A compression legging apparatus for therapeutic compression to relieve pain, fatigue, and swelling includes a legging body having a right leg portion, a left leg portion, and a waist portion. The legging body being is elasticized and is configured to create a continuously skintight and snugly compressive fit on a user's body. The waist portion extends to above the user's waistline adjacent the user's navel. The right leg portion has a right foot section extending to adjacent the user's right toes and a right heel cutout to expose the user's right heel. The left leg portion has a left foot section extending to adjacent the user's left toes and a left heel cutout to expose the user's left heel. A waistband is coupled to the waist portion. The waistband is elasticized and configured to create a tighter fit around the user's waistline.

COMPRESSION GARMENT
20200397067 · 2020-12-24 ·

A garment having an upper portion, a midportion and a lower portion. The midportion is configured to extend about a torso section of the user. The midportion is constructed of compression material which provides localized support to the torso section of the user. The upper portion is positioned above the midportion and the lower portion is positioned below the midportion. When worn by a user, the upper portion and the lower portion maintain the midportion about the torso section of the user. The midportion supports the torso of the user which allows the user to move without significant restriction while providing postural control to the torso of the user.

COMPRESSION GARMENT ENHANCED WITH HEMP FIBERS
20200399822 · 2020-12-24 · ·

Hemp fibers may be disposed throughout or in selected portions of a compression garment (e.g., glove, posture support garment, pants, leggings, tights, shorts, long sleeve top, short sleeve top, sock, etc.). The hemp fibers deployed in the compression garment enhance the durability of the compression garment, and imparts various advantageous properties (e.g., anti-microbial or anti-bacterial, mildew-resistant, odor reduction, moisture wicking, etc.) to the compression garment, enabling the compression garment to be provided with comfort and style.

Garment with localized circulation boosting feature
10869511 · 2020-12-22 · ·

A garment for boosting circulation in areas of a user's body corresponding to the user's joints, having at least one fabric member of a size for at least partly covering at least one part of the user's body that includes at least one joint area lying over at least one joint of the user, and at least one muscle area lying over at least one muscle of the user, the fabric member being at least one of dimensioned and structured so as not to compress the part of the user's body covered by the fabric member, the fabric member having a heat insulating property at each joint area to be covered and a heat transmitting property at each muscle area to be covered, so that when the garment is worn, each joint area stays warmer than each muscle area to boost circulation in each joint area.

PADDED AND PREWIRED EXOSKELETON HARNESS
20200383865 · 2020-12-10 ·

Disclosed herein is a padded and prewired exoskeleton harness. The exoskeleton harness comprises a clothing article including a clothing material to receive at least a portion of a user. In certain embodiments, the clothing material includes a fabric and at least one patch with a greater coefficient of static friction and greater thickness than the fabric to increase the friction between the user and the exoskeleton, thereby increasing coupling and power transfer therebetween. In certain embodiments, the exoskeleton harness includes at least one internal electronic port positioned at an interior of the clothing material to electronically communicate with one of a plurality of skin-mounted biosensors. The internal ports are prewired within the clothing material to an external electronic a port for communicating with the exoskeleton. The prewiring of the exoskeleton harness facilitates connection between skin-mounted sensors and a data acquisition (DAQ) system.

WRIST GUARD WITH IMPROVED OPERATION PERFORMANCE
20200383401 · 2020-12-10 ·

Provided is a wrist guard designed to press the radial and ulnar parts of a wrist toward the center of the wrist by means of a compression pad, so as to prevent side effects, such as hand numbness and swelling and effectively provide a fixing force of the wrist, thereby preventing the wrist from being excessively bent and alleviating wrist pain. The wrist guard allows a user to adjust the pressure load on the radial and ulnar parts of the wrist. It is possible to smoothly insert and assemble the pressing member into a coupling body, therefore improving operational feeling, the wrist guard may be stably used, and damage due to interference can be prevented. A stable pulling operation prevents wear and damage. As an excessive pressure load on the radial and ulnar regions is attenuated, the wrist guard is more convenient and comfortable.

ACTIVE FABRICS, GARMENTS, AND MATERIALS

Active fabrics can be created by combining active and passive materials. Active materials with shape memory or other actuation characteristics can generate compression or dynamic fit, and the level of compression and/or change in fit can be determined by setting a knit index, wire diameter, and garment ease, or fit in relation to the body. Maximum compression can be set not only by varying physical properties of the knit structure but by built-in circuit breaking technologies, or by segmentation and control of the garment by a controller. In some embodiments, additive manufacturing can be combined with traditional textile equipment (e.g., circular knitting machine). Uniquely functional or active textiles can be made from additively manufactured, heterogeneous filaments. Yarn-like filament with varying properties (such as elasticity, stiffness, conductivity, activation, or surface properties) can be additively manufactured. This filament can be formed into a textile or garment with functional properties that are a results of emergent interactions between the heterogeneous filament components.
