There are provided an information processing apparatus and a control method which realize job holding processing while reducing time taken to complete transmission of a job. The control method includes not notifying a spooler of deletion of the job from a job queue after the spooler specifies that transmission of all of pieces of data corresponding to the job is completed and in a case where processing of the job is not completed by a communication apparatus.

An apparatus includes an operating unit. The operating unit includes one or more processors each configured to transmit an execution request for executing a process based on a user's operation, and a delivery unit configured to receive event information indicating an event generated in the apparatus, and to deliver the received event information to the processors. A connection is established for performing communications between the apparatus and the operating unit every time each of the processors transmits the execution request, and a permanent connection for performing communications between the apparatus and the operating unit that is permanently established is used when the delivery unit receives the event information.

An information processing apparatus capable of operating an application, the application includes a generation unit that generates a control job for occupying communication with a peripheral device and enter the generated control job in a job queue, and a deletion unit that deletes the control job entered in the job queue, wherein if a status of the control job entered in the job queue is processing, communication with the peripheral device via a communication unit is occupied by the application that has created the control job, and after communication for the application is completed, the deletion unit deletes the control job entered in the job queue.

An operation system includes: an operation apparatus that includes a display displaying information and an operation unit receiving an operation, is connected to a communication network, and, using the display and the operation unit, enables other apparatus to operate through the communication network; an operation target apparatus that is connected to the operation apparatus in parallel using the communication network and a direct connection line and receives an operation through the communication network; a connection storing unit that is built in the operation apparatus, is connected to the operation target apparatus through the communication network and stores connection information used for operating the operation target apparatus; and a search device as defined herein, and the search device includes: a first information acquiring unit; a second information acquiring unit; an apparatus specifying unit; and a storage instructing unit as defined herein.

An object of the present disclosure is to print a nail art correctly in a case where the fingernail position changes during the period from detection of a printing-target fingernail area until printing is performed. One embodiment of the present invention is a program for causing a computer of an information processing apparatus to function as: a first detection unit configured to detect a printing-target fingernail area from a first captured image; a creation unit configured to create print data for performing printing in a fingernail area detected by the first detection unit; a second detection unit configured to detect a printing-target fingernail area from a second captured image before transmitting the print data to a printer; and a correction unit configured to correct the print data based on a difference between first detection results by the first detection unit and second detection results by the second detection unit.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium stores a set of program instructions installed on and executed by a computer provided in a terminal device. The set of program instructions includes receiving a print start operation to start printing images represented by first and second sets of print data. The first set of print data represents a first print image correlated with a first print medium type. The second set of print data represents a second print image correlated with a second print medium type. The set of program instructions include transmitting the first set of print data, and transmitting the second set of print data to the printer. The second print image is to be printed after the first print image is printed. The transmitting the second set of print data is performed before the printer complete printing the first print image.

Provided is a method of controlling an information processing apparatus. The control method includes: registering a printer in the information processing apparatus; generating a print queue for the printer in a case where the printer is registered; and managing a plurality of addresses that are transmission destinations of print data in association with the generated print queue.

An object is to reduce the processing time. One embodiment is a non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a program for causing an information processing apparatus to function as: a detection unit configured to detect an area of a first object for each second object from a captured image obtained by capturing the second object including the first object; a first display control unit configured to display a display item indicating a detected area at a position corresponding to the area detected by the detection unit in the captured image displayed on a screen; and a second display control unit configured to display a temporary area that is created based on the area of the first object detected in the second object in which area detection has succeeded in the captured image of the second object that is displayed on the screen and in which area detection has failed.

In a case where it is determined that an HTTP request has been received via an IPP printing port, an image processing apparatus transmits a first HTTP response for permitting transmission of print data to an information processing apparatus. On the other hand, in a case where it is determined that an HTTP request has been received via a port different from the IPP printing port, the image processing apparatus transmits a second HTTP response including data regarding a remote screen for enabling the information processing apparatus to manage the image processing apparatus to the information processing apparatus.
