20220351278 · 2022-11-03 ·

A computer system configured to integrate a plurality of websites is provided. The computer system includes a memory, a display, and at least one processor coupled to the memory and the display. In one example, the system comprises a monitoring component executed by the at least one processor and configured to analyze web content generated by a website provider and detect one or more identified elements within the web content. The system may also comprise a converting component executed by the at least one processor and configured to, responsive to detection of the one or more identified elements by the monitoring component, convert at least one portion of the web content into converted content, wherein the at least one processor is configured to display, in the display, the converted content and at least one other portion of the web content.

INFORMATION DISPLAY METHOD AND DEVICE

A method for information display is provided. The method includes receiving a preset operation, the preset operation being configured to instruct a terminal to display a preset desktop page; acquiring a parameter of an environment in which the terminal is located; predicting a service to be called by a user according to the parameter; and displaying information of the service in the preset desktop page.

Translatable texts identification in in-context localization utilizing pseudo-language and an external server
09804862 · 2017-10-31 · ·

Software-as-a-service system and methods for assisting translators by utilizing in-context localization with a localization editor that permits the translator to easily view how their translations appear on the application interface without having to navigate between different screens (e.g. between the translation input interface, and the screen that displays how it will appear to the viewer). Pseudo-language that comprises extra language with special identifiers is added to a localizable application in place of the original text. The pseudo-language is identified in the runtime, after which it is mapped and replaced with the original text or their translations. An external server is used to generate the pseudo-language based on source texts, and to do the matching by communicating with the application being translated while it is being run with the activated pseudo-language. The translated software comprises a web-based application, content websites and non-web related software, such as mobile applications, desktop software.

TECHNIQUES FOR PROACTIVELY PROVIDING TRANSLATED TEXT TO A TRAVELING USER
20170300476 · 2017-10-19 · ·

Computer-implemented techniques can include obtaining future travel plans for a user in a region that utilizes a language that is foreign to the user and predicting, based on the future travel plans, an expected future offline period during which the user is unlikely to have access to a network connection via a client computing device. The techniques can include identifying one or more points of interest in future the travel plans in the expected future offline period where the user is likely to require translation of foreign language text and obtaining portions of foreign language text associated therewith. The techniques can also include, prior to the expected future offline period, obtaining translated portions of text representing translations of the portions of foreign language text to a preferred language of the user and transmitting, to the client computing device, the translated portions of text.

Automatic identification of machine translation review candidates

A portion of a software product is analyzed to determine a language and a subject-matter domain of the portion. A string is extracted from the portion, where the string has been translated into the language from an original string in an original language in a version of the software product. A corpus including a set of stored strings in the first language is selected. A subset of stored strings is selected from a content that is related to the subject-matter domain of the software product. When the string matches a stored string in the corpus, the string is selected into a shortlist and when a second string extracted from the portion fails to match any stored string in the corpus, the second string is excluded from the shortlist. The shortlist is output, causing a review of an accuracy of a machine translation process to be performed.

VIRTUAL SERVICE LOCALIZATION
20170286272 · 2017-10-05 ·

A virtual service is instantiated from a service model that is operable to receive requests intended for a particular software component in a system and generate simulated responses of the particular software component based on a service model modeling responses of the particular software component. A particular request intended for the particular software component is identified that has been redirected to the virtual service and content of a simulated response to the particular request is generated using the virtual service in a first language. A second language to be applied to the simulated response is determined based on the request, and a translation of the content from the first language into the second language is determined. A modified version of the simulated response is sent to the other software component in response to the particular request that includes the content in the second language.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INTELLIGENT RENAMING OR AUGMENTED NAMING BASED ON COMMON USE

Method, system, and apparatus for dynamically modifying menu selection descriptions to include common use descriptions. A search query is generated that includes the menu selection description. The search query is transmitted to a remote computer system, such as a computer hosting a public search engine or a community forum. The remote computer system executes the search query and returns results. The results are parsed to identify one or more alternative menu selection descriptions that are commonly used. The menu selection description is modified to include the alternative menu selection description. When a user selects the menu for display, the modified menu selection description is displayed.

PROACTIVE INPUT METHOD ENGINE MANAGEMENT FOR EDGE SERVICES BASED ON CROWDSOURCING DATA
20170288958 · 2017-10-05 ·

A method for preemptively deploying input method engines (IMEs) within a data communication network to computing devices in proximate relation to users includes: receiving software logic data indicating rules for deploying IMEs to a first computing device; receiving a software data structure identifying configuration preferences of a user, the configuration preferences associate the user with a configuration of one or more IMEs; identifying, based on the configuration preferences, a first IME deployed to execute on the first computing device, where the first IME was deployed to execute on the first computing device in response to the user's access to the first IME through the first computing device satisfying at least one of the rules; determining, based on the configuration preferences, that the user will access the first IME through a second computing device in the future and deploying the first IME to second computing device before the future access.

Dynamically building subsections of locale objects at run-time

Subsections of locale objects are dynamically built from locale source files when requested at run-time without building all subsections of the locale object. When a subsection of a locale object is dynamically built, the subsection is stored in global memory so it may be read by multiple applications. Dynamically building subsections of locale objects when requested allows software to operate with a relatively small number of locale objects.

Mobile terminal and method of controlling the same terminal

Provided is a mobile terminal including: a display unit on which screen information is output; a translation function unit that translates a translation-source information portion of the screen information that is output to the display unit; and a controller that outputs translation-target information into which the translation-source information portion is translated using the translation function unit, on a translation window, in which in a state where the screen information is output on the display unit, the translation window is positioned in one region of the display unit.
