Vehicle lift for mobility device
A vehicle lift includes a lift base, a movable lift tower, and a movable platform. A first rail is configured to move the lift tower horizontally, and includes a outer extruded rails secured to the lift base, central extruded rails movable with respect to the outer extruded rails, and inner extruded rails movable with respect to the central extruded rails and fixed to the lift tower. A second rail assembly is fixed to the lift tower and may move the platform vertically with respect to the lift tower, and includes a outer extruded rails secured to the lift tower, central extruded rails movable with respect to the outer extruded rails, and inner extruded rails movable with respect to the central extruded rails and fixed to the lift tower.
MOBILITY DEVICE RESTRAINING APPARATUS
A restraint apparatus for securing a mobility device in a vehicle includes a base configured to being mounted to a floor of the vehicle, a support coupled to the base and extending upward therefrom, and a backing plate adjustably coupled to the support. The backing plate defines a channel to provide vertical adjustment of the backing plate with respect to the support. An upper support is pivotally coupled to the backing plate, and a claw assembly is coupled to the upper support. The claw assembly includes a claw member and a latching member, where the latching member is pivotally coupled to the claw member to enable pivotal movement between an unlatched position and a latched position. A control system operably controls the pivotal movement of the latching member between its latched position to its unlatched positions. In the unlatched position, the claw assembly provides an opening for receiving the device.
LIFTING SYSTEM AND VEHICLE INCLUDING A LIFTING SYSTEM
A lifting system includes a top plate, a bottom plate and N pairs of hinged plates. The N pairs of hinged plates are connected by 2N pairs of hinges to N sides of the top plate and the bottom plate, where N is an integer greater than 2. A bladder is arranged between the top plate and the bottom plate and between inner edges of the N pairs of hinged plates.
Patient Support Apparatus With Powered Unloading Dynamic Weigh Adjustment
A system for loading a patient transport apparatus into a vehicle is described. The system includes a loading and unloading system including a track and a trolley supporting a receiver movable between locked and unlocked configurations. The system also includes a patient transport apparatus for attachment to the loading and unloading system including a base, a litter, and a lift mechanism to facilitate arranging the litter at different heights relative to the base with an actuator movable between fully-retracted and fully-extended configurations, a coupler for engaging the receiver to secure the patient transport apparatus, first and second sensors configured to output a first signal and second signal and a controller to determine a target lift configuration during unloading from the emergency based on first and second values and to drive the actuator to the target lift configuration to limit relative movement between the patient transport apparatus and the trolley.
LITTER LIFT SYSTEM
A litter lift system includes a winch and a lifting strap. The winch includes a rotatable spool. The lifting strap has one end coupled to the rotatable spool and is movable due to rotation of the rotatable spool. The lifting strap has a first lifting segment and a second lifting segment positioned away from the end of the lifting strap coupled to the rotatable spool. The first lifting segment and the second lifting segment are each forked to interface with a frame of a litter at first lifting segment and second lifting segment distal ends, wherein a coupling is attached to the first lifting segment. Rotation of the rotatable spool in a first direction raises the first lifting segment and the second lifting segment. Rotation of the rotatable spool in a second direction different from the first direction lowers the first lifting segment and the second lifting segment.
Displacement mechanism for getting disabled person into and out of car
A displacement mechanism contains: a support rack, a sitting assembly, a slide rod, two fixing feet, a back, a first holding plate, a second holding plate, and an expandable sheet. The support rack includes a fixer having a post, a rolling stand having multiple first rollers, and a lifter. The sitting assembly includes a receiving orifice and a rotatable mounting. The slide rod includes an elongated hole for connecting the slide rod with the post. A respective foot includes a second roller. The back is disposed on a rear end of the sitting assembly. The first holding plate is mounted on a seat of a wheelchair, and the sitting assembly is slid between the fixer and the first holding plate. The second holding plate is connected on a seat of a car. The expandable sheet is disposed between the fixer and the second holding plate.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING STATUS OF PERSONS IN A VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a method and system for monitoring the status of a person in the vicinity of a vehicle, including capturing an image of an area in the vehicle or in the vicinity of the vehicle, analysing the captured image, detecting if the captured image contains a person, determining at a first time a characteristic associated with the person in the captured image, comparing the characteristic with a predefined threshold value; and in response to the determined parameter surpassing the predefined threshold value, actuating a change of state of the vehicle. The characteristic may comprise temperature.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING PERSONNEL HARNESSING AND POSITION PROTOCOL ADHERENCE
The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for determining patient safety, including capturing an image of an area and determining if a person on the patient transport apparatus is correctly harnessed according to a predefined protocol and/or correctly positioned according to a predefined protocol.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SANITARY CONTROL IN A VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for sanitary control in a vehicle, including capturing an image of an area in the vehicle or in the vicinity of the vehicle, analysing the captured image, and determining if one or more predefined sanitary protocols are satisfied in the vehicle or in the vicinity of the vehicle.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTOLLING ACCESS TO A VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for controlling access to a vehicle, including using the detection of a personnel transport apparatus to actuate vehicle doors to unlock and determining a suitable means of access to the vehicle based on a determined type of patient transport apparatus. The determined suitable means may include a ramp, a lift or manual access depending on the type of patient transport apparatus.
