detecting a touch operation of a user, which starts from a border of a screen display area to the screen display area, using the first point touched by the touch operation in the screen display area as a starting point, and performing, according to the touch operation, reduction processing on an operation interface displayed in the screen display area, where one edge of an operation interface after the reduction processing includes the starting point.

Suggested Application Download
Example techniques involve suggesting an application of a streaming audio service via an application of a media playback system. An example implementation involves a mobile device displaying, via a control application of a media playback system, a library control comprising indicators representing respective media items of a particular streaming audio service. The mobile device receives, via the library control, input data indicating a selection of an indicator representing a particular media item. The mobile device sends instructions to cause a playback device to play back the particular media item. While the playback device is playing back the particular media item, the mobile device displays, via the control application, a control representing an application of the particular streaming audio service. The mobile device receives input data indicating a selection of the control representing the application of the particular streaming audio service and causes the mobile device to download the application.

SELECTION RING USER INTERFACE
Utilization of a selection ring to select icons is provided herein. The selection ring is presented in a first graphical user interface. In response to receiving a first selection of the selection ring by a user, a plurality of icons are presented in the first graphical user interface. User manipulation of a position of the selection ring within the first graphical user interface is received, where that manipulation occurs without altering a location of the plurality of icons being presented within the first graphical user interface. In response to receiving a second selection associated with the selection ring, an icon from the plurality of icons is selected based on the position of the selection ring within the first graphical user interface. A second graphical user interface is then presented to the user based on the selected icon.
