Adaptable protective garment
An adaptable protective garment is configured to be donned by a user to cover and identify a sensitive portion of the user. The adaptable protective garment broadly includes an outer garment layer, an inner garment layer, and exposed indicia. The outer garment layer covers the sensitive portion when the garment is donned. At least one of the garment layers defines an interior pocket that is covered by the outer garment layer when the garment is donned so as to be hidden from view. The exposed indicia is secured to the exterior surface of the outer garment layer and is viewable when the garment is donned. The exposed indicia is located adjacent the interior pocket to visibly identify the location of the interior pocket along the exterior surface.
Phototherapy Anti-Smog Cloth Structure
A cloth structure includes a first weaving layer, a second weaving layer interwoven with the first weaving layer, an intermediate connecting layer located between the first weaving layer and the second weaving layer, and a sun protection layer applied on the first weaving layer. The cloth structure presents a single-cloth fabric. The sun protection layer covers pores of the first weaving layer and forms a first protection layer to filter the smog. The first weaving layer is formed with inverted V-shaped cloth patterns, so that the first weaving layer forms a second protection layer to filter the smog. The intermediate connecting layer forms a third protection layer to filter the smog. The second weaving layer obstructs the thread openings of the first weaving layer and forms a fourth protection layer to filter the smog.
Photosensitizing antibody-fluorophore conjugates
The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods of killing cells. In particular examples, the method includes contacting a cell having a cell surface protein with a therapeutically effective amount of an antibody-IR700 molecule, wherein the antibody specifically binds to the cell surface protein, such as a tumor-specific antigen on the surface of a tumor cell. The cell is subsequently irradiated, such as at a wavelength of 660 to 740 nm at a dose of at least 1 J cm.sup.2. The cell is also contacted with one or more therapeutic agents (such as an anti-cancer agent), for example about 0 to 8 hours after irradiating the cell, thereby killing the cell. Also provided are methods of imaging cell killing in real time, using fluorescence lifetime imaging. Also provided are wearable devices that include an article of clothing, jewelry, or covering; and an NIR LED incorporated into the article, which can be used with the disclosed methods.
Photosensitizing antibody-fluorophore conjugates
The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods of killing cells in vitro or in vivo. In particular examples, the method includes contacting a cell having a cell surface protein with a therapeutically effective amount of an antibody-IR700 molecule, wherein the antibody specifically binds to the cell surface protein. In particular examples the antibody recognizes a tumor-specific antigen on the surface of a tumor cell. The cell is subsequently irradiated, such as at a wavelength of 660 to 740 nm at a dose of at least 1 J cm.sup.2, thereby killing the cell. Also provided are wearable devices that include an article of clothing, jewelry, or covering; and an NIR LED incorporated into the article, which can be used with the disclosed methods.
NECK SUPPORT DEVICE
In one embodiment, a neck support device includes: first and second leg attachment portions; a head cradle; and a first coupling portion attaching the first leg attachment portion to the head cradle and a second coupling portion attaching the second leg attachment portion to the head cradle. In another embodiment, a method of supporting the neck of a user when the user is laying on his or her back or supporting the back of a user when the user is in a seated position includes: attaching the first leg attachment portion to the first leg of the user; attaching the second leg attachment portion to the second leg of the user; and fixing the head cradle.
Ambidextrous hand compression therapeutic glove for remediating inflammation, swelling, and pain
Anatomically contoured ambidextrous compression glove particularly for the hand, form fitting to the tissue to ensure targeted delivery of therapeutic treatment to specific tissue, and yet remain stably affixed without pinching or binding, and allow for motion and use of the tissue while delivering targeted therapeutic treatment.
TOPICAL USE AND DELIVERY OF AMMONIA OXIDIZING MICROORGANISMS
A method of preventing progression of an appearance or effect of aging in a subject is provided. A method of preventing, limiting, or inhibiting injury to skin integrity in a subject is also provided. A method of substantially maintaining a state of skin integrity in a subject is further provided. A method of preventing a topographical change of a cutaneous layer of skin in a subject is still further provided. The methods comprise administering an effective amount of a preparation comprising ammonia oxidizing microorganisms to the subject. Related preparations and kits are also provided.
Elastomeric articles having skin care properties and methods for their production
The present application provides elastomeric articles that are able to deliver skin care properties to a person wearing or coming into contact with the article. The articles comprise an elastomeric film a plant stem cell material. The plant stem cell material may be in the form of a bilayer membrane-encapsulated plant stem cell material. The plant stem cell material may be present as a layer or coating on a surface of the elastomeric film. Also provided are methods for the production of the articles.
Braces for immobilizing a clavicle fracture in an infant and related methods
Braces for immobilizing clavicle fractures in infants may include a garment of fabric sized and shaped to extend around a torso and along at least one arm of an infant. The garment may include a first closure configured to secure the garment around the torso of the infant, a second closure configured to secure the garment over a shoulder corresponding to a fractured clavicle of the infant, and a sleeve configured to extend around an upper and lower arm of the infant on a same lateral side of the garment as the second closure. The sleeve may include at least a third closure configured to secure the sleeve around the upper and lower arm of the infant. A portion of the sleeve may be affixed to a portion of the garment, the portion of the garment to which the sleeve may be affixed being located over the torso of the infant when the garment is secured around the torso of the infant.
GARMENT INCLUDING THERAPEUTIC LIGHT SOURCE
A garment includes a fabric base layer and at least one side-emitting optical fiber retained to or integrated with the fabric base layer. The fabric base layer can stretch in the grain and cross grain direction of the fabric base layer. The at least one side-emitting optical fiber is located in at least one light-emitting zone to be located over a targeted body area of the person wearing the garment, and is configured to receive light from a light source and in the at least one light-emitting zone is configured to project light having a therapeutic wavelength toward the targeted body area.
