Dynamic file name generation for a plurality of devices
Approaches for dynamic file name generation are provided. A computer-implemented method includes: receiving, by a naming server, user input defining a file naming convention; associating, by the naming server, the file naming convention with a user account; receiving, by the naming server, a first request for a file name from a first user device associated with the user account; generating, by the naming server, a first file name using the file naming convention in response to the first request; transmitting, by the naming server, the first file name to the first user device; receiving, by the naming server, a second request for a file name from a second user device associated with the user account, the second user device being different from the first user device; generating, by the naming server, a second file name using the file naming convention in response to the second request; and transmitting, by the naming server, the second file name to the second user device.
Data movement perimeter monitoring
A system and method is provided for improving data movement perimeter monitoring, and detecting non-compliant data movement within a computing environment. The perimeter monitoring process includes generating a forwarding configuration associated with activity logs, such as activity logs associated with a test environment. The forwarding configuration may include specific fields and file types or the contents of those specific fields and files that facilitate, or are necessary for, perimeter monitoring or otherwise determining which activity log data elements are needed by the “operational intel tool” to reduce, or even substantially reduce, the amount of data input or analyzed by the operational intel tool, and thus, to reduce its processing load. The forwarding configuration is input into an “operational intel tool”. Mainframe data is normalized and analyzed to identify abnormal data flows and generate electronic alerts to facilitate perimeter monitoring. False positives may be identified before the alerts are communicated.
Hard link operations for files in a file system
Methods, systems, and computer storage media for providing data operations using hard links (hard link operations) for files in a file system are provided. Accessing files using hard link operations is based on File_Name-to-File_ID mappings and File_ID-to-File_Object mappings stored in hard link data structures. In operation, a file name for file content is received to perform a data operation. The file content is accessed using the file name. The file name is associated with a hard link data structure having a File_Name-to-File_ID mapping and a File_ID-to-File_Object mapping. The file name is also associated with an alternate file name for the file content. The alternate file name is associated with an alternate hard link data structure having an alternate File_Name-to-File mapping and the File_ID-to-File_Object mapping. The alternate file name is received. The file content is accessed using the alternate file name to perform an alternate data operation on the file content.
Automatically assigning application shortcuts to folders with user-defined names
Systems and methods are described for automatically organizing application shortcuts into folders with user-defined names. An illustrative method includes identifying a plurality of keywords associated with folders with user-defined names on a device, identifying a keyword associated with an application being installed on the device, determining whether the keyword associated with the application matches a keyword in the plurality of keywords, and in response to determining that the keyword associated with the application matches a keyword in the plurality of keywords, adding a shortcut for the application to a folder with a user-defined name corresponding to the matching keyword.
SIMULTANEOUS RECORDING AND UPLOADING OF MULTIPLE AUDIO FILES OF THE SAME CONVERSATION AND AUDIO DRIFT NORMALIZATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The invention relates to simultaneous recording and uploading systems and methods, and, more particularly to a simultaneous recording and uploading multiple files from the same conversation.
Snapshot management in distributed file systems
A system and method are disclosed for managing snapshots of a file system. In accordance with one implementation, the method includes receiving, by a processing device, a request to access a snapshot of a file system and in response to determining that the requested snapshot is active, providing, to the user account, access to the requested snapshot. The method also includes in response to determining that the requested snapshot is inactive: activating the requested snapshot, providing to the user account, after the activating, access to the requested snapshot; and in response to determining, after the activating, that a number of active snapshots exceeds a threshold number of active snapshots, selecting an active snapshot and deactivating the selected active snapshot, wherein the threshold number of active snapshots corresponds to a limit on resources of the file system that are devoted to active snapshots.
AUTOMATICALLY ASSIGNING APPLICATION SHORTCUTS TO FOLDERS WITH USER-DEFINED NAMES
Systems and methods are described for automatically organizing application shortcuts into folders with user-defined In names. An illustrative method includes identifying a plurality of keywords associated with folders with user-defined names on a device, identifying a keyword associated with an application being installed on the device, determining whether the key word associated with the application matches a keyword in the plurality of keywords, and in response to determining that the keyword associated with the application matches a keyword in the plurality of keywords, adding a shortcut for the application to a folder with a user-defined name corresponding to the matching keyword.
Operations and maintenance file protection processes
Operations and Maintenance Design drawing maintenance, As-Built drawing conformance, and Record drawing conformance processes for protecting the integrity of dynamically modified files through all phases of a drawing's lifecycle.
COPY-ON-WRITE UNION FILESYSTEM
A copy-on-write union filesystem. A computer system identifies a first filesystem namespace as a mutable layer, and a second filesystem namespace as an immutable layer. The computer system exposes a merged filesystem namespace as a union filesystem that merges the mutable layer and the immutable layer, and that overlays the first filesystem namespace over the second filesystem namespace. The computer system identifies an operation on the merged filesystem namespace that requests to read from a file within the merged filesystem namespace, the file being stored in the second filesystem namespace and not being stored in the first filesystem namespace. The computer system returns a handle referencing a proxy object stored in a system memory. The proxy object includes a mapping to a file object corresponding to the file as stored in the second filesystem namespace.
Simultaneous recording and uploading of multiple audio files of the same conversation and audio drift normalization systems and methods
The invention relates to simultaneous recording and uploading systems and methods, and, more particularly to a simultaneous recording and uploading of multiple files from the same conversation.
