Ramp assembly with raised ramp position
A ramp assembly to accommodate a wheel-chaired passenger to enter or exit a motorized vehicle includes a frame, a ramp movable relative to the frame, a drive block configured to move the ramp relative to the frame, a linkage arm having a first end pivotably coupled to the drive block, a linkage panel pivotably coupled to the linkage arm and a rear end of the ramp, and an upper roller pivotably coupled to the linkage panel for rotation about a pivot axis of the linkage panel to facilitate rotation of the ramp relative to the frame.
WHEEL CHAIR FOR CONTACTLESS BOARDING INTO A VEHICLE
A wheelchair for onboarding a wheel chair person into a vehicle including a wheelchair and a king pin adapted to the wheelchair. The kingpin may be configured for positioning within an opening of a fifth wheel adapted to a vehicle configured for moving the wheelchair into a vehicle. Alternatively, a fifth wheel may be adapted to the wheelchair and a king pin to the vehicle. A system for onboarding a wheel chair person may include a wheelchair, a carriage, a fifth wheel, a king pin, a ramp latch mechanism, a fifth wheel latch mechanism, a processor, memory, and a switching mechanism. Instructions executable by the processor may: select ramp latch mechanism, determine ramp status, and active up/down the ramp; select fifth wheel latch mechanism, determine fifth wheel status, and on/off the fifth wheel. Other features include camera, dash panel control, no-contact panels, connection with external utility, and other features.
CONTROL DEVICE OF VEHICLE, VEHICLE, AND METHOD OF ACTIVATING DOOR TO OPEN AND CLOSE AND SLOPE PLATE TO DEPLOY
A control device of a vehicle is installed in a vehicle including: a body having a vehicle cabin and a floor panel constituting a floor of the vehicle cabin; a door opening-closing mechanism that drives a door mounted on the body to open and close; and a slope deploying mechanism that deploys a slope plate housed under the floor panel to the outside of the body. The control device coordinates the operation of the door opening-closing mechanism and the slope deploying mechanism. The control device opens the door by the door opening-closing mechanism after deploying the slope plate toward the outside of the body by the slope deploying mechanism.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING STATUS OF PERSONS IN A VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for monitoring the status of a person in the vicinity of a vehicle, including capturing an image of an area in the vehicle or in the vicinity of the vehicle, analysing the captured image, detecting if the captured image contains a person, determining at a first time a characteristic associated with the person in the captured image, comparing the characteristic with a predefined threshold value; and in response to the determined parameter surpassing the predefined threshold value, actuating a change of state of the vehicle. The characteristic may comprise temperature.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING PERSONNEL HARNESSING AND POSITION PROTOCOL ADHERENCE
The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for determining patient safety, including capturing an image of an area and determining if a person on the patient transport apparatus is correctly harnessed according to a predefined protocol and/or correctly positioned according to a predefined protocol.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SANITARY CONTROL IN A VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for sanitary control in a vehicle, including capturing an image of an area in the vehicle or in the vicinity of the vehicle, analysing the captured image, and determining if one or more predefined sanitary protocols are satisfied in the vehicle or in the vicinity of the vehicle.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTOLLING ACCESS TO A VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for controlling access to a vehicle, including using the detection of a personnel transport apparatus to actuate vehicle doors to unlock and determining a suitable means of access to the vehicle based on a determined type of patient transport apparatus. The determined suitable means may include a ramp, a lift or manual access depending on the type of patient transport apparatus.
Vehicular slope apparatus
A vehicular slope apparatus includes: a slope plate deploying to a lower end of a door opening portion; a guide rail extending in a deploying and storing direction of the slope plate; a drive shoe moving in an extending direction of the guide rail; a link member having a first connection point rotatably connected to a rear end portion of the slope plate and a second connection point rotatably connected to the drive shoe; a posture holding mechanism configured such that the slope plate moves in the extending direction of the guide rail in conjunction with the drive shoe; and a lift mechanism configured to form a rotation fulcrum of the link member between the first and second connection points and to rotate the link member by changing an interval between the rotation fulcrum and the second connection point to thereby lift the rear end portion of the slope plate.
INTERFACING WHEELCHAIRS WITH OTHER APPARATUSES
Devices described in this disclosure can be used to assist persons with limited mobility to transfer themselves from a wheelchair to another apparatus, and back again. For example, this document describes devices that persons with limited use of their legs can use to transfer themselves between a wheelchair and another apparatus, such as a handcycle, that has a seat at a lower elevation than the seat of the wheelchair.
VEHICLE WHEELCHAIR LOADING SYSTEM
A system includes a computer having a processor and a memory, and the memory storing instructions executable by the processor to cause the processor to determine that a wheelchair is located within a threshold distance of a vehicle; actuate a puddle lamp to project a light projection proximate to a door of the vehicle; determine whether the wheelchair is aligned with respect to the light projection based on an image captured by a camera, wherein the image includes image data comprising a position of the wheelchair relative to the light projection; and actuate the door of the vehicle to open in response to determining that a wheelchair user is located at a designated location relative to the vehicle.
