In one embodiment, a wakeup alarm is programmed according to a user history profile regarding received e-mails. In a further embodiment, data synchronizing involves disabling a display, and throttling the system processor to operate at a reduced frequency. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Machine-learning training service for synthetic data

Various embodiments, methods and systems for implementing a distributed computing system machine-learning training service are provided. Initially a machine learning model is accessed. A plurality of synthetic data assets are accessed, where a synthetic data asset is associated with asset-variation parameters that are programmable for machine-learning. The machine learning model is retrained using the plurality of synthetic data assets. The machine-learning training service is further configured for executing real-time calls to generate an on-the-fly-generated synthetic data asset such that the on-the-fly-generated synthetic data asset is rendered in real-time to preclude pre-rendering and storing the on-the-fly-generated synthetic data asset. The machine-learning training service further supports hybrid-based machine learning training, where the machine learning model is trained based on a combination of the plurality of synthetic data assets, a plurality of non-synthetic data assets, and synthetic data asset metadata associated with the plurality of synthetic data assets.

Automation system and method

A computer-implemented method, computer program product and computing system for receiving a complex task; processing the complex task to define a plurality of discrete tasks each having a discrete goal; executing the plurality of discrete tasks on a plurality of machine-accessible public computing platforms; determining if any of the plurality of discrete tasks failed to achieve its discrete goal; and if a specific discrete task failed to achieve its discrete goal, defining a substitute discrete task having a substitute discrete goal.

Write ordering in SSDs

Disclosed are systems and methods by which a storage device may process and return I/O commands to a host in the order in which the host provided the commands, thereby reducing host overhead, including but not limited to the following: receiving a first I/O command and a second I/O command, the first I/O command and the second I/O command being assigned a sequence tag, issuing the first I/O command and the second I/O command to one or more storage channels based on their respective sequence tags, collecting a command completion notice of the first I/O command or the second I/O command when the first I/O command or the second I/O command has been respectively completed; and issuing a command completion notification to a host based on the sequence tag of the associated completed first I/O command or the second I/O command.

A secure access control system configured to control access to sensitive data stored on disparate systems is disclosed. A first entity is designated to control access to second entity data. An authentication token, generated using a key derivation function, is used to authenticate the first entity. The authenticated first entity is granted access to second entity data. An access control interface is generated configured to selectively grant or withdraw access to second entity data. The access control interface identifies entities associated with respective access controls. The access control interface is instantiated on a first entity device. Activation indications of access controls is received over a network. Access to second entity data is accordingly granted or withdrawn. Access control transition event rules and/or access control transition time rules are retrieved. Using monitored events and the access control transition event rules, and/or a monitored current time and the access control transition time rules, a determination is made as to transition access control of the second entity data first entity to the second entity.

A blockchain-based interaction method and system for an edge computing service: using, as a bearing entity of an MECaaS, a device that has an environment for an operating system and that is of a user; registering a computing power device of the user as an edge node by using the MECaaS; uploading or updating registration information of the edge node to a blockchain layer; issuing, by a requesting device as a data producer, a computing task to the MECaaS; invoking, by the MECaaS, the smart contract deployed on the blockchain layer; standardizing a data format of the computing task; matching a target edge node for the requesting device; establishing an M2M communication between the requesting device and the target edge node, so that the requesting device can transmit raw data to the target edge node, and the target edge node can feed back a computing result to the requesting device.

ADAPTIVE IDLE DETECTION IN A SOFTWARE-DEFINED DATA CENTER IN A HYPER-CONVERGED INFRASTRUCTURE

An adaptive idle detection method determines whether software defined data centers (SDDCs) in a hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) environment are idle. Idleness may be quantified via a coefficient of variation (CV) against resource usage, so as to adapt the idle detection method to SDDCs with different hardware specifications and workloads. Management overhead may also be filtered out by the idle detection method, and the idle detection method may use idleness scores to further reduce overhead.

An information processing system includes: a first receiving unit that receives, from a first user, an instruction to distribute content that the first user owns to a second user; a distribution unit that distributes the content to the second user based on the instruction; a storage unit that stores information that the content is distributed by the distribution unit; a second receiving unit that receives, from a third user, a request to use content that the third user owns; and an execution unit that executes processing in accordance with the request in a case where the content identified by the request is determined as content that has been distributed by the distribution unit, based on the information stored in the storage unit.

Technologies for time-delayed augmented reality presentations

Technologies for time-delayed augmented reality (AR) presentations includes determining a location of a plurality of user AR systems located within the presentation site and determining a time delay of an AR sensory stimulus event of an AR presentation to be presented in the presentation site for each user AR system based on the location of the corresponding user AR system within the presentation site. The AR sensory stimulus event is presented to each user AR system based on the determined time delay associated with the corresponding user AR system. Each user AR system generates the AR sensory stimulus event based on a timing parameter that defines the time delay for the corresponding user AR system such that the generation of the AR sensory stimulus event is time-delayed based on the location of the user AR system within the presentation site.
