BUILDING DIALOGUE STRUCTURE BY USING COMMUNICATIVE DISCOURSE TREES
20230094841 · 2023-03-30 · ·

Systems, devices, and methods of the present invention detect rhetoric agreement between texts. In an example, a rhetoric agreement application accesses a multi-part initial query and generates a question communicative discourse tree that represents rhetorical relationships between fragments of the query. The application identifies a sub-discourse tree from the question communicative discourse tree. The application generates a candidate answer communicative discourse tree for each candidate answer of a set of candidate answers. The application computes a level of complementarity between the sub-discourse tree and each candidate answer discourse tree by applying a classification model to the sub-discourse tree and candidate answer communicative discourse trees. The application selects an answer from the candidate answers based on the computed complementarity, thereby building a dialogue structure of an interactive session.

Generating partial boolean query results based on client-specified latency constraints

Systems and methods are disclosed to implement a Boolean query evaluation system that allows clients to specify a latency constraint for evaluating Boolean queries. In embodiments, the system evaluates queries using data from multiple external data sources. If some data sources fail to return data in a timely fashion to satisfy the specified latency constraint, the system will evaluate the query using the data that it was able to obtain and generate a partial answer to the query—a partial true or a partial false. In embodiments, the query response may include a reason for the partial answer, and indicate the list of data sources that failed to provide timely results. In embodiments, the system may publish a table indicating different latency constraints specified for a category of queries and the types of answers returned for those queries. Clients may use the table select latency constraints for future queries.

Form template matching to populate forms displayed by client devices

A server includes a memory and a processor to receive from a client device a screenshot of an application page from an application. The application page includes a form requiring data to be filled in by a user of the client device. A form template is extracted from the screenshot, with the extracted form template not including form field values. The extracted form template is compared to a private form template database for a match. The private form template database includes private form templates from different applications, with each private form template having form field values previously filled in for the user. Form field values from a matched private form template are provided to the client device for the client device to populate the form in the screenshot.

PREVENTING THE DISTRIBUTION OF FORBIDDEN NETWORK CONTENT USING AUTOMATIC VARIANT DETECTION
20230087460 · 2023-03-23 ·

The subject matter of this specification generally relates to preventing the distribution of forbidden network content. In one aspect, a system includes a front-end server that receives content for distribution over a data communication network. The back-end server identifies, in the query log, a set of received queries for which a given forbidden term was used to identify a search result in response to the received query even though the given forbidden term was not included in queries included in the set of received queries. The back-end server classifies, as variants of the given forbidden term, a term from one or more queries in the set of received queries that caused a search engine to use the given forbidden term to identify one or more search results in response to the one or more queries and prevents distribution of content that includes a variant.

METHOD FOR ADAPTIVE CONVERSATION STATE MANAGEMENT WITH FILTERING OPERATORS APPLIED DYNAMICALLY AS PART OF A CONVERSATIONAL INTERFACE

A system and method of processing a search request is provided. Identification of a desired content item is based on comparing a topic of the search request to previous user input. The method includes providing access to a set of content items with metadata that describes the corresponding content items and providing information about previous searches. The method further includes receiving a present input from the user and determining a relatedness measure between the information about the previous searches and an element of the present input. If the relatedness measure is high, the method also includes selecting a subset of content items based on comparing the present input and information about the previous searches with the metadata that describes the subset of content items. Otherwise, the method includes selecting a subset of content items based on comparing the present input with the metadata that describes the subset of content items.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR FILTERING CONTENT
20230114265 · 2023-04-13 ·

The present teaching relates to methods, systems, and programming for information retrieval. A search result associated with a search query is obtained and provided to a user. Upon receiving a filtering request from the user, the search result is filtered based on the filtering request to generate an updated search result. The updated search result is provided to the user in response to the filtering request.

GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE FOR A DATABASE SYSTEM
20230070791 · 2023-03-09 ·

Systems and methods are provided for improved interactive graphical user interfaces. The system allows users to visually construct queries of a database. The system can dynamically generate visual representations of supplemental data and cumulative data. Users can share annotations related to user input queries via the graphical user interface.

Dynamic query adjustment based on data protection configurations

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for dynamically adjusting queries based on data protection configurations. In one example, a request for data is received from an application. The data is indexed in at least one of a first index database, a second index database and a third index database. A first key notification indicating a protection status of a personal device is received. A query is sent to each of the first index database, the second index database and the third index database for the requested data based on the protection status of the personal device. The requested data is loaded into the application. A second key notification indicating a change in the protection status of the personal device is received. At least some of the loaded data is removed from the application based on the change in the protection status of the personal device.

RELEVANT INFORMATION RETRIEVAL IN RECORD MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

A record management system retrieves relevance information through an information retrieval model that models relevance between users, queries, and records based on user interaction data with records. Relevance information between different elements of the record management system are determined through a set of learned transformations in the information retrieval model. The record management system can quickly retrieve relevance information between different elements of the record management system given the set of learned transformations in the information retrieval model, without the need to construct separate systems for different types of relevance information. Moreover, even without access to contents of records, the record management system can determine relevant records for a given query based on user interaction data and the determined relationships between users, queries, and records learned through the information retrieval model.

Discriminating ambiguous expressions to enhance user experience

Methods and systems are provided for discriminating ambiguous expressions to enhance user experience. For example, a natural language expression may be received by a speech recognition component. The natural language expression may include at least one of words, terms, and phrases of text. A dialog hypothesis set from the natural language expression may be created by using contextual information. In some cases, the dialog hypothesis set has at least two dialog hypotheses. A plurality of dialog responses may be generated for the dialog hypothesis set. The dialog hypothesis set may be ranked based on an analysis of the plurality of the dialog responses. An action may be performed based on ranking the dialog hypothesis set.
