ASSOCIATING A GRAPHICAL ELEMENT TO MEDIA CONTENT ITEM COLLECTIONS
Various embodiments provide for associating a collection of media items with a graphical element. For instance, a system can: generate corpus data from a set of features of a collection of media content items; determine a set of candidate graphical elements for the collection of media content items based on the corpus data and further based on a set of first mappings associating at least one graphical element and at least one n-gram; determine a set of prediction scores corresponding to the set of candidate graphical elements based on the set of features; determine a ranking for the set of candidate graphical elements based on the set of prediction stores; select a set of predicted graphical elements, from the set of candidate graphical elements, based on the ranking; and provide the set of predicted graphical elements in association with the collection of media content items.
Method for searching and device thereof
Provided are a method and an apparatus for searching for and acquiring information under a computing environment. The apparatus includes: at least one input device configured to receive a first query input of a first query type and a second query input of a second query type; and a controller configured to output a query input window including a first display item corresponding to the first query input and a second display item corresponding to the second query input, to automatically switch, in response to receiving the first query input, the apparatus from a first state to receive the first query input of the first query type to a second state to receive the second query input of the second query type, and to obtain a search result according to a query based on the first query input and the second query input.
Media contextual information for a displayed resource
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing contextual information for presented media. In one aspect, a method includes storing in a buffer, on a first user device, media data as buffered media data, the buffered media data being a most recent portion of media data received at the first user device, the most recent portion inclusive of the media data received from a present time to a prior time that is fixed relative to the present time; responsive to a search operation invocation at the present time, sending the buffered media data to a search processing system that is remote from the first user device; and receiving, from the search processing system and in response to the buffered media data, contextual information regarding an entity that the data processing system identified from processing the buffered media data.
File system hierarchy mirroring across cloud data stores
Techniques described herein relate to systems and methods of data storage, and more particularly to providing layering of file system functionality on an object interface. In certain embodiments, file system functionality may be layered on cloud object interfaces to provide cloud-based storage while allowing for functionality expected from a legacy applications. For instance, POSIX interfaces and semantics may be layered on cloud-based storage, while providing access to data in a manner consistent with file-based access with data organization in name hierarchies. Various embodiments also may provide for memory mapping of data so that memory map changes are reflected in persistent storage while ensuring consistency between memory map changes and writes. For example, by transforming a ZFS file system disk-based storage into ZFS cloud-based storage, the ZFS file system gains the elastic nature of cloud storage.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SELECTING IMAGES FOR A MEDIA ITEM
An electronic device obtains a collection of images, where each image in the collection of images is associated with a first set of scores. The set of first scores includes text descriptors associated with each image. The electronic devices obtains a media item associated with a second score. The second score is associated with each respective text descriptor of the set of text descriptors. The electronic device then selects a subset of the collection of images based on the first set of scores and the second set of scores. The electronic device concurrently presents a respective image of the subset of the collection of images and the media item.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO DETERMINE TAGS FOR MEDIA USING MULTIPLE MEDIA FEATURES
Example methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to determine tags for unknown media using multiple media features. Disclosed examples extract features from portions of the unknown media. Disclosed examples weight the features based at least partially on respective recognition technologies used to extract the features to determine corresponding weighted features. Disclosed examples search a database of pre-tagged media with a combination of the weighted features to generate a list of suggested tags for the unknown media, the list of suggested tags including relevancy scores for respective ones of the tags in the list. Disclosed examples assign a tag from the list of suggested tags to the unknown media based on a comparison of the relevancy score for the tag to a threshold.
Retrieval device, retrieval method, and computer program product
A retrieval device includes one or more processors. The processors acquire trajectory information indicating a movement trajectory of a target in time-series images. The processors acquire situation information indicating a peripheral situation of the target in the time-series images. The processors acquire a retrieval query containing a movement trajectory and a peripheral situation. The processors retrieve an image matching with the retrieval query among images contained in the time-series images based on the trajectory information and the situation information.
EXTRACTING AUDIOVISUAL FEATURES FROM DIGITAL COMPONENTS
Systems and methods for extracting audiovisual features from images and other digital components. A data processing system can extract image data and image features from an input image. The data processing system can match the image features to the image features of a plurality of image to identify candidate images. A second image can be selected from the candidate images based on a request that the data processing system received with the input image.
Automated highest priority ordering of content items stored on a device
A method and device relate to prioritizing content items stored on a device and, more particularly, relate to automatically ordering highest priority content items stored on a device according to multiple criteria. The method and device enabling presentation, on a display of the device, the high priority content items in order of their total priority.
Memory retention system
The present disclosure generally relates to a computer-implemented system for intelligently retaining and recalling memory data. An exemplary method comprises receiving, via a microphone of an electronic device, a speech input of the user; receiving a text input of the user; constructing a first instance of a memory data structure based on the speech input; constructing a second instance of the memory data structure based on the text input; adding the first instance and the second instance of the memory data structure to a memory stack of the user; displaying a user interface for retrieving memory data of the user; receiving, via the user interface, a beginning of a statement from the user; retrieving a particular instance of the memory data structure from the memory stack based on the beginning of the statement; and automatically displaying a completion of the statement.
