INSPECTION APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, INSPECTION PROGRAM, AND INSPECTION METHOD
An inspection apparatus includes: a hardware processor that: conducts an inspection on an image by comparing a scanned image with a correct image, the image being formed on paper in accordance with a print job, the scanned image being generated by reading the image, the correct image serving as a reference for the inspection of the image; and determines whether a page is a target for the inspection in accordance with a type of the paper on which the image will be formed according to print setting of the print job, wherein the hardware processor conducts the inspection on the image on a page that has been determined to be the target for the inspection by the hardware processor, and does not conduct the inspection on the image on a page that has been determined to not be the target for the inspection.
Synchronous monitoring and feedback system to dynamically optimize the resource usage of backup service
A method, apparatus, and system for regulating resource usage of a backup application is disclosed. The operations comprise: continuously monitoring and obtaining system resource usage, process states, and backup policy parameters; generating a normalized band value based on the system resource usage, the process states, and the backup policy parameters; generating a straight line plot based on the band value, a total CPU value, and a deviation value; calculating a slope of the straight line plot, wherein the slope is utilized to generate a deviation value based further on a first value and a second value received from a user, and wherein the deviation value is fed back to the generation of the straight line plot to normalize the slope; generating control values based on the slope; and adjusting performance of the backup application based on the control values to regulate system resource usage of the backup application.
PRINTING SYSTEM, HOST APPARATUS, PRINTING CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A printing system includes a host apparatus configured to transmit a command to a printer apparatus. The host apparatus includes a communicator configured to receive status information containing information indicating a status of the printer apparatus, which is transmitted by the printer apparatus; a monitor configured to monitor the status of the printer apparatus based on the information indicating the status of the printer apparatus, which is contained in the status information received by the communicator; a determiner configured to determine, based on a result of monitoring the printer apparatus by the monitor, whether a reset command to be transmitted to the printer apparatus is to be generated; and a generator configured to generate the reset command when the determiner determines that the reset command is to be generated. The communicator is configured to transmit the reset command generated by the generator to the printer apparatus.
NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND PRINTING METHOD
A supporting program according to aspects of the present disclosures can be executed by a CPU of a PC and corresponds to a printer connected to the PC. When the CPU receives, through a general-use printing program implemented in the OS of the PC in advance, a print instruction to cause the printer to perform printing, the supporting program executes a restricting process of restricting printing based on the print instruction.
BIN PACKING IN 3D PRINTERS
Disclosed herein is a technique to efficiently pack a print volume of 3D printers having print jobs with a large number of objects. The technique positions unique objects that adhere to a similar structural pattern more closely when the degree of variation between the objects is small. Thus, while each object is unique, a greater extent of similarity between the objects causes a given group of objects to be positioned more closely to one another in the print area of the 3D printer.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus, having a recorder, a display, an input interface, a memory, and a controller, is provided. The controller is configured to control the recorder to consume colorant to print images on sheets, count a consumption value and a quantity of the sheets consumed, determine an average usage value based on the consumption value and the quantity of the sheets, obtain a filled amount value and determine a first printable quantity, determine a second printable quantity, control the display to display a first screen including a first object indicating the first printable quantity in the display, control the display to display a second screen including a second object indicating the second printable quantity in the display, and control the display to display a screen including a third object, through which one of the first object and the second object to be displayed in the display is selectable.
Image forming apparatus capable of undergoing remote image diagnosis, control method therefor, and storage medium storing control program therefor
An apparatus that enables an operator to easily perform an image diagnosis by ascertaining an analysis image that does not include an unnecessary image and that reduces a user's superfluous indication. A forming unit forms an image on a sheet. An image reading unit reads image data from an original. An output processing unit outputs a second analysis image that is obtained by adding a predetermined image pattern to a first analysis image for an image diagnosis to a sheet with the forming unit. A read processing unit reads the sheet on which the second analysis image is output with the image reading unit and generates first image data. An analysis unit analyzes the first image data. An erasing unit generates second image data that is displayed for the image diagnosis by erasing the predetermined image pattern from the first image data.
Printing systems and methods for monitoring print jobs
An information processing apparatus configured to cause a printer to perform a print job includes a driver and a monitoring section. The driver is configured to generate print data of the print job and to transfer the generated print data to the printer. The monitoring section is configured to perform a status acquiring process for acquiring status information of the printer. The monitoring section is configured to perform the status acquiring process over a period from a start of transfer of the print data to an end of transfer of the print data.
Non-transitory computer readable medium, image processing apparatus, and image processing method
An information processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit that acquires information related to a network including a group of nodes, and a group of real links that connects the nodes, an adding unit that generates an extension network by adding to the network at least a virtual link that link nodes that are not linked by a real link, and a clustering unit that clusters the group of the nodes by iteratively calculating a stochastic process of a transition between the nodes linked by the real link and the virtual link in the extension network until the stochastic process is regarded to be in a steady state.
