MAC ADDRESS SENDING METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM, AND RELATED DEVICE
A media access control (MAC) address sending method, apparatus, and system, and a related device are provided. The method is implemented by a first network device connected to a first virtual machine and a second virtual machine. The first network device obtains a MAC address of the first virtual machine; and when the first virtual machine and the second virtual machine have a same MAC address and are located in different virtual local area networks, sends a route to a second network device, where the route includes route information, and the route information includes the MAC address, first virtual local area network information of the first virtual machine, and second virtual local area network information of the second virtual machine. In this method, information about virtual machines having a same MAC address in different virtual local area networks is aggregated to one route.

An example method of managing exclusive affinity for threads executing in a virtualized computing system includes: determining, by an exclusive affinity monitor executing in a hypervisor of the virtualized computing system, a set of threads eligible for exclusive affinity; determining, by the exclusive affinity monitor, for each thread in the set of threads, impact on performance of the threads for granting each thread exclusive affinity; and granting, for each thread of the set of threads having an impact on performance of the threads less than a threshold, exclusive affinity to respective physical central processing units (PCPUs) of the virtualized computing system.
System and methods for improved adoption of cloud container profiles
System and methods providing for categorizing individual virtual machines, as well as the associated application that they form by working in concert, into groups based on the feasibility of hosting the processes that occur on a virtual machine within a container, as well as the relative difficulty of doing so on a virtual machine and application level. The data used to create these scores is collected from the individual machines, at regular intervals through the use of an automated scoring engine that collects and aggregates the data. Said data is then analyzed by the system, that with the aid of passed in configuration data, is configured to generate the scores to allows for an educated and focused effort to migrate from hosting applications on virtual machines to hosting applications on containers.
Unified way to track user configuration on a live system
A method of remediating configurations of a plurality of system services running in each of a plurality of hosts, wherein each of the hosts is configured with a virtualization software for supporting execution of virtual machines therein, includes the steps of: retrieving actual configurations of the system services, wherein the actual configurations are stored in accordance with a configuration schema of the system services and include a user configuration, which is a configuration initiated by the user, and a system configuration, which is a configuration initiated by the host in response to the user configuration; retrieving desired configurations of the system services from a desired configuration file; comparing each of the actual configurations with a corresponding one of the desired configurations; and upon determining that at least one actual configuration, which is not a system configuration, is different from a corresponding one of the desired configurations, replacing the at least one actual configuration with the corresponding desired configuration.

A system and method for visualizing multiple datasets in a virtual 3-dimensional interactive environment. Multiple datasets may be related and virtually cast as 3-dimensional type structures. User interfaces, such as game controllers or headsets, may be used to present the dataset from differing perspectives including the appearance of moving through the data. Certain embodiments provide for mirror image views that allow for presentation of higher order datasets. Other embodiments provide for animation or motion indicia to show how the data is changing and the results on the display. The datasets may represent physical areas or virtual areas as well as demographic, sensors and financial information.

The update facility (104) is provided for updating one or each at least one virtual computer template (44). The resume facility (102) is provided for resuming virtual computers from the pool (40) of suspended virtual computers (42) provided by the pool facility (38). The customization facility (104) is provided for customizing virtual computers after being resumed from the pool (40) to provide active virtual computers.

In a method for super resolution imaging, the method includes: receiving, by a processor, a low resolution image; generating, by the processor, an intermediate high resolution image having an improved resolution compared to the low resolution image; generating, by the processor, a final high resolution image based on the intermediate high resolution image and the low resolution image; and transmitting, by the processor, the final high resolution image to a display device for display thereby.
Method and system for cross-platform deployment
A method and system which provides a solution of cross-platform application deployment, which is based on a Topology and Orchestration Specific for Cloud Applications (TOSCA) template and is compatible with application deployment on other platforms. This solution supports cross-platform application deployment on both a TOSCA platform and a non-TOSCA platform. By adding information about a target platform and application deployment information required for application deployment on the target platform to a deployment template, an upper server performs parsing and sends the application deployment information to the target platform, thereby implementing cross-platform application deployment on the TOSCA platform and the non-TOSCA platform by using one universal template.
