Image processing device and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing computer-readable instructions for image processing device
An image processing device may include a controller configured to, in a case where a disabling instruction to cause a service state to shift to a disabled state is obtained under a situation where the service state is an enabled state, shift the service state from the enabled state to the disabled state, and in the case where the disabling instruction is obtained under the situation where the service state is the enabled state, send a first event deletion instruction to a server. The first event deletion instruction may be an instruction to delete, from an event which is to be notified to the image processing device, an acceptance of a job sending request by the server.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS PERFORMING PROCESS FOR PROVIDING PRINTING SERVICE UTILIZING PRINTING DEVICE
An information processing apparatus includes a communication interface and a controller. The printing device is configured to print on a printing medium. The controller is configured to perform a service provision process for providing a service utilizing a printing device. The controller is configured to perform the service provision process using individual information of the printing device and contract identification information associated with both the individual information and service information related to provision of the service. The service provision process includes: (a) registering a user in association with contract identification information associated with individual information of a first printing device; and (b) when the first printing device is replaced with a second printing device and the provision of the service is continued utilizing the second printing device, associating individual information of the second printing device with the contract identification information associated with the user registered in the (a) registering.
Printer With Integrated Wireless Bridge
A computing device includes: a housing configured to receive a supply of print media; a print head supported by the housing; a wireless communications subsystem supported by the housing; a controller supported by the housing, the controller configured to: control the communications subsystem to detect a data collection device; obtain, from the data collection device via the communications subsystem, monitoring data collected by the data collection device indicative of an environmental condition; transmit the monitoring data; receive a command based on the monitoring data; and control the print head to apply indicia to the print media according to the command.
IMAGE CONTROL APPARATUS RECEIVING SHUTDOWN INSTRUCTION AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
An image control apparatus connected to an image forming apparatus through a network includes one or more controllers having one or more processors and one or more memories. The one or more controllers are configured to receive, through a network, a shutdown instruction issued to the image forming apparatus, and determine whether the image forming apparatus is connected to a second network other than a first network through which the image forming apparatus is connected to the image control apparatus. When the one or more controllers determine that the image forming apparatus is connected to the second network other than the first network, the one or more controllers do not issue the shutdown instruction to the image forming apparatus even when the one or more controllers receive the shutdown instruction through the network.
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHENTICATION SERVER, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER-READABLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRINTER
An authentication server may, in a case where a communication state between the authentication server and a management server is a non-connecting state, send first authentication information to an external device. A printer may, in a case where a communication state between the printer and the management server changes from a communication-enabled state to a communication-disabled state, shift a state of the printer from a first permission state to a first prohibition state, while the state of the printer is the first prohibition state, accept an input of second authentication information from a user; and, in a case where the input of the second authentication information is accepted and the second authentication information matches the first authentication information, shift the state of the printer from the first prohibition state to a second permission state.
Printer, computer-readable medium, and communication system to communicate with multiple devices independently
A printer according to an embodiment includes: a communication unit configured to perform communication based on a first gateway and a second gateway; and a control unit configured to control the communication unit to perform the communication through the first gateway in communication with a first device connected to a mobile communication network and to perform the communication through the second gateway in communication with a second device connected to a LAN. The control unit is configured to control the communication unit such that the communication with the first device and the communication with the second device are performed independently from each other.
PRINTER CONSUMABLE CHIP UPGRADE SYSTEM AND METHOD, AND CONSUMABLE CONTAINER
The present disclosure relates to a printer consumable chip upgrade system and method, and a consumable container. The printer consumable chip upgrade system includes an interface module (34) and a consumable chip (104), wherein the interface module (34) is used for receiving connection information and/or an upgrade instruction and transmitting the connection information and/or the upgrade instruction to the consumable chip (104); and the consumable chip (104) is used for establishing a wireless connection between the consumable chip (104) and an external upgrade device (106) on the basis of the connection information, and/or executing an upgrade operation on the basis of the upgrade instruction.
PULL-PRINT SERVERS
A pull-print server may include a receiver to receive a print job from a client device. The print job includes a first page and a second page. Further, the pull-print server may include a transmitter to transmit the print job to a printer via a network in response to a reception of a first pull-print request from the printer. The pull-print server may include a controller to receive page count information from the printer upon completion of printing of the first page. The page count information indicates a number of pages printed corresponding to the print job. Further, the controller may detect an interruption of the print job prior to completion of the print job and cause the interrupted print job to resume on the printer based on the page count information and in response to a reception of a second pull-print request from the printer.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming device connected to a terminal device, the image forming device includes a recognition information receiver that receives recognition information that is unique information of the terminal device from the terminal device, a storage that stores the recognition information received by the recognition information receiver, and a determiner that compares the recognition information received by the recognition information receiver with the recognition information stored in the storage to determine whether the received recognition information is stored in the storage, wherein, if when the determiner determines that the received recognition information is not stored in the storage, the image forming device performs guidance processing that notifies operation contents in the terminal device.
Apparatus and method for metering and monitoring printer related data on non-networked printers
This invention relates to an apparatus for monitoring a locally attached printer using the locally attached printer's Ethernet interface. A USB device is installed between a computer and a locally attached non-networked printer and additionally connects to the printer via an Ethernet interface. The USB device uses SNMP (or other network protocols) to manage the printer via the Ethernet interface. The system may then report the management information to a central server.
