Network device and method of specifying supervised data to be transmitted to system in accordance with calculation logic used for calculating previous timings of data stored in a sensor data database
A device specifies status data that should be uploaded to a management system using condition data and calculation logic, and uploads only status data that should be uploaded.
Systems and methods for automatic replacement and repair of communications network devices
Systems and methods for automatic repair, replacement, and/or configuration of various network devices within a communications network are disclosed. The system may receive indication of a failed network device and automatically perform diagnostic on the network device to determine any problems associated with the hardware and/or software components within the network device. Subsequently one or more repair, replacement, and/or configuration procedures may be automatically initiated in an attempt to resolve the problems and restore the failed network device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MICRO-BATCH PROCESSING OF DATA
This disclosure relates to micro-batch processing of data. Micro-batch processing of data may be accomplished by receiving data conveying information pertaining to operation of client computing platforms. For a general time duration, the data may be added to a general queue. The data in the general queue may be processed in memory in accordance with a general job. For one or more specific time durations, the data may be added to one or more specific queues based on the client computing platform to which the data pertains. The data in the one or more specific queues may be processed in memory in accordance with one or more specific jobs. One or more errors in processing the data may be detected. The data corresponding to the detected error may be added to a skip queue.
Management apparatus, method and program
A disclosed management apparatus monitors hardware faults in an information processing apparatus. And the management apparatus includes a first processing unit that determines whether a first notification representing that a fault occurred includes identification information of hardware in which the fault occurred, upon receiving the first notification from the information processing apparatus; a second processing unit that transmits an execution request to execute a module for obtaining the identification information of the hardware to the information processing apparatus, upon determining that the first notification does not include the identification information of the hardware; and a third processing unit that transmits a stop request to stop executing the module to the information processing apparatus, upon receiving the identification information of the hardware from the information processing apparatus.
Spectral diagnostic engine for customer support call center
A collective matrix is constructed, having a diagnostic sessions dimension and a diagnostic state descriptors dimension. The diagnostic state descriptors dimension includes a plurality of symptom fields, a plurality of root cause fields, and a plurality of solution fields. Collective matrix factorization of the collective matrix is performed to generate a factored collective matrix comprising a sessions factor matrix embedding diagnostic sessions and a descriptors factor matrix embedding diagnostic state descriptors. An in-progress diagnostic session is embedded in the factored collective matrix. A symptom or solution is recommended for evaluation in the in-progress diagnostic session based on the embedding. The diagnostic state descriptors dimension may further include at least one information field storing a representation (for example, a bag-of-words representation) of a semantic description of a problem being diagnosed by the in-progress diagnostic session.
REDUCING SIZE OF DIAGNOSTIC DATA DOWNLOADS
Aspects are related to reducing size of diagnostic data downloads. To reduce the size, format and content are read from a diagnostic data file so that pre-defined priority rules may be applied to the diagnostic data file and/or a subset of the diagnostic data file utilizing the format or the content. Then, a priority level is assigned to the diagnostic data file or the subset based on an ability of that file or that subset to diagnose a failure as determined by the pre-defined priority rules. Next, an ordering of the diagnostic data file and/or the subset into a file stream occurs, followed by a streaming of the file stream to a remote diagnostic system. A notification can be received from the remote diagnostic system to stop the streaming if sufficient diagnostic data to diagnose the failure has been received by the remote diagnostic system.
CONFIGURING AND UTILIZING CALL-HOME SYSTEMS
Call-home systems are configured and utilized. A log file is presented on a user interface of a computing device. One or more interactions that are associated with one or more instructions to modify the log file are detected on the user interface. One or more modifications to the log file are applied to the log file based on the one or more interactions. The one or more modifications include at least one of a modification that omits information from the log file, a modification that redacts information in the log file, and a modification that obfuscates information in the log file. The modified version of the log file is transferred to a call-home server based on one or more data transfer options.
LOG RETRIEVAL SUPPORT DEVICE AND LOG RETRIEVAL SUPPORT METHOD
A log retrieval support device 30 specifies a rare series that is an abnormal event group in a log recording a plurality of events executed in a predetermined system, generates a condition for regarding that there is a log having the same event group as each of the rare series, and specifies the number or ratio of logs having the same event group as each of the rare series among a plurality of logs recording a plurality of events executed in the predetermined system on the basis of the conditions. The log retrieval support device generates a new condition obtained by partially relaxing the condition in the case where the number or ratio is less than a predetermined value and generates a new condition obtained by partially limiting the condition in the case where the number or ratio is the predetermined value or more.
DIAGNOSTIC TEST PRIORITIZATION BASED ON ACCUMULATED DIAGNOSTIC REPORTS
According to an aspect, there is provided a method for guiding a user in diagnostic test selection. Initially, one or more diagnostic reports on each of a plurality of computing devices are maintained (201) in a diagnostic report database (103). In response to receiving (204) a first set of one or more device parameters characterizing a second computing device (124) from a first computing device (121), a remote computing system (101) compares (204) the first set to a plurality of sets of device parameters maintained in the diagnostic report database (103) to find one or more relevant diagnostic reports. The remote computing system (101) predicts (205) results of one or more diagnostic tests when performed on the second computing device (124) based on results of one or more diagnostic tests in the one or more relevant diagnostic reports by using statistical analysis. The remote computing system (101) sends (206) results of the predicting to the first computing device (121).
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING ERRORS IN LOCAL AREA NETWORK
Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing error detection in a network, and, more particularly, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for implementing error and/or fault detection in a network and/or media stream and providing options to address the error and/or fault in the network and/or media stream. In various embodiments, a computer might detect an error in a first network and send a notification indicating that the error has occurred. The notification might contain one or more options to address the error in the first network. The computer, a user device, a service provider device, or a content provider device might receive and display the notification containing the one or more options. The computer, the user device, the service provider device, or the content provider device might then select at least one of the one or more options to address the error in the first network.
