Posture saver
The present invention relates generally to a garment for improving body posture that is lightweight, comfortable, discrete, adjustable, and easy to use, while requiring very little material with a low manufacturing cost. The present invention has scapular straps that are made of elastic fabric. One end of the scapular straps connect to a hook-and-loop panel near the waistline on the front of the garment, and the other end of the scapular straps connect to the back of the garment near the shoulder region. The invention has neither an elastic waist band, shoulder pads, nor straps that surround the shoulder and the arm. Since there are no straps surrounding the shoulder, the invention not only allows shorter straps to be used, but also prevents any seams from showing on the front of the garment. This allows the wearer to discreetly wear the posture correcting garment.
SENSOR BASED WEARABLE FABRIC DESIGN FOR IDENTIFYING DISTORTION IN MOVEMENTS AND QUANTIFYING RANGE OF MOTION
This disclosure relates generally to a sensor based wearable fabric design for identifying distortion in movements and quantifying range of motion. Accurate quantification of multi-axial range of motion involved in complex movements of human body parts is challenging. The disclosure discloses a system and method providing a wearable fabric comprising a plurality of honey-comb structure with a plurality of adjacently placed hexagon structures. An optical sensor unit is placed on each side of each hexagon structure comprised in the plurality of honey-comb structures. A deformation of the plurality of sides of hexagon structure is determined to generate signatures of movement patterns of one or more body parts of a subject. Further, a comparison of generated signatures with stored signatures of the movement patterns is performed to determine an error indicative of a distortion in the movement patterns. The system and method accurately quantify range of motion with increased measurement accuracy.
DYNAMIC ANCHORING USING LOCALIZED ACTIVE COMPRESSION
Anchoring of fabrics for applications in which force is applied by or on the fabric facilitates new uses and functionalities. Dynamic anchoring through any of three modes (mechanical, compressive, or friction-based) enables transient or permanent anchoring across a garment or other fabric.
Wrist guard
The present invention relates to a wrist guard and provides a wrist guard that does not pressurize the entire wrist portion but allows for pressurizing only the radius portion and the ulna portion, thereby not only performing a wrist protection function in a stable manner, but also not hindering blood circulation since other portions of the wrist are not pressurized, and thus may be conveniently used since side-effects such as hand numbness or hand swelling do not occur even when wearing same for a long period, and the position and thickness of a pressurizing pad for pressurizing the radius portion and the ulna portion of the wrist may be adjusted according to the needs of a user, and thus the wrist guard may be more conveniently used since same may be altered into an optimal state according to physical conditions of the user or environmental conditions.
Non-surgical method and apparatus for treating carpal tunnel syndrome
A method includes providing a strap having a length enabled to encircle one side of a user's hand and tricep area when the user's elbow is bent at 90°, and creating a loop with the strap. The loop closing with a buckle, and positioning the inside of one end of the loop around a ventral or dorsal portion of a user's hand or fingers. A step is provided for positioning the inside flat surface of a second end of the loop around at an area at a back side of the user's upper arm, above the elbow, with the elbow bent at approximately 90 degrees. The strap is then tightened to achieve an effective stretch as determined by the user and the stretch may be held for a determined amount of time thereby increasing strength and flexibility and lessen pain in the user's hand, wrist and forearm.
THERAPEUTIC GARMENTS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to an apparatus that provides therapeutic effects and a source of hydration. The apparatus includes a garment that has one or more compartments for storing a therapeutic element. The therapeutic element may include one or more herbs, essential oils, and combinations thereof. The apparatus also includes a portable drinking apparatus attached to the garment. The portable drinking apparatus includes a pouch having a liquid reservoir inserted therein and a drinking tube having a first end in fluid communication with the liquid reservoir and a second end having a mouth operated valve. Methods of use are also disclosed.

CLOTHING ARTICLE COMPRISING A TOURNIQUET
A clothing article including a tourniquet disclosed. In one implementation, the clothing article is worn high at the waist or on the leg. The clothing article includes a belt. The belt presents a holster having a tourniquet. The tourniquet provides a tourniquet strap, a windlass rod and a V-ring. The tourniquet strap mounts to the holster and the windlass rod mounts to the tourniquet strap. When a user gets injured on the leg, the user tightens the tourniquet strap by twisting the windlass rod to further tighten the tourniquet strap such that bleeding stops from the injured area. Further, the V-ring locks the position of the windlass rod once it is determined that adequate pressure is achieved on the leg. In another implementation, the clothing article comes in a vest configuration and the tourniquet mounts at sleeves of the clothing article. The tourniquet helps to stop blood flow to the injured area on the arm.
WEARABLE PERSONAL HUMIDIFIER
Disclosed herein is a wearable personal, humidifier that includes a reservoir for holding water including an output port, a water delivery material including a hydrophilic porous or hydrophilic fibrous material, wherein the water delivery material is configured to make an airtight seal with the output port of the reservoir. The water delivery material includes a cavity having an opening to the output port of the reservoir. The output port is located on the bottom of the reservoir when the wearable personal humidifier is worn such that the flow of water from the reservoir to the water delivery material is self-regulated. As a user breathes, water from the water delivery material evaporates into the air consumed by the user and water from the reservoir automatically re-saturates the water delivery material.
THERAPEUTIC WEIGHTED ROBE
A therapeutic weighted robe having a body constructed of a soft pliable plush fabric that is divided into a plurality of body pocket sections along the exterior surface of the body. The robe further comprises a pair of shoulders integrally formed with the body, wherein each shoulder is divided into three sealed shoulder pocket sections. A collar is attached to the body and shoulders, and houses a number of collar pocket sections and a tubular border. Each of the body pocket sections, shoulder pocket sections and collar pocket sections accommodate a carrier of dense filler elements, preferably glass beads. The shoulder pocket sections comprise approximately 7 to 16 percent of the total glass bead weight of the therapeutic weighted robe, wherein the shoulder pocket sections are more dense than other sections of the therapeutic robe.
