Device and system including adaptive repair circuit
A device, system, and/or method includes an internal circuit configured to perform at least one function, an input-output terminal set and a repair circuit. The input-output terminal set includes a plurality of normal input-output terminals connected to an external device via a plurality of normal signal paths and at least one repair input-output terminal selectively connected to the external device via at least one repair signal path. The repair circuit repairs at least one failed signal path included in the normal signal paths based on a mode signal and fail information signal, where the mode signal represents whether to use the repair signal path and the fail information signal represents fail information on the normal signal paths. Using the repair circuit, various systems adopting different repair schemes may be repaired and cost of designing and manufacturing the various systems may be reduced.

DISASTER RECOVERY SERVICE
A customer may use a disaster recovery service to generate a disaster recovery scenario in order to make certain resources available to the customer in the event of a data region failure. The customer may specify a recovery point objective, a recovery time objective and a recovery data region for the scenario. Accordingly, the disaster recovery service may coordinate with one or more other services provided by the computing resource service provider to reproduce the customer resources and other resources necessary to support the customer resources. These reproduced resources may be transferred to the recovery data region based at least in part on the parameters specified by the customer. In the event of a data region failure, the disaster recovery service may update the domain name system to resolve any customer requests for the customer resources to the recovery data region.
Fault detection and correction for single and multiple media players connected to electronic displays, and related devices, methods and systems
Systems, devices, software, hardware and networks adapted and arranged for monitoring and correcting faults in networked media player systems that include electronic displays are provided. After detection or notification of a fault in at least one networked media player in a network of at least two, or N, media players operationally connected to electronic displays, the invention provides an alternate source of signal to the affected display. In some preferred embodiments, the invention utilizes at least one additional, or N+1, media player as a backup to substitute for the failed media player. Reconfiguration of the faulted media player by means of the N+1 backup networked media player advantageously increases the reliability and efficiency of ongoing maintenance of digital visual systems operating in commercial and other environments.
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for detecting and managing suspect subscriber bindings
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for managing suspect subscriber bindings. In some examples, a method is performed by a Diameter signaling router (DSR) for a telecommunications network. The method includes binding a subscriber to a first policy and charging rules function (PCRF) server selected from a plurality of PCRF servers for the telecommunications network. The method includes determining that one or more messages destined to the first PCRF server have failed according to one or more user-configurable rules defining failure. The method includes tearing down the binding between the subscriber and the first PCRF server.
FAILOVER OF A VIRTUAL FUNCTION EXPOSED BY AN SR-IOV ADAPTER
Failover of a virtual function exposed by an SR-IOV adapter of a computing system, including: instantiating, by a hypervisor, a standby virtual function in the computing system; detecting a loss of communication between a logical partition and an active virtual function mapped to the logical partition; placing the active virtual function and the standby virtual function in an error state; remapping the logical partition to the standby virtual function; and placing the standby virtual function in an error recovery state.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A DATA TRANSFER SYSTEM, AND DATA TRANSFER SYSTEM
A method for operating a data transfer system includes connecting a first data transfer device to a first data line which is connected to a first data interface, connecting a second data transfer device to a second data line which is connected to a second data interface, and transferring data over the first data interface. In order to achieve reliable operation of the data transfer system, a transfer of data through the second data interface is prevented. A data transfer system and a rail vehicle set having a plurality of railcars and a data transfer system are also provided.
RESUMING A REMOTE DEBUGGING SESSION USING A BACKUP NODE
Aspects include detecting, by an agent of a remote debugging tool that a first controller currently associated with the agent for a debugging session has not responded to a status inquiry from the agent. The first controller interacts with an end user, sends requests to the agent to operate a target program, and processes responses from the agent. Based on detecting that the first controller has not responded to the status inquiry from the agent, the agent identifies a second controller, associates the second controller with the agent for the debugging session, and resumes the debugging session with the second controller in place of the first controller. The associating includes synchronizing a debugging session state between the second controller and the agent. The target program continues to execute during the identifying, associating, and resuming, and the debugging session state is not changed by the identifying, associating, and resuming.
Routing data streams around faults in strands
A fault-tolerant storage system includes a first strand comprising a first initiating device connected to a first expansion device of a first set of serially connected expansion devices, a second strand comprising a second initiating device connected to a first expansion device of a second set of serially connected expansion devices, and a plurality of zoning switches that each connect an expansion device in the first set of serially connected expansion devices to a corresponding expansion device in the second set of serially connected expansion devices. A computer program product and method executed by a computer corresponding to the above system are also disclosed herein.
