A SAS system includes an SAS controller, a first expansion card, a second expansion card, and a third expansion card. The first expansion card includes a first port and a second port. The second expansion card and the third expansion card establish a communication connection to the SAS controller by using the first expansion card. The first expansion card establishes a communication connection to the second expansion card through the first port. The first expansion card establishes a communication connection to the third expansion card through the second port. The second expansion card is connected to the third expansion card.

Intelligent continuous data protection snapshot based backups

A system and method is illustrated for utilizing an agent in intelligent Continuous Data Protection (CDP) snapshot based backups. The system and method utilizing the agent receiving a previous backup bookmark, obtaining a data change rate by calculating a number of bookmarks since the previous backup bookmark, comparing the data change rate with a threshold, initiating a backup when the data change rate exceeds the threshold, and labeling the backup with a bookmark.

Technologies for dividing work across accelerator devices

Technologies for dividing work across one or more accelerator devices include a compute device. The compute device is to determine a configuration of each of multiple accelerator devices of the compute device, receive a job to be accelerated from a requester device remote from the compute device, and divide the job into multiple tasks for a parallelization of the multiple tasks among the one or more accelerator devices, as a function of a job analysis of the job and the configuration of each accelerator device. The compute engine is further to schedule the tasks to the one or more accelerator devices based on the job analysis and execute the tasks on the one or more accelerator devices for the parallelization of the multiple tasks to obtain an output of the job.

System and method for processing data

According to one embodiment of the present invention there is provided a method of processing status data relating to elements of a network. The method comprises receiving status data relating to elements of the network, obtaining status data modification data, modifying at least some of the received status data in accordance with the status data modification data, and generating tree map data using the modified data.

Data quality

Functionality is disclosed herein for increasing input data quality across data targets. The mechanism disclosed herein may receive input data, aggregate and organize the input data, and determine an importance score for the organized data. The importance score may abstract both a quantitative measure and periodic measure for creating a sliding scale. The sliding scale may subsequently be used to associate desired alert information concerning data quality events at the data targets.

NETWORK OPTIMIZED SCAN WITH DYNAMIC FALLBACK RECOVERY

As disclosed herein a computer-implemented method includes receiving a delta scan from an endpoint system comprising changes to a baseline inventory, and determining if the delta scan can be processed. The method further includes responsive to determining that the delta scan can be processed, processing the delta scan to produce a synchronized baseline inventory, and responsive to determining that the delta scan cannot be processed, indicating that the delta scan is unable to be processed. The method further includes responsive to indicating the delta scan is unable to be processed, receiving a most recent full system scan from the endpoint system to provide a new synchronized baseline inventory. A computer program product and a computer system corresponding to the above method are also disclosed herein.

A method and apparatus of simulating performance characteristics of a virtual machine are disclosed. An example method may include selecting and inserting a virtual machine into a business application service group that includes a plurality of enterprise network devices, initiating a simulation sequence for a predetermined amount of time, recording results of the simulation sequence, and storing the results in memory.

METHOD FOR PROCESSING APPLICATION AND TERMINAL

The present disclosure provides a terminal and a method for processing an application. The method includes: monitoring a temperature change state of a CPU; searching for an APP with a first CPU occupancy rate exceeding a corresponding normal numerical range if it is monitored that a second CPU occupancy rate is also in an increase state upon monitoring that temperature of the CPU is in an increase state; determining the APP as an APP that causes a temperature increase of the CPU; and stopping using the APP that causes the temperature increase of the CPU. According to the method, the influence on the terminal from an APP that causes the temperature increase of the CPU is reduced and the condition that the CPU of the terminal is overheated is avoided.

DETERMINING CHANGES TO COMPONENTS OF A COMPUTING DEVICE PRIOR TO BOOTING TO A PRIMARY ENVIRONMENT OF THE COMPUTING DEVICE
