PRINTER, PRINT SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
A controller is configured to: acquire access information indicating a transmission source of instruction data, a process to be executed by a printer including download printing of downloading a document from a storage on a network and printing the document, a print mode in the download printing including first and second modes, based on the access information, access, via a communication interface, a server that is the transmission source of the instruction data, and receive the instruction data transmitted from the server; and in response to determining that the instruction data includes an execution instruction of the download printing, determine the print mode based on characteristics of the document; and based on the determined print mode, download the document via the communication interface, from a particular storage instructed by the instruction data, thereby receiving the document, and perform printing based on the received document, thereby performing the download printing.
Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for implementing cloud connected printers and an adaptive printer-based application framework
A roll of media having a core encircled by a length of media units adhered to a liner, the roll of media having the liner having a width across a shortest dimension of the liner, a perforation pattern in the liner configured to react to a tear in the liner by redirecting the tear towards a center line of the perforation pattern; the perforation pattern having a plurality of perforated lines in the liner, wherein each perforated line comprises a series of die-cuts, wherein the perforation pattern comprises a center-line perforation and a plurality of perforations on either side of the center-line perforation.
Information processing apparatus of providing criteria for introducing products and non-transitory computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus includes a storage unit that stores history information regarding a use condition of the information processing apparatus to which a product has been introduced, an obtaining unit that obtains, from an external apparatus, analysis information for analyzing the history information, an analysis unit that analyzes the history information by executing the obtained analysis information, and an output unit that outputs an analysis result obtained by executing the analysis information.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM INCLUDING TERMINAL DEVICE THAT SUBSTITUTES OBJECT DATA IN PRINT DATA WITH HASH VALUE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THAT SUBSTITUTES HASH VALUE IN PRINT DATA WITH OBJECT DATA, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus and a terminal device. The terminal device converts a document into first print data, generates a second hash value corresponding to second object data in first print data, generates second print data, when the second hash value accords with the first hash value in a first storage device, by substituting the second object data in the first print data with the first hash value, and transmits the second print data to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus substitutes, upon receipt of the second print data, the first hash value included in the second print data with the first object data corresponding to the first hash value and stored in the second storage device, generates second bitmap data by analyzing the second print data subjected to the substitution, and causes an image forming device to execute a printing operation.
Page parallel PDF flattening
Systems and methods are described that facilitate parallel processing of PDF documents for printing, wherein the PDF documents comprise transparency effects. Transparent objects in the PDF document are identified, and the document is divided into subgroups of pages. The transparency objects are then flattened to enable conversion to PostScript format. The PostScript pages are processed and rendered to raster for printing.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM THAT TRANSMITS PRINT JOB TO TRANSFER DESTINATION DETERMINED OUT OF PLURALITY OF IMAGE FORMING APPARATUSES, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming system includes a terminal device, a management apparatus, and a plurality of image forming apparatuses. The terminal device includes a first controller that generates a print job, and transmits the print job to the management apparatus. The management apparatus includes a storage queue, and a second controller that stores the print job in the storage queue upon receipt thereof, determines one of the image forming apparatuses that completes a printing operation based on the print job most rapidly, as transfer destination, on a basis of printing ability of each of the image forming apparatuses, and transmits the print job to the image forming apparatus determined as the transfer destination. The image forming apparatuses each include an image forming device, and a third controller that causes the image forming device to execute the printing operation based on the print job, upon receipt thereof.
Communication apparatus and printer for performing wireless communication of image data representing image of print target
A communication apparatus may perform: communicating a wireless setting value with a printer via a first wireless communication interface, establishing the wireless connection with the printer via a second wireless communication interface using the wireless setting value; sending first image data representing a first image of a print target to the printer via the second wireless communication interface using the wireless connection; determining, after the first image data is sent to the printer, whether an apparatus-side disconnection condition is satisfied; disconnecting the wireless connection when it is determined that the apparatus-side disconnection condition is satisfied; and sending, when it is determined that the apparatus-side disconnection condition is not satisfied, second image data representing a second image of a print target to the printer via the second wireless communication interface using the wireless connection.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENT JOB PROCESSING AND SCHEDULING USING PROCESS MINING
A method, a non-transitory computer readable medium, and a system are disclosed for processing and scheduling print jobs on a plurality of printers. The method includes: collecting job information on one or more past print jobs; collecting job information on a plurality of print jobs currently being processed, each of the plurality of print jobs being assigned to one or more operators from a plurality of operators; generating a process workflow visualization for the plurality of print jobs currently being processed with a processing mining algorithm based on the job information collected on the one or more past print jobs and the job information collected on the plurality of print jobs currently being processed; and displaying the process workflow visualization for the plurality of print jobs currently being processed.
METHODS FOR PROCESSING DOCUMENTS FOR USE IN VARIABLE DATA PRINTING OPERATIONS
Methods for identifying and generating a preview set of documents for use with variable data printing operations reduce the number of records that are previewed using filtering criteria. Records to be included in the preview set include text objects having text variables, image objects having image variables, and barcode objects having barcode variables. Records for the preview set also include those defined by rules and associated conditions based on data provided to generate the documents. A better representation of the variable data print job is provided.
LABEL APPLICATION SYSTEM WITH A LABEL PRINTER ATTACHABLE TO A ROBOTIC ARM
In some implementations, a system may receive, from a camera, an image that depicts an object on a conveyor. The system may cause, based on an image processing model indicating that the image depicts the object, a robotic arm to attach to a label printer. The system may determine, using the image processing model, an object position of the object on the conveyor. The system may cause the robotic arm to move the label printer into an application position that corresponds to the object position on the conveyor. The system may cause the label printer to print a label. The system may cause the label printer to apply the label to the object.
