Systems and methods for redirecting one or more printers from a virtual computing device to a physical computing device. The method includes initiating a printing application on a virtual computing device and exporting at least one printer configuration. The at least one printer configuration corresponds to one or more printers communicatively coupled to a physical computing device. The method also includes storing the at least one printer configuration to a data file on the virtual computing device and copying the data file from the virtual computing device to the physical computing device. The method further includes invoking the data file on the physical computing device such that the at least one printer configuration is imported on the physical computing device. The method also includes generating for display on the virtual computing device at least one indication of the one or more printers communicatively coupled to the physical computing device.

An information processing apparatus includes a communication interface and a controller. The printing device is configured to print on a printing medium. The controller is configured to perform a service provision process for providing a service utilizing a printing device. The controller is configured to perform the service provision process using individual information of the printing device and contract identification information associated with both the individual information and service information related to provision of the service. The service provision process includes: (a) registering a user in association with contract identification information associated with individual information of a first printing device; and (b) when the first printing device is replaced with a second printing device and the provision of the service is continued utilizing the second printing device, associating individual information of the second printing device with the contract identification information associated with the user registered in the (a) registering.

An image forming device includes a storage unit and a control unit. The storage unit stores user information according to a specific device connected to an external network in advance. The control unit receives an execution instruction as an execution instruction of a job by a user indicated by the user information according to the specific device, if the execution instruction of the job is received from the specific device via the external network, and executes the job according to the execution instruction.

A system and method for asset registration and tagging includes determining candidate devices on a network or subnet. Device information is pulled from discovered devices. Device records are stored with device information including device serial number, model number, asset ID and service record information. A QR code is generated and displayed or printed at each discovered device. A device user scans the QR code to supply location information, as well as other user input, which is added to the device information. A device is then registered and an asset tag is printed at the device with instructions to affix it on an exterior for future reference.

A printing system acquires device information from a printing device, transmits the device information acquired to a service providing device and registers the device information acquired, and receives registration information, from the service providing device, for the printing device registered to access the service providing device, with the registration information including an address of the cloud printing service provided by the service providing device and a signed certificate. The received registration information is transmitted to the printing device. The printing device of which the device information has been registered with the service providing device accesses the service providing device using the registration information to acquire a print job held by the service providing device and execute the acquired job.

An image processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire a registration request that a user uses to request a print service apparatus to register the image processing apparatus and the user; acquire identification information on an administrator having an administrative right to the print service apparatus; in response to the registration request, request the print service apparatus to register the image processing apparatus and the user; and request the administrator identified by the identification information to perform authentication under the administrative right to register the image processing apparatus and the user on the print service apparatus by transmitting, to the administrator, authentication information, used to register the image processing apparatus, and identification information on the user that are acquired from the print service apparatus.

An approach provides access to cloud services that are impractical or difficult to implement on end-user devices without a high level of programming skill and customization. The approach uses a first set of cloud services, referred to herein as Integrated Cloud Environment (ICE) cloud services, to access to a second set of cloud services, referred to herein as Smart Integration (SI) cloud services, on end-user devices. The ICE cloud services provide a user-friendly user interface for accessing the SI cloud services via an end-user device, implement the Application Program Interfaces (APIs) of the SI cloud services, and also manage results generated by the SI cloud services. The ICE cloud services also manage user information, authorization credentials and tokens needed to access third-party services. According to another embodiment, the SI cloud and the ICE cloud are integrated using direct linking, i.e., directly linking an end-user device to the SI cloud.

An information processing system includes a first controller that controls access to resources on a network based on authority to use the resources, a first manager that registers and manages users who access the resources via the first controller, a second controller that controls, independently of the first controller, access to the resources on the network based on authority to use the resources, a second manager that registers and manages users who access the resources via the second controller, and an identifier that identifies, in response to second authority to use a resource in the second manager being set for a user, first authority of the user to use the resource in the first manager.

An information processing system includes: a processing apparatus that includes a first processor and performs processing of print data; and a management apparatus that includes a second processor, generates print data, transmits the print data to the processing apparatus, and manages the print data, the first processor being configured to: make a request to the management apparatus for registration of first print data with the management apparatus, the first print data serving as a target for processing by the processing apparatus, the second processor being configured to: receive the request for the registration from the processing apparatus, and in response to the first print data not being the print data generated by the management apparatus, newly register the first print data with the management apparatus and manage the first print data.

A cloud print system connected to an image forming apparatus via a network comprises one or more memories storing a set of instructions and one or more processors that execute the set of instructions to store a print job received from other cloud print system and information indicating the other cloud print system, transmit the stored print job to the image forming apparatus in response to a request from the image forming apparatus, receive information of a execution result of the transmitted print job from the image forming apparatus, and transmit the received information of the execution result to the other cloud print system by using the information indicating the other cloud print system.
