Patient comfort apparatus and system
An apparatus, a system, and a method for thermally comforting a patient include pneumatic, convective device providing thermal treatment for persons or animals, which is adapted for use in combination with a clinical garment such as a hospital gown, robe, bib, and other equivalents. The pneumatic convective device provides convective warming focused or directed primarily on the thorax or body core. The pneumatic convective device includes at least one inlet for being accessed through a clinical garment, a region in distribution with the inlet for distributing a stream of pressurized, thermally treated air, and a permeable member for emitting pressurized, thermally treated air from the distribution region.
METHOD OF SUPPORTING THE NECK OF A USER
In one embodiment, a method of supporting the neck of a user when the user is laying on his or her back includes: obtaining a neck support device including first and second leg attachment portions, a head cradle, and a first coupling portion attaching the first leg attachment portion to the head cradle and a second coupling portion attaching the second leg attachment portion to the head cradle; attaching the first leg attachment portion to the first leg or foot of the user; attaching the second leg attachment portion to the second leg or foot of the user; and arranging the head cradle on a back portion of a user's head such that the user's head is held in tension.
TOPICAL USE AND DELIVERY OF AMMONIA OXIDIZING MICROORGANISMS
A method of preventing progression of an appearance or effect of aging in a subject is provided. A method of preventing, limiting, or inhibiting injury to skin integrity in a subject is also provided. A method of substantially maintaining a state of skin integrity in a subject is further provided. A method of preventing a topographical change of a cutaneous layer of skin in a subject is still further provided. The methods comprise administering an effective amount of a preparation comprising ammonia oxidizing microorganisms to the subject. Related preparations and kits are also provided.
WEIGHTED APPAREL AND RELATED MANUFACTURING METHODS
Weighted apparel designed for training and/or weight loss, for example, along with related manufacturing methods. In some embodiments, a plurality of spherical weighted elements may be positioned within one or more tunnels formed within a piece of fabric. The tunnels may be sealed such that the weighted elements are contained within the tunnels and add a desired amount of weight to the fabric according to the number of weighted elements and the density of the material of such weighted elements. The fabric may be incorporated into a piece of apparel, such as shirts, pants, hats, belts, gloves, socks, ankle or wrist bands, shin guards, or full body suits, for example.
Systems and Methods for Detection, Treatment, Prevention, and Protection
Systems and methods for detection, treatment, prevention and protection are shown and described. UVC may be used in such applications.
Real-time kinematic analysis during cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
Systems and methods related to the field of cardiac resuscitation, and in particular to devices for assisting rescuers in performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are described herein. The system includes a camera to capture one or more images at a scene where the person in need of medical assistance is being treated and one or more processors. The processors receive and process the images, by using a rescuer profile, to provide a real-time feedback to the rescuer to improve the CPR treatment.
Therapuetic weighted article of clothing
An article of clothing and a method of manufacture thereof, where, the article of clothing includes a weighted material inconspicuously disposed within a material forming the article, where the weighted material is configured to apply a therapeutic pressure to the body of a user when the article of clothing is worn.
ENVIRONMENTALLY NATURAL PROTECTIVE AND THERAPEUTIC (ENPT) FACE MASK
An environmentally natural protective and therapeutic (ENPT) mask and an associated method of forming the ENPT mask. The ENPT mask includes: a face mask; and one or more essential oils embedded in the face mask. The one or more essential oils are configured to destroy microbes in direct physical contact with the one or more essential oils. The method of forming the ENPT mask includes embedding the one or more essential oils in the face mask.
WEARABLE QUANTUM TREATMENT DEVICE
A wearable quantum treatment device embodied in a garment made in such ways as making a conductive fabric into a garment for a human body; sewing a common fabric with quantum energy generating coils; sewing a fabric of a conductive film with quantum energy generating coils; winding a metal wire into quantum energy generating coils and attaching the same to a fabric, such that a power supply unit disposed at one side of a lower portion of the front or the back of a garment supplies a variable DC or AC power in a form of pulsed electromagnetic field to the quantum energy generating coils, whereby pulsed electromagnetic fields are generated in directions opposite to each other, thereby overlapping and dissipating each other so as to create and irradiate quantum energy in a state of zero strength electromagnetic field to a human body, thus eventually improving health and treating diseases.
THERAPEUTIC WEARABLE ARTICLES
A wearable article, comprising a treatment delivery system, the system having a pliable assembly of layers, including an absorbent layer or other receptacle layer having a surface for absorbing or containing a treatment agent and intended to orient against a wearer's skin (dermal embodiment) or outside of the article oriented towards the wearer's olfactory system (aromatherapy embodiment); a base layer for the wearable article; a barrier or other backing layer for selectively blocking the passage of the treatment agent, while preferably allowing skin moisture to pass through the backing layer disposed between the receptacle layer and the backing layer.
