Apparatus for ascending and descending stairs with a wheelchair
An apparatus that permits a wheelchair to traverse stairs. A carriage platform supporting the wheelchair is housed in an inclined ways assembly and moves by means of a rotated threaded rod supported in the ways and traveling nuts fixed to the carriage; a debarkation ramp hinged to the carriage, spans the distance and elevation difference between the carriage and the desired landing point.
Amusement ride transfer accessibility device for the physically-disabled
An apparatus and method for assisting the transfer of a physically-disabled person into or out of an amusement ride. The apparatus and method involve a base portion having an elevated seat and an associated extension. The base portion is mobile and can be positioned adjacent the amusement ride. The extension is then positioned within the amusement ride to provide a smooth platform that permits the passenger to slide from the elevated seat, down the extension and into an open seat in the amusement ride. The process is reversed to permit the passenger egress from the amusement ride. The base portion also includes at least one wheel assembly and feet upon which the base portion rests during use. When it is necessary to move the base portion, it is simply tilted onto the wheel assembly off of the feet for quick and easy transport. The elevated seat and extension are covered with a comfortable material.
Multifunctional Aircraft Aisle Wheelchair and Related Systems and Methods
The various embodiments disclosed herein relate to wheelchair systems for transporting a mobility-challenged passenger onto an aircraft and transfer that passenger into an aircraft seat. The implementations include systems with lift systems, belt systems, and/or transfer ramps.
Portable Apparatus For Lifting Objects
In general, this invention allows one to easily move a heavy object, via a lightweight portable lift. It can lift heavy electric wheelchairs, scooters to and from a vehicle. In addition, it can lift other heavy objects such as coolers, groceries, a toolbox, or lawn equipment. It is composed of a lightweight material and allows easy transportation and storage. It includes a foldable base, a hoisting arm and a power supply and motor.
Apparatus for seating a person in an obstructed seat
An apparatus is disclosed which enables a person to be moved into a seat which may be obstructed by an arm rest or another obstacle. In some implementations, an apparatus for seating a person into an obstructed seat may comprise a first support structure for supporting the person in a position adjacent the obstructed seat; a second support structure configured to be placed onto the seat; and a transfer structure configured to enable the person to move or be moved from the first support structure to the second support structure.

ELECTRICALLY-POWERED PLATFORM POOL LIFT
Various embodiments include a system that provides assisted access to a pool. The system includes a platform that includes a frame, a deck, and one or more handrails. The deck is attached to the frame and sized to receive a wheelchair. The one or more handrails are attached to at least one of the frame and the deck. The system includes an upright lifting component case. The frame of the platform is substantially perpendicular to the upright lifting component case. The system includes lifting components that are at least partially disposed in the upright lifting component case and attached to the platform. The lifting components are operable to vertically move the frame between a top and a bottom of the upright lifting component case. The system includes an electrical power source operable to provide electrical power to at least a portion of the lifting components.
ACCESS SYSTEM FOR A TRANSPORT VEHICLE
An access system for providing ramp access to a vehicle comprising: a containment module mounted within a ground surface; a subframe member mounted to a base surface of the containment module to extend substantially over the base surface of the containment module; a tilting frame pivotally mounted to the subframe member and actuable such that a free end of the tilting frame is able to be elevated and lowered with respect to the subframe member; a extension frame mounted within the tilting frame adjacent the free end thereof, the extension frame actuable to extend from and retract into the extension frame when the extension frame is in an elevated position; wherein, movement of the tilting frame and the extension frame is controlled by a controller to extend from the ground surface to the vehicle to facilitate ramp access to the vehicle
AIRCRAFT MOBILITY LIFT APPARATUS AND METHOD
The present disclosure relates to a mobility lift configured to assist individuals with limited mobility in navigating obstacles, such as aircraft stairs. The lift includes a platform serving as the primary support surface, capable of moving between lowered and elevated positions. A motor, potentially electrical and battery-powered, facilitates the lift's vertical transitions. Incorporated manual lift means provide operational capability in the event of a power failure. The system is mounted on casters for maneuverability, includes a foot brake for secure positioning, and features extensible platform elements with safety lockout devices. Handrails with extensions and pivot locks are included for user support, and a collapsible seat offers optional seating. A control panel with a remote module allows for both direct and remote operation. Additionally, stabilizing legs offer enhanced stability. The lift's adaptable design accommodates various accessibility challenges, including passenger transport and luggage handling.
