Method of and system for generating feature for ranking document

A method and a system for ranking a document in response to a query, the document having no value for a given feature with respect to the query. A set of documents relevant to the query is generated. The document is selected, and a set of past queries having presented the document as a search result are retrieved. Respective values for the given feature for the document with respect to the set of past queries are retrieved. A respective similarity parameter is determined between the query and each of the set of past queries. The value of the given feature for the document is generated based at least in part on the respective similarity parameter and the respective value for the given feature of at least one past query. The set of documents including the document is ranked based in part on the given feature.

Method and apparatus for intelligent interaction

A method for intelligent interaction including obtaining a query question of a user; obtaining a first query result corresponding to the query question, and outputting the first query result; and outputting push information corresponding to the query question after a first time period, where the push information comprises a second query result and/or first prompt information corresponding to the query question, and the first prompt information is to prompt an acquisition of the second query result corresponding to the query question. The method, by delaying the first time period, actively pushes the second query result corresponding to the query question to the user and/or prompts the user an obtaining of the second query result, to meet an unmet need of the user, or to better meet a need of the user, thereby improving a user experience.

Keyword ranking for query auto-completion based on product supply and demand

For query auto completion (QAC) in an eCommerce platform with constantly changing product supply and demand, a Query Mover's Distance (QMD) framework for ranking queries is used, which formulates QAC as an optimal transport problem balancing product demand and supply.

REPRODUCTION OF GRAPH DATA DURING QUERY EVALUATION

Techniques of reproduction of graph data during query time are disclosed herein. One example technique includes receiving, at a query processor, a query having a set of predicates to be evaluated on data in a graph. Upon receiving the query, the example technique includes evaluating the set of predicates based on data in the first or second partition of the graph and recording a sequence of query states of the first or second partition whose data is used to evaluate each of the set of predicates. Subsequently, the example technique includes constructing a set of snapshots of the data in the first or second partition based on the recorded query states and reevaluating the set of predicates on the constructed set of snapshots of the data in the first or second partition to troubleshoot the detected query error when the set of predicates were previously evaluated.

Document pre-processing for question-and-answer searching

Disclosed are methods, systems, devices, apparatus, media, design structures, and other implementations, including a method that includes receiving a source document, applying one or more pre-processes to the source document to produce contextual information representative of the structure and content of the source document, and transforming the source document, based on the contextual information, to generate a question-and-answer searchable document.

SUBQUERY GENERATION FROM A QUERY

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for generating subqueries from a query. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining a query, generating a set of two subqueries from the query, where the set includes a first subquery and a second subquery, determining a quality score for the set of two subqueries, determining whether the quality score for the set of two subqueries satisfies a quality threshold, and in response to determining that the quality score for the set of two subqueries satisfies the quality threshold, providing a first response to the first subquery that is responsive to a first operation that receives the first subquery as input and providing a second response to the second subquery that is responsive to a second operation that receives the second subquery as input.

Reducing CPU consumption in a federated search
11327983 · 2022-05-10 · ·

Techniques for reducing CPU consumption in a federated search are disclosed. In some example embodiments, a computer-implemented method comprises determining an initial search scope by selecting a subset of searchable resources from a plurality of searchable resources based on interaction data of a user, with the initial search scope being defined by the selected subset of searchable resources, and the interaction data indicating online activity of the user directed towards past search results of past search queries submitted by the user. A federated search for a current search query is then performed using the initial search scope, with the federated search for the current search query being restricted to only the subset of searchable resources, and current search results for the current search query are generated based on the performing of the federated search.

Method and server for classifying queries

A server, method, and non-transitory computer readable medium for classifying queries based on contextual information are provided. The server includes a network interface, a memory storage unit and a processor. The method involves receiving a plurality of queries, analyzing the queries and determining a likelihood divergence and selecting a domain. The non-transitory computer readable medium is encoded with programming instructions to direct a processor to carry out the method.

Search query-based replacement part interface

The systems and methods disclosed herein can increase the speed and ease with which a user can discover compatible replacement parts for a specified model of a product by automatically determining when the user is interested in replacement parts. A replacement part system can conclude that a user is looking for replacement parts based on the user's search queries, the user's browsing behavior, or the user's prior purchases. By automatically deducing an intention to purchase a replacement part, the replacement part system can make it easier for a user to locate suitable replacement parts. In addition, the replacement part system can be configured to tailor listing set of replacement parts search results it provides to a user. The set of search results can be tailored based on a number of criteria to increase the speed with which the user finds a compatible replacement part.

DYNAMIC QUERY ADJUSTMENT BASED ON DATA PROTECTION CONFIGURATIONS
20220129496 · 2022-04-28 ·

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for dynamically adjusting queries based on data protection configurations. In one example, a request for data is received from an application. The data is indexed in at least one of a first index database, a second index database and a third index database. A first key notification indicating a protection status of a personal device is received. A query is sent to each of the first index database, the second index database and the third index database for the requested data based on the protection status of the personal device. The requested data is loaded into the application. A second key notification indicating a change in the protection status of the personal device is received. At least some of the loaded data is removed from the application based on the change in the protection status of the personal device.
