Multi-chip processing system and method for adding routing path information into headers of packets

Packet routing within a multi-chip processing system is shown. A first chip has a first interconnect bus, and a first microprocessor coupled to the first interconnect bus. The first interconnect bus has a first routing register. When the first microprocessor operates the first chip as a source node to output a packet to be transferred to a destination node, routing information indicating a routing path from the source node to the destination node is written into the first routing register and then loaded from the first routing register to a header of the packet. While being transferred within the multi-chip processing system from the source node to the destination node, the packet is guided along the routing path indicated in the routing information carried in the header of the packet.

The disclosure relates to a controller area network, CAN, transceiver and a CAN controller. The CAN transceiver is configured to: compare a signal from the CAN bus with a negative threshold level; and provide a wake-up indication to the CAN controller based on the signal matching a predetermined pattern of one or more periods in which the signal is less than the negative threshold level. The CAN controller is configured to provide instructions to transmit a wake-up indication on the CAN bus.

Active queue management in a multi-node computing environment

Systems and methods for processing computing jobs of a managed network are disclosed. Each of one or more worker nodes may implement a scheduler thread and a pool of worker threads. Upon waking up from a sleep state, the scheduler thread may determine a current number of jobs in an in-memory job queue that are waiting for processing by a worker thread, and may compute a job-completion rate of jobs processed by threads of the pool. Based on the job-completion rate, the scheduler thread may perform one or more of retrieving more jobs from a centralized database job queue and adding them to the in-memory job queue; removing one or more jobs from the in-memory job queue and returning them to the database job queue; leaving the in-memory job queue unchanged; or adjusting the duration of the sleep-interval timer. The scheduler thread may then return to a sleep state.

A peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) interface device is provided to include: a root complex configured to support a PCIe port, a memory connected to an input/output structure through the root complex, a switch connected to the root complex through a link and configured to transmit a transaction, and an end point connected to the switch through the link to transmit and receive a packet. The PCIe interface device may perform a link power management by changing a state of the link in response to a detection of an idle state of the link.

MANAGING RUNTIME QUBIT ALLOCATION FOR EXECUTING QUANTUM SERVICES
20220383171 · 2022-12-01 ·

Managing runtime qubit allocation for executing quantum services is disclosed. In one example, a processor device of a quantum computing system implements a quantum backoff service (QBS) that enables safe runtime qubit allocation for executing quantum services. The QBS receives a request from a quantum service scheduler for allocation of one or more qubits for an executing quantum service. Upon receiving the request for allocation, the QBS determines whether the one or more qubits are unavailable for execution. If the QBS determines that the one or more qubits are unavailable for allocation, the QBS places the executing quantum service into a sleep state. The QBS in some examples may subsequently receive an indication that the one or more qubits have become available for allocation. The QBS then restores the executing quantum service into an executing state and allocates the one or more qubits for the executing quantum service.

IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
20220385780 · 2022-12-01 · ·

An image forming system includes at least one piece of image forming apparatus and a server. The at least one piece of image forming apparatus transmits a sleep notification when entering a sleep mode which is a power saving state, and transmits a wake-up notification when returning from the sleep mode to a non-power saving state. The server monitors the sleep notification and the wake-up notification. When a specific image forming apparatus of the at least one piece of image forming apparatus has been in the sleep mode for at least a certain period of time, the sever issues a power-off command to the specific image forming apparatus, so that the specific image forming apparatus shuts off automatically. Before issuing the power-off command, the server delivers a power-off notice to the user who has used the specific image forming apparatus.

Universal Serial Bus (USB) Redirection for USB Human Interface Device (HID) Class Devices

Techniques for implementing improved USB redirection of USB HID class devices are provided. In one set of embodiments a client system can receive, from a virtual desktop running on a server system, a poll message directed to an HID interface of a USB HID class device plugged into the client system and identify a polling thread associated with the HID interface. The client system can further save a copy of the poll message in the polling thread and initiate local polling of the HID interface, where the local polling comprises providing, via the polling thread, the copy of the poll message to the HID interface.

An information processing apparatus including a touch panel and a near field communication interface. The information processing apparatus detects that an input received at the touch panel corresponds to a predetermined input when the information processing apparatus is in a suspended state; and controls the information processing apparatus execute a predetermined function via the near field communication interface and awake from the suspended state upon detecting that the input corresponds to the predetermined input.

Low connection count interface wake source communication according to 10SPE local and remote wake and related systems, methods, and devices

Disclosed are systems, methods, and devices for communicating a source of a 10SPE wake. Such a communication may be performed over a low-pin count hardware interface of a 10SPE physical layer (PHY) module having a split arrangement. A controller side of a 10SPE PHY may perform a local or remote 10SPE wake forward in response to a communicated source of a wake. Also disclosed is a digital interface for operatively coupling a PHY controller to PHY transceiver over a low-pin count connection, where the digital interface includes circuitry for checking the integrity of circuitry of the digital interface.

Information handling system notification presentation based upon user presence detection

End user presence and absence states are determined at an information handling system by analyzing infrared time of flight sensor presence detection information and applying it to manage presentation of notifications at the information handling system, such as operating system notifications and hardware notifications. Notifications are queued when a predetermined user absence state is detected and presented when a predetermined user presence state is detected to that an end user has a greater probability of viewing notifications when the display presents visual images before sleeping for an end user absence and after waking from an end user presence.
