SETTING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE IMAGE FORMING APPARATUSES AND MANAGEMENT SERVER
Provided is a setting management system for managing the change status of setting information in an image forming apparatus during operation. Multiple image forming apparatuses start operating based on the same setting information in which operation setting values transmitted from a management server are reflected. Each of the image forming apparatuses receives changes in the setting information by multiple setting-receiving units during operation. In each of the setting-receiving units, a change-detecting unit detects that the setting information is changed. The setting-change status of setting information is correlated with the setting-receiving unit and transmitted by a change-status-transmitting unit. The management server receives the setting-change status from an image forming apparatus by a server-communication unit. As a result, a setting-management unit collectively manages histories of the setting changes of multiple image forming apparatuses based on the received setting-change status and the operation setting values.
Systems and methods for identifying a set of characters in a media file
The illustrative embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for notifying a user when a set of characters are identified in a media file. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a set of characters inputted by the user of a computing device, playing the media file, transcribing the media file to form a transcription, and determining whether the transcription of the media file includes the set of characters. The method also includes initiating a notification prompt on a graphical user interface of the computing device in response to determining that the media file includes the set of characters.
Image forming apparatus with multiple print engines for distributed processing of single print job
Upon satisfaction of a predetermined trigger condition with a first hard disk drive mounted in a first controller, a first processor executes a first common file stored in a first common file storage region and write and store a first configuration file into a first configuration file storage region. The first processor executes the first common file and the first configuration file of a first firmware program and drives a first print engine to execute a first job segment stored in a first job segment storage region.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND NON TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes: a print data acquisition unit that acquires print data; a layout information acquisition unit that acquires layout information concerning plural image forming parts that are aligned from an upstream side toward a downstream side in a moving direction of a transfer target that moves and form images of respective different colors on the transfer target; and an image information generation unit that generates pieces of image information for the respective colors used by the plural image forming parts from the print data during a generation period and generates image information used by an image forming part located on an upstream side in the moving direction more in a former half of the generation period than in a latter half of the generation period.
Image forming apparatus, image forming method, and image forming system with rewritable print and permanent print function
According to one embodiment, an image forming apparatus includes an image forming job created and transmitted by an job creation unit including an image to be printed, a receiving unit that receives a request of print setting to the image, a display unit that displays a setting screen having a setting unit to designate a setting of rewritable print or permanent print per page in response to receive the request of print setting, a memory unit that stores the setting of rewritable print or permanent print per page set by operating the setting screen, in addition to the image as the image forming job, and an image forming unit that receives the image forming job from the job creation unit and forms images on a sheet based on the setting in the image forming job.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM, IMAGE FORMING CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
Provided is an image forming system in which a plurality of image forming apparatuses are tandem-connected in series. The image forming system comprises a controller that processes image data used for image formation and controlling the image forming apparatus, wherein the controller has a function of outputting an inspection image for obtaining calibration data of the image forming apparatus by the image forming apparatus and enabling acquisition of the reading result read by an image reading unit, and in the function, the controller prepares data for the inspection image to be output by one image forming apparatus and duplicates the data, and transmits inspection image data to each image forming apparatus, and performs control so that image is formed on different transfer media respectively by the respective image forming apparatuses based on the inspection image data received by each image forming apparatus.
Printing with target color data
In one embodiment, a processor-readable medium stores code representing instructions that when executed by a processor cause the processor to print a print job, and determine target color data for each sheet of the print job while printing the job. The instructions further cause the processor to continually save the target color data to a server for each sheet of the print job as each sheet is printed.
Nested zoom in windows on a touch sensitive device
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a technique for generating nested zoom in windows on a touch sensitive device. A first portion of the user content is zooming into by touching the display screen in a proximity of the first portion using the touch input device while retaining an original zoom size of a remaining portion of the user content. A second portion of a zoomed in first portion of the user content is zooming into by touching the display screen in a proximity of the second portion using the touch input device while retaining an original zoom size of the zoomed in first portion.
Systems and methods for managing the execution of processing jobs
The illustrative embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for managing the execution of processing jobs. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a processing job associated with a set of processing job parameters. The processing job is sent from a user interfacing device associated with a user. The method also includes determining a processing job priority for the processing job using the set of processing job parameters, identifying a destination processing device capable of executing the processing job using the set of processing job parameters, and initiating execution of the processing job at the destination processing device to form processed data in response to determining to execute the processing job based on the processing job priority.
Method and apparatus of processing information in an environment with multiple devices and resources
A method and apparatus are disclosed that provide processing data associated with a job request. In one example, the job request may be a printer job to print a particular document based on predefined settings. The data processing operation may include determining at least one job specific resource available to fulfill the job request, and performing at least one of a prioritization computation, a job specific requirement computation, and a geographical determination computation. Additional operations may include selecting at least one appropriate device to fulfill the job request based on the at least one computation operation and the at least one available job specific resource, and processing and completing the job using the at least one appropriate device based on the at least one computation.
