Processing method for control messages and security module to carry out said method

The present invention concerns a method for processing messages intended to allow the access to conditional access content and to a security module arranged for implementing this method. The method comprises the steps of receiving by a security module comprising at least one decryption module, a plurality of messages, these messages belonging to at least two different categories; assigning a different priority level to messages from each different category, one of said priority level being defined as high and another priority level, lower that the high priority level, being defined as the standard priority level; associating a value to the messages to which the standard priority level has been assigned; assigning at least one threshold value for the value associated with messages having a standard priority level; and comparing between the threshold value for a determined message and the value associated with said message. If no value associated with said message having standard priority level exceeds the corresponding threshold value, processing the messages according to their priority level, a message to which the high priority level has been assigned being processed before a message to which a lower priority level has been assigned, and change of the value associated with the messages having a standard priority level according to said predefined rule. If the value associated with one of said messages having a standard priority level exceeds the threshold value for the corresponding message, processing one of the messages having a standard priority level before processing a message having a higher priority level, and change of the value associated with the messages having a standard priority level according to said predefined rule.

A cloud computer system is provided that includes a plurality of computer devices and a database. The plurality of computer devices execute a plurality of virtual machines, with one of the virtual machines serving as a controller node and the remainder serving as worker instances. The controller node is programmed to accept a request to initiate a distributed process that includes a plurality of data jobs, determine a number of worker instances to create across the plurality of computer devices, and cause the number of worker instances to be created on the plurality of computer devices. The worker instances are programmed to create a unique message queue for the corresponding worker instance, and store a reference for the unique message queue that was created for the corresponding worker to the database. The controller node retrieves the reference to the unique message queues and posts jobs to the message queues for execution by the worker instances.

Memory access communications through message passing interface implemented in memory systems

A memory system having a plurality of memory components and a controller, operatively coupled to the plurality of memory components to: store data in the memory components; communicate with a host system via a bus; service the data to the host system via communications over the bus; communicate with a processing device that is separate from the host system using a message passing interface over the bus; and provide data access to the processing device through communications made using the message passing interface over the bus.

Examples described herein include systems and methods for brokerless reliable totally ordered many-to-many inter-process communication on a single node. A messaging protocol is provided that utilizes shared memory for one of the control plane and data plane, and multicast for the other plane. Readers and writers can store either control messages or message data in the shared memory, including in a ring buffer. Write access to portions of the shared memory can be controlled by a robust futex, which includes a locking mechanism that is crash recoverable. In general, the writers and readers can control the pace of communications and the crash of any process does not crash the overall messaging on the node.

A control method for causing a computer to execute a process that includes transmitting update difference data generated in response to an update of data related to a service provided by a data user to a first message queue, and receiving an initialization request signal for the data related to the service from an apparatus of the data user, and transmitting the data related to the service at a time point of responding to the initialization request signal to a second message queue different from the first message queue.

Methods and systems for adaptive memory-resource management

Described are self-learning systems and methods for adaptive management of memory resources within a memory hierarchy. Memory allocations associated with different active functions are organized into blocks for placement in alternative levels in a memory hierarchy optimized for different metrics of e.g. cost and performance. A host processor monitors a performance metric of the active functions, such as the number of instructions per clock cycle, and reorganizes the function-specific blocks among the levels of the hierarchy. Over time, this process tends toward block organizations that improve the performance metric.

Methods, devices and systems for determining a target path

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, embodiments and a method. The method includes iteratively providing messages to each Node Processor. Each Node Processor represents a node of a group of nodes. The iteratively providing of the messages comprises providing first messages. Each first message includes a cost associated with a path of nodes visited by each first message. A selected path is obtained from each node having a lowest cost of a group of common endpoint costs for paths having common endpoints. A next group of messages includes the selected path. The iteratively providing of the messages results in selected paths. Also, the method include determining a target path from a remaining path. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Method and system for traversing an object graph using traversal context objects

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for enumerating relationships in an object graph using traversal context objects that are decoupled from the implementation details of an object graph and the objects stored therein. An example method generally includes receiving a request to traverse an object graph, the object graph including a plurality of objects. A root context object is generated, and a traversal context object associated with a root node of the object graph is generated. The traversal context object is linked to the root context object and added to a traversal data structure. The graph is traversed by adding and removing traversal context objects to and from the traversal data structure until a terminating event occurs.
