SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OPERATING DATA PROCESSING UNITS
A node that includes data processing unit (DPU) and a processor, where the processor is configured to perform a method for utilizing a data processing unit (DPU), that includes identifying, by the DPU, a processing entity operatively connected to the DPU, receiving processing entity properties from the processing entity, storing the processing entity properties in a processing entity catalog, generating a virtual combined memory space in the processing entity catalog, and providing access to the processing entity catalog to a BIOS.
PREPOPULATING PAGE TABLES FOR MEMORY OF WORKLOADS DURING LIVE MIGRATIONS
A method of populating page tables of an executing workload during migration of the executing workload from a source host to a destination host includes the steps of: before resuming the workload at the destination host, populating the page tables of the workload at the destination host, wherein the populating comprises inserting mappings from virtual addresses of the workload to physical addresses of system memory of the destination host; and upon completion of populating the page tables, resuming the workload at the destination host.
Memory tracking for malware detection
A device may load a process under test into virtual memory associated with the device. The virtual memory may include a plurality of memory pages. The device may insert a malware inspection element and a memory tracking element into the process under test and may provide a notification of an event associated with the process under test to a memory tracking element. The device may identify, using the memory tracking element, one or more memory pages of the plurality of memory pages. The one or more memory pages may be assigned to, and used by, the process under test. The device may generate, based on identifying the one or more memory pages, a memory map, associated with the process under test, that may include information identifying the one or more memory pages as being assigned to, and used by, the process under test.
TRUST DOMAINS FOR PERIPHERAL DEVICES
Disclosed are various embodiments for various approaches for implementing trust domains to provide boundaries between PCIe devices connected to the same PCIe switch. A first trust identifier can be assigned to a first virtual machine hosted by the computing device. The first trust identifier can also be assigned to a first PCIe device assigned to the first virtual machine. Later, it can be determined that a second PCIe device connected to the PCIe switch is assigned a second trust identifier assigned to a second virtual machine. An Address Control Services (ACS) direct translated bit for peer-to-peer memory requests in the PCIe switch can be disabled in response to a determination that the second PCIe device is associated with the second trust identifier assigned to the second virtual machine.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND DEVICES FOR PAGE RELOCATION FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION
A method for page management in a memory system may include allocating a page of a mirror memory, copying a valid page from a block of device memory at a device to the page of the mirror memory, remapping the valid page from the block of device memory to the mirror memory, and modifying the block of device memory. The method may further include copying the valid page from the mirror memory to a free page at the device, and remapping the valid page from the mirror memory to the free page at the device. The remapping may be performed using a memory coherent interface. The method may further include deallocating a portion of the mirror memory associated with the valid page based on copying the valid page from the mirror memory.
REVERSE SHADOW PAGE TABLES FOR NESTED VIRTUAL MACHINES
Systems and methods for memory management for virtual machines. An example method may comprise running, by a host computer system, a Level 0 hypervisor managing a Level 1 virtual machine running a Level 1 hypervisor which manages a Level 2 virtual machine. The Level 1 hypervisor may detecting execution of an operation that prevents modification to a set of entries in a Level 2 page table and generate a shadow page table where each shadow page table entry of the plurality of shadow page table entries maps a Level 2 guest virtual address of a Level 2 address space associated with the Level 2 virtual machine to a corresponding Level 1 guest physical address of a Level 1 address space associated with the Level 1 virtual machine. The Level 0 hypervisor may generate a Level 0 page table.
APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACE TO DISASSOCIATE A VIRTUAL ADDRESS
Apparatuses, systems, and techniques to manage memory arrays. In at least one embodiment an application programming interface (API) is performed to disassociate a virtual address indicated by the API from a corresponding physical address.
Unified address translation for virtualization of input/output devices
Embodiments of apparatuses, methods, and systems for unified address translation for virtualization of input/output devices are described. In an embodiment, an apparatus includes first circuitry to use at least an identifier of a device to locate a context entry and second circuitry to use at least a process address space identifier (PASID) to locate a PASID-entry. The context entry is to include at least one of a page-table pointer to a page-table translation structure and a PASID. The PASID-entry is to include at least one of a first-level page-table pointer to a first-level translation structure and a second-level page-table pointer to a second-level translation structure. The PASID is to be supplied by the device. At least one of the apparatus, the context entry, and the PASID entry is to include one or more control fields to indicate whether the first-level page-table pointer or the second-level page-table pointer is to be used.
Flexible on-die fabric interface
An interface for coupling an agent to a fabric supports a set of coherent interconnect protocols and includes a global channel to communicate control signals to support the interface, a request channel to communicate messages associated with requests to other agents on the fabric, a response channel to communicate responses to other agents on the fabric, and a data channel to couple to communicate messages associated with data transfers to other agents on the fabric, where the data transfers include payload data.
