Method and apparatus for debugging a device

Disclosed are a method and apparatus for debugging a device. A particular embodiment of the method comprises: acquiring target running state information of a target device; constructing a running configuration template and a log collection template according to the target running state information; sending the running configuration template and the log collection template to an edge computing device, and receiving target log information sent by the edge computing device, so as to determine actual running state information; when the actual running state information is different from the target running state information, computing state difference information; and finally, modifying the running configuration template by means of the state difference information value information in order to obtain an updated running configuration template, and sending the updated running configuration template to the edge computing device.

GREEN CLOUD COMPUTING RECOMMENDATION SYSTEM

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for generating customized recommendations for environmentally-conscious cloud computing frameworks for replacing computing resources of existing datacenters. One of the methods involves receiving, through a user interface presented on a display of a computing device, data regarding a user's existing datacenter deployment and the user's preferences for the new cloud computing framework, generating one or more recommendations for environmentally-conscious cloud computing frameworks based on the received data, and presenting such recommendations through the user interface for the user's review and consideration.

Information handling system physical component inventory to aid operational management through near field communication device interaction

NFC communications from a mobile phone to an information handling system initiates an inventory by a management controller of the information handling system. The inventory is provided to the mobile telephone with a second NFC communication so that an end user can see a visual depiction of the interior of the information handling system before opening the chassis of the system.

Consumption unit estimation analytics for prescribing cloud computing resources utilization

A multi-layer consumption unit estimation (CUE) stack may generate a consumption preview for prescribing cloud computing resource utilization. An input layer of the CUE stack may obtain computing resource utilization tracking data, consumption metric data, application execution tracking data, and computing resource reservation data for a set of computing resources. A configuration layer of the CUE stack may determine a CUE interval and determine consumption metric modifiers for a selected identity associated with the set of computing resources. A CUE engine layer may generate a consumption preview by advancing a dynamic consumption credit input/output flow analysis and executing a direct utilization consumption determination. The pre-prescriptive analysis layer may apply a filter metric to mark the preservable computing resource and the correctable computing resource for exclusion from prescriptive utilization processing and initiate the prescriptive utilization processing on the set of computing resources without computing resources marked for exclusion.

Time-differential user interface for datacenter management

A user interface (UI) uses overlays to tag representations of datacenter components with indications of changes that have occurred over a selected time interval. Log files, problem and service reports, and knowledge base items are gathered at various times to generate datacenter snapshots. A pair of snapshots can be compared to detect configuration changes, reported problems and their dispositions, and knowledge-base items introduced during the selected time interval. Trouble-shooting problems can be facilitated by using the interface to find changes that may have led to problems or that may cause problems in the future.

DISTRIBUTED WEBSITE LOAD TESTING SYSTEM RUNNING ON MOBILE DEVICES
20220147431 · 2022-05-12 ·

An instruction to perform load testing is sent to a mobile device where an application running on the mobile device determines whether the mobile device is in a state where load testing is permitted. In response to receiving the instruction, the application running on the mobile device performs load testing on a web server if the mobile device is in the state where load testing is permitted. Performance information associated with the load testing is received from the application running on the mobile device and the performance information associated with the load testing is displayed.

System and method that detect the occupied space, the users who occupy the space, and/or the occupied device

An equipment detection system includes a processor, a communication module, and a display module. The processor is configured to detect a connection to an external device. The processor enumerates device information about the external device, obtains user information from a local host, and generates a data structure according to the device information and the user information. The processor is included in the local host. The communication module is configured to transmit the data structure and receive status information. The status information includes a placement space corresponding to the external device or the status of the external device. The status information is associated with the data structure. Moreover, the display module is configured to display the status information.

Cloud Resource Monitor and Interface Method and System for Containerized Applications

A computer-implemented method for providing cloud resource monitor interfaces for containerized applications includes portraying a hierarchy of monitored cloud resources and identifying a request to display system metrics for a selected set of monitored cloud resources in the hierarchy. One or more application tools associated with the selected set of monitored cloud resources are discovered. The discovered one or more application tools associated with the selected set of monitored cloud resources are portrayed in a first window where each of the one or more application tools are represented by a corresponding symbol presented in the first window such that the one or more application tools can be selected. The one or more system metrics of each of the one or more application tools portrayed in the first window using at least one attribute of the corresponding symbol of the one or more application tools such that system metrics of the one or more application tools can be compared so that a comparison results in a selected set of application tools being determined. A request to display summary system metrics for the selected set of application tools based on the comparison and portraying summary system metrics for the selected set of application tools is identified in a second window.

Self-monitoring

The present approach relates to event monitoring and management of an instance using a generated service map, allowing monitoring of CIs (e.g., applications) and connections that are currently active in a user's specific instance. A self-monitoring solution is generated for a user (e.g., via an application) that depicts status, configuration, and errors related to the user's instance. In certain implementations, the present techniques involve applying internal knowledge of the working of a user's instance and applications to perform the self-monitoring, and determine when an alert should be generated. Further, the present techniques may involve making a determination to provide a user with a self-help solution in addition or based on the self-monitoring of the user's instance.
