Content management systems for providing automated translation of content items

Systems, methods and products for automatic translation of content items, where in one embodiment a system includes one or more processors configured to identify components of a content item to be translated (translation items) and components not to be translated (non-translation items). The system generates a key-value pair corresponding to each translation item, where the key-value pair includes a key which comprises a unique identifier and a value which comprises a text string of the translation item. The system also generates a translation template that corresponds to the content item, wherein the translation template matches the content item except that the text string of each translation item is replaced by the key of the corresponding key-value pair. The system then provides a translation of each of the key-value pairs. The system generates a translated content item. By replacing each key in the translation template with the corresponding generated translation.

Cross Lingual Search using Multi-Language Ontology for Text Based Communication
20170357642 · 2017-12-14 · ·

A method for conducting a cross lingual searching utilizing an ontology reference process to ensure thoroughness. When a query is entered, an ontology database is accessed to identify all representations for the parent entity of interest within specified languages. These representations are used to form a search set that results in more thorough collection from the data sources. Thus, the disclosed method accommodates situations where languages do not follow the same construct (e.g. English compared to Chinese) and where direct translation does not adequately represent the intent of the user's inquiry.

AUTOMATICALLY INTEGRATING USER TRANSLATION FEEDBACK

A method includes: receiving, by a computing device, user input indicating an incorrect translation of a word appearing in an interface of an application; identifying, by the computing device, other instances of the word in other interfaces of the application, wherein the identifying is performed using a glossary relationship set that is based on association analysis, wherein the other instances of the word constitute less than all instances of the word appearing in all interfaces of the application; and generating, by the computing device, a new version of the application having a revised translation of the word in the interface and the other instances of the word in the other interfaces.

Systems and methods of localizing distributed software applications

In one embodiment, a method includes, responsive to a trigger, automatically discovering localization value sets that are maintained at a plurality of application servers which execute a particular software application such that each localization value set comprises language-specific key-value pairs for user-interface display items of the particular software application and such that the discovering yields an overall collection of localization value sets. The method further includes determining a localization value set of the overall collection that is not stored at the computer system. In addition, the method includes storing the determined localization value set at the computer system.

FONT DOWNLOAD ON APPLICATION BOOT
20170351533 · 2017-12-07 ·

When an application is booted, a font that will be used with the application is identified and it is determined whether the identified font it locally available to the device. If not, a request to a remote font service is automatically generated, and the identified font is downloaded based upon the detected application boot. The device then finishes booting the application.

GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE FOR LOCALIZING A COMPUTER PROGRAM USING CONTEXT DATA CAPTURED FROM THE COMPUTER PROGRAM
20170344538 · 2017-11-30 ·

Outputs from a graphical user interface of a target computer program are captured during actual use of the target computer program. The captured outputs are processed to recognize strings and associate those strings with content derived from the outputs. The recognized strings and associated content are stored as context data. A translation editing tool accesses the context data and message data of the target computer program. The translation editing tool presents the message data through a graphical user interface to a user. In response to selected text from the message data, the context data are accessed to retrieve content associated with a recognized string that matches the selected text. The retrieved content is presented in the graphical user interface of the translation editing tool to provide contextual information to inform how to translate a message. Text input from the translator can be stored in the message data.

An apparatus in which an application is operated on a virtual machine includes a setting unit configured to set a font corresponding to a set language of the virtual machine, a font cache generation unit configured to read a font file corresponding to the set font, and generate a font cache including a pointer pointing to a cache of the font file, a control unit configured to display a font used for the application on a display device, by using the font cache, and a change unit configured to change the font cache, when the set language of the virtual machine is changed.

Automatic installation of selected updates in multiple environments

An update installer generates an update display for a user that allows the user to select updates be applied to a first environment. An export display allows the user to export the selected updates so they can be saved for installation in another environment.

INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF GENERATING SCREEN
20170331969 · 2017-11-16 · ·

An information processing system includes an information processing apparatus that provides an electronic apparatus with a service by way of a web application. The system includes a memory and circuit. The memory is configured to store information relating to a setting item of the web application, and store a setting value to be set to the setting item. The circuitry is configured to generate a setting screen based on the information relating to the setting item and the setting value, and update the setting value stored in the memory based on an instruction for configuring settings relating to an operation screen of the web application that is displayed at the electronic apparatus, the instruction being accepted through the setting screen being displayed to the terminal apparatus.

A computer identifies, within a portion of code, a code element associated with a label. The computer identifies an x-path corresponding to a value associated with the label. The computer transmits a request to translate the value. The computer receives a translated version of the value associated with the label. The computer utilizes the identified x-path to locate the value associated with the label within the portion of code. The computer updates the portion of code by replacing the value associated with the label with the translated version of the value.
