Dynamically revising an in-process build
Dynamically revising an in-process build is disclosed. A build system receives a build configuration comprising information that defines a plurality of successive stages. Each stage includes at least one step, and one or more of the stages include a plurality of successive steps. The build configuration defines a build process that, when completed, alters a state of a storage device. The build system initiates a build process sequence on the build configuration. The build system, after initiating the build process sequence, receives notification of a desire to add a revision to a particular stage of the plurality of stages defined in the build configuration. A determination is made that performance of the particular stage has or has not begun. In response to the determination, a subsequent build process action is performed.
Assisting parallelization of a computer program
A parallelization assistant tool system to assist in parallelization of a computer program is disclosed. The system directs the execution of instrumented code of the computer program to collect performance statistics information relating to execution of loops within the computer program. The system provides a user interface for presenting to a programmer the performance statistics information collected for a loop within the computer program so that the programmer can prioritize efforts to parallelize the computer program. The system generates inlined source code of a loop by aggressively inlining functions substantially without regard to compilation performance, execution performance, or both. The system analyzes the inlined source code to determine the data-sharing attributes of the variables of the loop. The system may generate compiler directives to specify the data-sharing attributes of the variables.
CLOUD ASSISTED BEHAVIORAL AUTOMATED TESTING
A computer readable storage medium, system and method for improving automated testing systems to include a first and second behavioral data. The first behavioral data is collected periodically and the second behavioral data is collected in real time. The receipt of the first behavioral data and a second behavioral data are followed by the receipt of a system configuration template. A test case is updated based on the first and second behavioral data, and an automated test environment is reconfigured based on the first behavioral data, second behavioral data, and the system configuration template. The test executes in the automated test environment producing a test result.
Enterprise integration processing for mainframe COBOL programs
A method for facilitating a mainframe batch COBOL program to read from a cloud database is provided. The method includes receiving a first search predicate and a second search predicate from an extended language pre-compiler, the extended language pre-compiler parsing a user query written as a SQL query, building a cloud database format query based on the first search predicate and the second search predicate, transmitting the cloud database format query to the cloud database to extract data stored on the cloud database associated with the user query, and receiving the extracted data from the cloud database in a Java Script Object Notation (JSON) format.
AUTOMATIC RESOURCE MANAGEMENT FOR BUILD SYSTEMS
A method may include searching compiled code for a variable name of a resource, the variable name containing a predefined string; identifying a variable name in a resource manifest of the library that matches the variable name that contains the predefined string; based on the identifying, importing the resource to a location associated with the compiled code.
COMPUTER SPEED VIA METADATA-BASED BUSINESS RULE INTERPRETER
A method of increasing a speed of operation of a computer via a metadata-based business rule interpreter. The method includes receiving, at a processor, user input defining a business rule. The method also includes translating, by the processor, the user input into a domain-specific language entirely consisting of metadata objects, wherein a translated syntax is formed, the translated syntax being an abstract syntax tree structure consisting of only the metadata objects. The method also includes executing, by the processor, an abstract syntax tree interpreter and taking as input into the abstract syntax tree interpreter the translated syntax. A compiler operation to generate computer code for implementing the business rule is avoided. Executing the abstract syntax tree interpreter produces a result in a browser without using executable code to achieve the result.
Processor comprising a plurality of computation cores
A processor including computation groups, each computation group including computation cores, the processor being capable of simultaneously implementing a plurality of applications, each application being implemented by a computation core and possibly requiring a read-mode or write-mode access to an external memory connected to the processor. At least one core, called dedicated core, of at least one computation group is dedicated to management of the external memory, the management making it possible to temporally and spatially organize read-mode and write-mode accesses to the external memory of each application requiring a read or a write in the external memory implemented by the processor.
Systems and methods for automated renumbering, reformatting, and re-referencing of branching statements or go-to instruction line referencing within modified code using a dual-pass approach that includes operations using predicted new line numbers, error detection/correction, and alignment correction processing
Systems and methods for automated renumbering, reformatting, and re-referencing of branching statements or go-to instruction line referencing within modified code using a dual-pass approach that includes operations using predicted new line numbers, error detection/correction, and alignment correction processing.
Declarative configuration elements
Systems and methods for desired state configuration (DSC) are disclosed. DSC provides the ability to perform declarative configuration natively within a shell language and to use early-bound schematized data constructs embedded in a late-bound shell language. This allows declarative programming elements to be incorporated into imperative languages, such as scripts for configuration management. Script may combine the power of an imperative shell language with the ease of use of a declarative language and may use both imperative and declarative syntax in the same language.
SOFTWARE APPLICATION DEVELOPER TOOLS PLATFORM
A system for a computer application software developer has been developed. The system includes a local computer system with a computer readable electronic data storage media with a browser located on the local computer system. An application tools platform is stored on the browser that includes a computer software code compiler for use by the computer application software developer.
