A printed matter processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit that acquires image data of an environment in which a printed matter is set, a display unit, and a processor configured to, by executing a program, input the image data acquired by the acquisition unit, display how the printed matter is seen in a case where the printed matter is set in the environment on the display unit, by a composited image in which the printed matter is composited in the image data in accordance with a printing condition of the printed matter, and decide the printing condition of the printed matter by changing and displaying the printing condition of the printed matter in accordance with a user operation, and output the printing condition of the printed matter without outputting the image data.

To reduce a feedback delay as much as possible while maintaining the suppression effect of the tone variation in a case where tone correction is performed real time during processing of a print job. The density reference value for tone correction is managed in association with the sheet type registered for the feeding cassette of the printing apparatus. Due to this, even in a case where print jobs are switched, the feedback of a parameter necessary for tone correction is not interrupted unless the sheet type registered for the feeding cassette is changed.

An image forming apparatus includes a printing device, a controller that controls the printing device, and a print job management unit that executes a secure print job by the controller based on a job request from a user. The controller executes calibration of the printing device when the controller detects that a predetermined parameter measured from a previous calibration exceeds a predetermined value. The print job management unit, upon receiving a job request for the secure print job, determines whether or not a difference between a current value of the predetermined parameter and the predetermined value is less than a predetermined threshold, and if the difference is less than the predetermined threshold, the print job management unit cancels the secure print job.
