Method of Managing DB Between Duplex EMS Server
A method of managing databases (DBs) in duplex servers includes: updating a DB in the backup server to a first version; transmitting a list of name keys in the backup server to the active server; transmitting name keys that are identical between the active server and the backup server to the backup server; and synchronizing DBs between the active server and the backup server by using the identical name keys. The data can be synchronized between DBs having different versions based on name keys.
Facility control system and facility control method
A facility control system comprises a selection processing portion that selects, based on a manual operation and when an abnormal condition occurs in a first-layer computer that executes a first-layer program which issues an apparatus operating command to an apparatus controller, whether to cause a second-layer computer to execute the first-layer program that had been executed by the first-layer computer, and a substitute command output processing portion which outputs a substitute command in accordance with selection information selected by the selection processing portion. The second-layer computer executes the first-layer program that had been executed by the first-layer computer in which the abnormal condition occurred based on a substitute command outputted by the substitute command output processing portion.
Facility control system and facility control method
A facility control system comprises a selection processing portion that selects, based on a manual operation and when an abnormal condition occurs in a second-layer computer that issues a task command to a first-layer program which issues an apparatus operating command to an apparatus controller, whether to cause a first-layer computer to execute a second-layer program that had been executed by the second-layer computer, and a substitute command output processing portion which outputs a substitute command in accordance with selection information selected by the selection processing portion. The first-layer computer executes the second-layer program that had been executed by the second-layer computer in which the abnormal condition occurred based on a substitute command outputted by the substitute command output processing portion.
Operation of I/O in a safe system
A module health system includes a module health circuit comprising a hardware register that is set to a first value in response to the system starting, an application register that is set to the first value in response to the system starting and a watchdog timer register that is set to the first value in response to the system starting. The system further includes a power on self-test that determines whether the system has passed a plurality of tests and that selectively sets the hardware register to a second value based on the determination, an external software application that determines whether a safety critical system is healthy and selectively sets the application register based on the determination, a watchdog timer application that selectively sets the watchdog timer register, a central processing unit that determines whether to de-assert a module health signal.
Pre-population of data for replication of data backups
A system and a method are disclosed for pre-seeding data to backup servers and determining servers for additional backups. Backup data is received from a client device through a first backup request and sent to a primary server for storage. Additional backup data from a second backup request is received. After the initial backup data is stored on the primary server and pre-seeded by the primary server on a secondary server, a status of backup servers associated with the client device is received. The backup servers include the primary server and can include the secondary server. Responsive to the status indicating availability of a server in the backup servers, a recipient server is identified from the backup servers and the additional backup data is sent to the identified recipient server.
Automated restart of paused virtual machines due to input/output errors
An apparatus includes a storage device of a host computing device. The storage device is to store a virtualization manager. The apparatus also includes a processing device of the host computing device and operatively coupled to the storage device. The processing device is to determine that a first instance of a virtual machine on a first host computing device is paused based on an error associated with a connection to a storage device of the first host computing device, determine whether the second host computing device has access to the storage device of the first host computing device, instantiate a second instance of the virtual machine on the second host computing device when the second host computing device is determined to have access to the storage device of the first host computing device, and to stop the first instance of the virtual machine on the first host computing device.
MONITORING DEVICE, FAULT-TOLERANT SYSTEM, AND CONTROL METHOD
A monitoring device is mounted in each of a plurality of operational systems constituting a fault-tolerant system. The plurality of operational systems have an identical configuration including a processor system. The monitoring device includes a processor. The processor executes instruction to read data from a predetermined storage area in a memory of an accessory device to be monitored, connected to the processor system. The processor further executes instruction to compare the read data with reference data held in advance. The processor further executes instruction to separate the processor system connected to the accessory device to be monitored from the fault-tolerant system when the read data is different from the reference data.
HEARTBEAT-BASED DATA SYNCHRONIZATION APPARATUS AND METHOD, AND DISTRIBUTED STORAGE SYSTEM
A heartbeat-based data synchronization method is disclosed. The method is applied to a distributed storage system, and at least one data block group is stored in the distributed storage system. The distributed storage system includes multiple storage devices, one device in the multiple storage devices is a primary device for storing the data block group, and other devices are secondary devices for storing the data block group. The primary device performs the method. The primary device obtains access status information of the data block group, determines a heartbeat time of the data block group according to the access status information of the data block group, and sends a data synchronization instruction to the secondary device according to the heartbeat time of the data block group, where the data synchronization instruction is used to instruct the secondary device to synchronize data.
VIRTUAL MACHINE SERVICE AVAILABILITY
A plurality of services are monitored to determine if a service availability of a service is reduced. An instance of a second service executing on a virtual machine on a server is deactivated. A second virtual machine is activated on the server to execute an instance of the service with reduced availability.
Network virtualization policy management system
Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for providing a network virtualization policy management system. An event relating to a service can be detected. A first policy that defines allocation of hardware resources to host the virtual network functions can be obtained, as can a second policy that defines deployment of the virtual network functions to the hardware resources. The hardware resources can be allocated based upon the first policy and the virtual network functions can be deployed to the hardware resources based upon the second policy.
