In some implementations, a device may identify, for a printing operation, a media type associated with media involved in the printing operation. The device may receive, from a sensor, a sensor measurement associated with an ambient condition of the printer. The device may determine, using a print optimization model, a printing configuration for the printing operation based on the media type and the ambient condition, wherein the print optimization model is trained based on reference data associated with historical printing operations associated with one or more printers, wherein the reference data includes reference configurations associated with the historical printing operations, respective media types of media used in the historical printing operations, and corresponding ambient conditions of the one or more printers during the historical printing operations. The device may cause the printer to perform the printing operation according to the printing configuration.

The illustrative embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for notifying a user when a set of characters are identified in a media file. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a set of characters inputted by the user of a computing device, playing the media file, transcribing the media file to form a transcription, and determining whether the transcription of the media file includes the set of characters. The method also includes initiating a notification prompt on a graphical user interface of the computing device in response to determining that the media file includes the set of characters.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores a support program for an information processing device connectable to a printer. The information processing device includes: a display; a computer; and a memory. The memory stores an operating system in which a general-purpose printing program corresponding to the printer and supported by the support program is embedded. The general-purpose printing program is configured to manage data for displaying a print settings screen on the display. The support program, when executed by the computer, causes the information processing device to perform: when a connection error that a connection between the information processing device and the printer has failed is confirmed: generating; and transferring. The generating generates notification data indicating a notification content for notifying a user of the connection error. The transferring transfers the notification data to display the notification content based on the notification data on the print settings screen.

A processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: reference host device information that represents device attributes provided to a host device and different device information that represents device attributes provided to a different device; and notify a user that uses the host device of device attributes of the host device that are not provided to the different device as characteristic information on the host device.

A non-transitory storage medium stores a supporting program executable by a computer of an information processing apparatus. The supporting program is configured to support a printing program of an operating system of the information processing apparatus. The printing program of the operating system is configured to process data so as to display a print setting screen on a display of the information processing apparatus, Service information which is information related to a service applicable to the external printer is stored in the external printer. The supporting program causes the information processing apparatus to obtaining the service information, generating, based on the obtained service information, notification data indicating a notifying image to a user, and displaying the notifying image on the print setting screen displayed on the display of the information processing apparatus by outputting the generated notification data to the printing program of the operating system.

The communication interface is configured to facilitate communication with an image forming apparatus and a destination of the print failure report identified in the settings. The processor is configured to selectively execute a print mode for transmitting designated print data of a print object to the image forming apparatus and a report mode for transmitting print data for reporting including print log information to the destination based on the settings.
