MOBILE PLATFORM FILE AND FOLDER SELECTION FUNCTIONALITIES FOR OFFLINE ACCESS AND SYNCHRONIZATION
20230079813 · 2023-03-16 ·

Systems and methods for folder synchronization and offline synchronization via a mobile platform in a web-based collaboration environment are disclosed. One embodiment includes synchronizing user selected folders and/or sub-folders via the mobile platform, using portable devices including smart phones and tablets using any mobile operating system to allow offline access. Child or sub-folders of the selected folders and/or sub-folders are automatically detected and synchronized for offline access. Any change or new content detected on the client side or on the server side is also synchronized such that the selected folders and/or sub-folders on the client and server sides are up to date.

Method for Browsing Application Folder and Electronic Device

A method for browsing an application folder includes detecting a first touch operation on a touchscreen of an electronic device, in response to the first touch operation, displaying a first user interface, where the first user interface is a setting screen of a first application program, where the first user interface includes a folder control, detecting a second touch operation on the folder control, and in response to the second touch operation, displaying a second user interface on the touchscreen, where the second user interface is a content details screen of the folder corresponding to the first application program.

Traversal rights

The present technology pertains to a organization directory hosted by a synchronized content management system. The corporate directory can provide access to user accounts for all members of the organization to all content items in the organization directory on the respective file systems of the members' client devices. Members can reach any content item at the same path as other members relative to the organization directory root on their respective client device. In some embodiments novel access permissions are granted to maintain path consistency.

Updating a remote tree for a client synchronization service
11657067 · 2023-05-23 · ·

The disclosed technology relates to a system configured to receive operations data from a content management system, wherein the operations data comprises a log of operations, execute the log of operations, and update, based on execution of the log of operations, a remote tree representing a server state for content items stored on the content management system.

System and Method for Cloud-Based Read-Only Folder Synchronization
20230075890 · 2023-03-09 ·

A system and method are provided for synchronizing read-only folders from a cloud-based server. Users can set permissions when sharing folders with other users. The permissions are enforced by client devices of the users downloading content of the folders from the server. A folder at a user's client from the shared domain may include locally modified content and shared content. Based on an indication of a change by a second user to the folder at the server, the user's client modifies a local folder. To prevent local changes made by the user from being overwritten, the user's client identifies the folder containing locally-modified content as a local content folder not to be synchronized between the plurality of clients.

Concurrent Edit Detection

A heuristics-based concurrent edit detector (“ConE”) can notify collaborators about potential conflicts that may be caused by edits made by other collaborators. ConE may compare concurrent edits submitted by collaborators, calculate the extent of overlap between two sets of edits, apply one or more filters to balance recall versus precision, and decide whether to alert the collaborators about candidate potential conflicts. ConE may be light-weight and easily scalable to work in a very large environment with numerous collaborators.

The disclosed technology relates to a system configured to identify a first operation in a first set of operations configured to converge a server state and a file system state, wherein the first operation is not in a second set of operations generated in response to an change to at least one of the server state and the file system state. The system is further configured to cancel the first operation, identify a second operation in both the first set of operations and the second set of operations, and initiate execution of the second operation concurrently with the canceling of the first operation.

REPLICATION GROUP OBJECTS CONFIGURATION IN A NETWORK-BASED DATABASE SYSTEM

Provided herein are systems and methods for configuring replication group objects. A system includes at least one hardware processor coupled to memory and configured to decode a replication request received from a client device of a data provider. The replication request indicates a plurality of account objects for replication. The plurality of account objects associated with a corresponding plurality of account object types. A replication group object is generated based on the replication request. The replication group object includes a manifest. The manifest lists the plurality of account objects. The replication of the plurality of account objects is performed from a source account of the data provider into at least one target account. The replication is based on the manifest of the replication group object.

Storage Constrained Synchronization Engine

A client application of a content management system provides instructions for synchronizing content items and placeholder items using a local file journal and updated file journal. The client application compares entries in the updated file journal to entries in the local file journal to determine modifications to make to content items or placeholder items stored in a shared content storage directory on the client device. Based on the result of the comparison, the client application replaces placeholder items with content items or replaces content items with placeholder items.

Allocation and reassignment of unique identifiers for synchronization of content items
11669544 · 2023-06-06 · ·

A client can allocate and reassociate unique identifiers to local content items associated with an account at a content management system, and use the unique identifiers to commit operations for the content items on the content management system. For example, a client can create a content item and determine the content item does not have an identifier from the content management system. The client obtains an identifier for the content item and asks the content management system to verify a uniqueness of the identifier. When the identifier is unique, the client adds a node corresponding to the content item to a local tree representing a state at the client of content items associated with the account, and uploads the content item with the identifier to the content management system. When the identifier is not unique, the client obtains a new identifier for the content item.
