An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to, in a case where a destination of a job is a shared apparatus shared by plural groups and a file name of a file to be processed by the job includes confidential information, transmit the job to the shared apparatus after converting the confidential information into a different character string.

Document processing method and device

A document processing method and device are provided. The method includes: acquiring a template of a standard format document, the template including folders having a hierarchical structure, generating folder labels corresponding to the folders on the basis of the folders, acquiring a document to be processed, generating a document label of the document to be processed on the basis of the document to be processed, determining whether there is a folder label matched with the document label of the document to be processed, and associating the document to be processed with the folder corresponding to the matched folder label in a case that there is the folder label.

Predicting need to rename obscurely named documents

Embodiments generally relate to file names. In some embodiments, a method includes reading a file name of a file associated with a download operation. The method further includes generating a readability score associated with the file name based at least in part on a combination of characters in the file name. The method further includes comparing the readability score to a predetermined readability threshold. The method further includes generating a user alert if the readability score falls below the predetermined readability threshold. The method further includes enabling a user to change the file name to be readable to the user.

System And Method Of Presenting A Hybrid Cloud Cache As A File System
20240004843 · 2024-01-04 · ·

A system and methods for presenting a hybrid cloud cache as a file system. The system implements a set of standard file system command line interfaces that present the objects stored by the hybrid cloud cache to users of the system as if the users were viewing and interacting with a traditional file system. The system provides an interactive shell to the users to view the contents of the hybrid cloud cache. The system may be configured to operate on a live instance as well as on an on-disk structure of the hybrid cloud cache. The system may provide the ability to present partially cached cloud data as a file system via the interactive shell for the purposes of development, support, and troubleshooting.

FILE SYSTEM VIEW OF FILES WITH SYNTHETIC ATTRIBUTES

Technology is disclosed herein for enhancing a file aggregation service. In an implementation, a set of files associated with a user is identified. For at least a file of the set of files, one or more events that occurred with respect to the file are identified. Based at least on the one or more events, one or more synthetic attributes of the file are generated. The one or more synthetic attributes comprise an attribute that differs relative to existing attributes of the file. A file system view of the set of files is then generated which comprises the one or more synthetic attributes of the file. The file system view of the set of files is displayed to a user.

AUTOMATICALLY GENERATING THEME-BASED FOLDERS BY CLUSTERING MEDIA ITEMS IN A SEMANTIC SPACE

The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for clustering media items in a semantic space to generate theme-based folders that organize media items by content theme. In particular, the disclosed systems can access media items that are stored in an original folder structure. The disclosed systems can generate content-based tags for each media item in a collection of media items. Based on the generated tags, the disclosed systems can map the collection of media items to a semantic space and cluster the collection of media items. The disclosed systems determine themes for the clusters based on the generated tags. The disclosed systems can present a media item navigation graphical user interface comprising the collection of media items organized by themes. The disclosed system can present the media item navigation graphical user interface without altering the original folder structure.

Nearline cloud storage based on fuse framework

In one example, a method includes receiving, from a client, a request for file system information, transmitting the requested file system information to the client, receiving, from the client, a request for data that includes a portion of a file that resides at the datacenter, where the file is compatible for use by an application residing at the client, where the request for data specifies a particular byte range associated with the file, and where the byte range spans a group of different backups of a baseline dataset residing at the datacenter. The example method further includes creating a virtual synthetic that is formed by the data in the requested byte range and includes respective portions of data from each of the group of backups residing at the datacenter, and transmitting the virtual synthetic to the client.

HARD LINK OPERATIONS FOR FILES IN A FILE SYSTEM
20200364190 · 2020-11-19 ·

Methods, systems, and computer storage media for providing data operations using hard links (hard link operations) for files in a file system are provided. Accessing files using hard link operations is based on File_Name-to-File_ID mappings and File_ID-to-File_Object mappings stored in hard link data structures. In operation, a file name for file content is received to perform a data operaton. The file content is accessed using the file name. The file name is associated with a hard link data structure having a File_Name-to-File_ID mapping and a File_ID-to-File_Object mapping. The file name is also associated with an alternate file name for the file content. The alternate file name is associated with an alternate hard link data structure having an alternate File_Name-to-File mapping and the File_ID-to-File_Object mapping. The alternate file name is received. The file content is accessed using the alternate file name to perform an alternate data operation on the file content.

SNAPSHOT MANAGEMENT IN DISTRIBUTED FILE SYSTEMS
20200349122 · 2020-11-05 ·

A system and method are disclosed for managing snapshots of a file system. In accordance with one implementation, the method includes receiving, by a processing device, a request to access a snapshot of a file system and in response to determining that the requested snapshot is active, providing, to the user account, access to the requested snapshot. The method also includes in response to determining that the requested snapshot is inactive: activating the requested snapshot, providing to the user account, after the activating, access to the requested snapshot; and in response to determining, after the activating, that a number of active snapshots exceeds a threshold number of active snapshots, selecting an active snapshot and deactivating the selected active snapshot, wherein the threshold number of active snapshots corresponds to a limit on resources of the file system that are devoted to active snapshots.
