ADAPTIVE SELECTION OF RENDERING INTENT FOR NEGATIVE TEXT EMBEDDED WITH IMAGE OBJECTS
Methods and systems for rendering an image. In an example embodiment, a step or operation can be implemented to pre-render white objects in an image with a background image set to a single complementary color. Such a single complimentary color assists in obtaining the textual content only from the complex background. A connected component analysis can be performed with respect to said image to identify elements in said images that should be rendered as objects composed of text and graphics. Tags are then assigned for final rendering of the image after performing said component analysis with respect to said image. Modification of tag values with respect to said images avoids unwanted artifacts such as, for example, bleed through, background closing, ghost effects, etc.

PRINTING SYSTEM COMPRISING A PROOF PRINT REPOSITORY
The present invention relates to a printing system, comprising a print job receiving section permitting a user to submit a print job to the printing system, the print job comprising a plurality of print job settings, a print job queue section comprising a print job queue for print jobs submitted to the printing system and scheduled to be printed, and a proof print repository section comprising a proof print repository for proof print jobs submitted to the printing system. The printing system comprises a continuous monitoring section configured to compare print job settings of a proof print job residing in the proof print repository or scheduled in the print job queue with current resources available in the printing system according to a proof print policy. The proof print policy is attached to the proof print job and comprises a comparison criterion. Upon a match of the print job settings of the proof print job with the current resources according to the comparison criterion, the proof print job is scheduled in the print job queue.
PORTABLE TERMINAL
A portable terminal comprises an ID acquisition section, a position information acquisition section and a return instruction section. The ID acquisition section acquires ID information that specifies a print job sent from an information processing apparatus to an image forming apparatus. In a case in which the ID information is acquired and a beacon signal is received from a beacon transmitter, the position information acquisition section acquires, according to the received beacon information, position information relating to a position of the portable terminal relative to the image forming apparatus. If the position information meets a specific condition indicating the approach of the portable terminal to the image forming apparatus, the return instruction section instructs the image forming apparatus to return from a power-saving mode to a normal mode.
STORAGE MEDIUM STORING INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING PRINTING DEVICES TO CREATE PRINT LABELS TO BE USED IN OVERLAID STATE
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions for a terminal device including a processor. The computer-readable instructions, when executed by the processor, causes the terminal device to perform: generating a plurality of sets of label data for creating a plurality of print labels, each set of label data including print data and attribute specification information; acquiring a plurality of sets of medium type information for a plurality of printing devices, each set of medium type information indicating a type of a printing medium mounted in the corresponding printing device; determining a plurality of output destinations for the plurality of sets of print data from among the plurality of printing devices on the basis of the plurality of sets of label data and the plurality of sets of medium type information; and transmitting each of the plurality of sets of print data to the corresponding output destination.
Image processing system, image generation-output control apparatus, and method of processing information, configured to use imposition conversion
An image processing system for executing a plurality of processes includes a process execution control apparatus, and image generation-output control apparatuses of different types. The process execution control apparatus includes a process execution controller to control the processes, and to transmit a command information to the image generation-output control apparatuses. Each of the image generation-output control apparatuses includes a command information converter to convert the command information to a format processable by the image generation-output control apparatus, an imposition convertor to convert initial designation information to imposition process information processable by the image generation-output control apparatus, and an image drawing information generator to generate image drawing information.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus includes a first control circuit, a second control circuit, and a third control circuit. The first control circuit communicates with an information processing device. The second control circuit is configured to communicate with the first control circuit. The third control circuit is configured to communicate with the second control circuit and control a printer. The first control circuit is configured to receive print information from the information processing device during a power-saving mode and control the start of the second control circuit based on the print information. The second control circuit is configured to control a power supply to the third control circuit based on the start by the first control circuit and transmit, to the third control circuit, a warm-up start instruction for the printer based on the print information acquired from the first control circuit after communication with the third control circuit becomes possible.
Print System That Reduces Transmission Failure of Instruction Execution Type Print Job and Recording Medium
A printing system includes an electronic device and a print apparatus. The electronic device includes a central processing unit and a storage device, and generates a print job. The print apparatus executes the print job. The storage device stores a job transmission program. The CPU executes the job transmission program to function as a spool availability determination unit and a job transmitter. The spool availability determination unit executes a determination of whether the print apparatus is capable of spooling an instruction execution type print job as the print job, executed in accordance with a specific instruction. The job transmitter transmits the instruction execution type print job to the print apparatus when the spool availability determination unit determines that the print apparatus is capable of spooling the instruction execution type print job. The spool availability determination unit obtains determination information for the determination from the print apparatus.
STORAGE MEDIUM, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A program stored in a non-transitory storage medium causes a computer to execute: storing a print job list indicating print schedule for a print job; receiving a change request to change the print schedule; and querying a transmission source of the print job. In the querying the transmission source of the print job, a transmission source of the print job is queried whether or not change of the print schedule according to the change request is acceptable.
