LABEL APPLICATION SYSTEM WITH A LABEL PRINTER ATTACHABLE TO A ROBOTIC ARM
In some implementations, a system may receive, from a camera, an image that depicts an object on a conveyor. The system may cause, based on an image processing model indicating that the image depicts the object, a robotic arm to attach to a label printer. The system may determine, using the image processing model, an object position of the object on the conveyor. The system may cause the robotic arm to move the label printer into an application position that corresponds to the object position on the conveyor. The system may cause the label printer to print a label. The system may cause the label printer to apply the label to the object.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM CAPABLE OF RELIABLE REMOTE OUTPUT
Provided is an image forming apparatus capable of reliably outputting remotely. The job acquisition unit acquires a job. When the job is acquired by the job acquisition unit, an imaging unit captures the surroundings and acquires image data. The person detection unit detects a person in the image data imaged by the imaging unit. When the person is detected by the person detection unit, the notification unit notifies the person to request a response to the job. The image forming unit forms an image of the job after the notification by the notification unit.
Printer, computer-readable medium, and communication system to communicate with multiple devices independently
A printer according to an embodiment includes: a communication unit configured to perform communication based on a first gateway and a second gateway; and a control unit configured to control the communication unit to perform the communication through the first gateway in communication with a first device connected to a mobile communication network and to perform the communication through the second gateway in communication with a second device connected to a LAN. The control unit is configured to control the communication unit such that the communication with the first device and the communication with the second device are performed independently from each other.
Apparatus and method for metering and monitoring printer related data on non-networked printers
This invention relates to an apparatus for monitoring a locally attached printer using the locally attached printer's Ethernet interface. A USB device is installed between a computer and a locally attached non-networked printer and additionally connects to the printer via an Ethernet interface. The USB device uses SNMP (or other network protocols) to manage the printer via the Ethernet interface. The system may then report the management information to a central server.
Printing method, information processing device, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing program
A printing method includes a customizing step of receiving a customization instruction of an administrator and customizing a printing screen, a printing step of performing printing in response to reception of a printing start instruction, a first displaying step of displaying the customized printing screen during the printing step, and a customized information processing step of enabling customized information corresponding to the customized printing screen to be confirmed after printing, when an execution instruction by a user is received during displaying the customized printing screen.
Communication apparatus that provides a communication parameter and method of controlling the same
In order to enable a reduction in complexity in setting a communication parameter, a communication apparatus operable to provide a communication parameter to an external apparatus, generates a first image that is used in a first setting scheme for providing a communication parameter and in which information including a communication parameter is encoded; and generates a second image that is used in a second setting scheme for providing a communication parameter and in which information that does not include the communication parameter and that does include authentication information for performing an authentication is encoded. Then, the apparatus accepts information used to determine which of the first setting scheme and the second setting scheme to use; and, displays, based on the information, either the first image or the second image.
PRINTING WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF MASKS
In some examples, a system receives image data for printing by a printer, and for a given colorant of a plurality of colorants to be used to print an image based on the image data, selects a plurality of different types of masks to use when dispensing printing fluid drops of the given colorant when printing the image. The system generates control data for printing the image using the selected plurality of different types of masks.
Information processing apparatus, method for controlling information processing apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus connected to an image forming apparatus includes a display control unit configured to perform control for displaying at least a predetermined image in a predetermined display region and shifting a display position of the predetermined image displayed in the display region in accordance with a command from a user, a setting unit configured to set a value used for adjusting a position where the image forming apparatus prints an image onto a recording medium based on the display position of the predetermined image in the display region, and a transmitting unit configured to transmit the value set by the setting unit to the image forming apparatus.
Print from web services platform to local printer
Techniques are disclosed for locally printing a print job generated by a remote web services platform. It may be that a local computer and an application of the remote web services platform that generates the print job lack a bidirectional communications link (like a VPN connection). A printer service on the web services platform presents itself as a printer to an application on the web services platform. The printer service receives a print job from the application and transmits it to a client-side print service. The client print service then sends the print job to a local printer.
INSPECTION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, INSPECTION SYSTEM, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An inspection apparatus registers, as a reference image, image data generated based on a print job or image data obtained by scanning a printed sheet. The inspection apparatus sets a determination criterion value used in an inspection of a printed material to determine quality of the printed material and determines, in an inspection method for inspecting the printed material using the registered reference image which is based on image data generated based on a print job, quality of the printed material based on a difference between scanned image data that is obtained by scanning the print material and the registered reference image and on the determination criterion value. The inspection apparatus controls updating of the registered reference image based on a result of the determination.
