A communication system includes an information terminal, and a printing apparatus configured to perform intergroup communication with the information terminal belonging to a group. The printing apparatus includes a printing part configured to perform printing, a data receiver configured to receive print data from the information terminal via the intergroup communication, and a print controller configured to control the printing part using the received print data.

A printing apparatus includes one or more memories, and one or more processors that execute a set of instructions to transmit information for identifying print data to a different printing apparatus, receive a print request including print data, store the print data included in the received print request in the memories, and print data, wherein, in a case where the received print request is a print request transmitted from the different printing apparatus, the print data included in the received print request is printed without being stored in the memories.

There is disclosed a method for management of printing jobs. In the method user identification is requested to identify the user, who then selects an artwork for the labels. Data regarding the selected artwork is retrieved from a data storage. Printing properties are defined for the selected artwork, and a set of available unique codes for the labels is determined on the basis of the user identification. A printing file is constructed including information related to at least the selected artwork and printing material selected for the printing job. The printing file is stored into a cloud storage linked with the identified user. A unique code is assigned for each label from the set of available unique codes. The unique code is assigned either in the printing file or when printing the labels.

A system for performing multifunction device session management includes a multifunction device and a computer-readable storage medium that includes one or more programming instructions. The one or more programming instructions cause the multifunction device to detect by one or more sensors of the multifunction device an indication that a session is to be initiated, in response to detecting the indication that the session is to be initiated, initiate the session, retrieve a device policy associated with the multifunction device from a data store associated with the multifunction device, identify a condition from the device policy, monitor for the occurrence of one or more triggers during the session, wherein each trigger is associated with the identified condition in the device policy, and in response to detecting that one or more of the triggers have occurred at the multifunction device, perform one or more actions pertaining to completion of the session.

The consumable determination process is to determine whether a particular consumable is included in one or more of consumables attached to the printing device, the particular consumable being a consumable that meets a prescribed condition required for transition to a specific printing state where specific printing under a contract with the server is allowed. The transition process is to execute the transition to the specific printing state in a case where: the communication state is determined to be communicable with the server in the communication status monitoring process; and the particular consumable is determined to be included in the one or more of consumables in the consumable determination process.

An image forming apparatus generates embedded information for uniquely identifying a page, for each page of a document, prints the document while embedding the embedded information into the document, and registers a set of pieces of the embedded information in a blockchain service. The image forming apparatus thereby verifies whether the printed product is a correct printed product.
