Assessing and improving quality of event logs including prioritizing and classifying errors into error-perspective and error-type classifications

Systems and methods receive manually created event logs that include manually entered data of executed processes, and such systems and methods automatically identify errors in the event logs (based on whether the data violates expected log content). The systems and methods classify the errors, prioritize the event logs into a priority order (based on a previously established error priority ranking), and output the event logs classified into different classifications (and in priority order). The systems and methods receive feedback in order to alter the priority order and the different classifications of the event logs. Further, these systems and methods automatically generate recommendations to correct the errors, using different recommendation processes based on the classifications of the errors. The event logs are output in the different classifications and in the priority order, and the locations of the errors within the event logs are identified by the systems and methods herein.

The present embodiment relates to a method and a system for data transmission and reception of a display device and, more specifically, to a method and a system for repeatedly checking whether an error has occurred in a data driving device configuration for high-speed communication when driving the display device to prevent the image quality degradation due to the configuration error.

Error re-logging in electronic systems

A disclosed circuit arrangement includes a bus interface circuit and a configuration storage circuit coupled to the bus interface circuit. The bus interface circuit stores first error data in the configuration storage circuit in response to detection of an error condition. A second storage circuit provides storage of data, and an error re-logging circuit is coupled to the configuration storage circuit and to the second storage circuit. The error re-logging circuit polls the configuration storage circuit for the first error data signaling detection of an error, and in response to the first error data signaling detection of an error, stores the first error data in the second storage circuit, and clears the first error data from the configuration storage circuit to remove the signaling of the detection of the error.

Tracking and factoring application near misses/timeouts into path selection and multipathing status

Various embodiments for management of multipath Input/Output (I/O) in a computing system by a processor device. Upon surpassing a threshold for at least one predetermined criterion associated with near timeouts/near misses in the multipath I/O, a system notification is provided that is usable by the processor device to perform a multipath layer path selection aimed at reducing near timeouts/near misses in the multipath I/O.

Early diagnosis of hardware, software or configuration problems in data warehouse system utilizing grouping of queries based on query parameters

A method, system and computer program product for providing early diagnosis of hardware, software or configuration problems in a data warehouse system. A received query is parsed to determine the properties of the query. The query may then be joined to existing groups of queries if those groups have shared properties of the query. After executing the query according to an execution plan, results from the execution of the query is received, which may include problem(s) that occurred during execution of the query. For those problems that reach a pre-defined threshold of becoming a “group problem” in those groups joined by the query, the problem is reported to the end user concerning those groups where the problem exceeds the pre-defined threshold. In this manner, an early diagnosis of the problems in the data warehouse system that can cause delay and failure of the processing of queries is able to occur.

SERIAL INTERFACE WITH IMPROVED DIAGNOSTIC COVERAGE

A serial interface, such as a serial peripheral interface (SPI), with improved diagnostic coverage is disclosed. The serial interface includes a data verification module that selects an error detection value in response to a mode signal indicating if the transmitting device is in user mode or test mode. For example, the data verification module computes a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) value and selects either the computed CRC value or its inverse based on the mode. The receiving device can determine the mode of the transmitting device based on the error detection value used. The serial interface further includes a read detector for clearing the transmit data buffer after data is read out. The serial interface may further include a loopback circuit for verifying that the data output from an output pin matches the data from the transmit data buffer.

The bus monitoring method may include: arranging monitoring nodes in a bus, with each monitoring node arranged in one of subsystems to be tested of the bus, where the monitoring nodes are connected in series in a ring topology (202); acquiring a test vector and sending a test message according to the test vector to one of the monitoring nodes to transmit the test message across the monitoring nodes, the test vector being configured to instruct each monitoring node to execute the test message and acquire test information of the respective subsystem to be tested, where the test information is configured to indicate information of the bus of the respective subsystem to be tested when the monitoring node executes the test message (204).

Reduced system memory latency via a variable latency interface

A memory controller receives, via a first interface, a first read request requesting a requested data granule. Based on receipt of the first read request, the memory controller transmits, via a second interface, a second read request to initiate access of the requested data granule from a system memory. Based on a determination to schedule accelerated data delivery and receipt by the memory controller of a data scheduling indication that indicates a timing of future delivery of the requested data granule, the memory controller requests, prior to receipt of the requested data granule, permission to transmit the requested data granule on the system interconnect fabric. Based on receipt of the requested data granule at the indicated timing and a grant of the permission to transmit, the memory controller initiates transmission of the requested data granule on the system interconnect fabric and transmits an error indication for the requested data granule.
